The Tap Room

Great place to go for drinks but the food is typical bar food but good. Service was good, my beer was never empty. It was exactly as I expected it to be, a solid place to go with friends and have a good time

So I order a med rare burger and the first thing I notice is that there is no red, it’s two am, crowded, and I am wayyyy toooo sober for a bad burger. About that time I noticed my burger was charred, filled with apples, a cheese, and seasoned great. You can see another review of be service and food down the street, but I am genuinely surprised at our waitress’S ability to manage the crowd and the fact that the kitchen has a FULL menu this late.

We were there this past Tuesday. Amazing food and service. Bartender was as pleasant as can be. The manager was courteous, professional and attentive. Waitress was amazing.

The food is absolutely delicious. highly recommend the strawberry, walnut, cranberry and cheese salad. ask for the dressing on the side because the salad is
huge and you’ll want to take it home. Had the beef short rib sliders last night… FABULOUS!

killer place, bar area is a bit tight. They make up for the tight bar area with a larger room with tables PLUS an awesome private patio area. The patio area is even great in the winter because they sometimes have heaters out there and tvs outside. my 2^nd favorite bar in patchogue. sorry but brickhouse has my heart for number 1.

Love the tap room. Always the bar I go to in Patchogue because it’s laid back and just the vibe I like. Buffalo mussels and disco fries — you haven’t lived until you’ve had them.
Great selection of beers on tap and always rotating. Mixed drinks are decent. Sometimes a little light handed for my taste but sometimes not. Definitely my patchogue bar of choice.

They have a really nice selection of tap beers. We had muscles ($ 5 happy hour special), and they were fantastic!
My wife had a burger and it was great! They have a nice seating area outside, so I’m looking forward to going back in the spring to hang out there and watch a Mets game.

Great beer selection and the food was once excellent. Very disappointing change since our last visit. Disco fries were once life changing, now you need a knife to cut the gravy. Congealed and out of a can. Don’t bother with the brat platter. Over cooked and expensive. The Tap Room is another example of ownership more concerned with opening more storefronts and less with focusing on what they already have in operation.

Trivia Wednesdays starting at 9:30! Great selection of beer and the food is far above average for a bar. The burgers are great as well as the baked smores. Love the tap room!

Bartender gave me my bill change and not my coin change with willful intent. She then looked at me like I was cheap and distasteful when I said where is the rest? Newsflash! I decide when and how much of my money you receive as a tip. I had the same issue at bobbique down the street. This seems to be a thing with bartenders in the area. It is wrong and unethical. I got a hold of the manager and he agreed fully. The bar is a great bar with great food but some work is needed.

Nice local bar. Good selection of beer on tap and full bar. Great for a game as they have tvs all over and a large screen projector in the back room. Also a pretty good menu as well as late night kitchen. Outdoor patio is really nice. Bar can be little crowded sometimes.

Tap Room. At one time probably the worst service in Patchogue hands down, although Meetball place could have been a close second. Good $ 5 burger special when dining in and frequent tap turn over; wing nights a steal as well, and the food is mostly on point and often the last place to grab some grub before the night winds down.
All this being said they have updated their menu, updated their staff, and are thriving. Still a couple negatives but they are so minor they need not be mentioned. DO check out the Tap Room when in town.

One of my favorite bars to come to in Patchogue for happy hour or a late night eating, they serve higher-​quality the mold bar food until 2 AM and keep a full menu which was nice… The outside patio is a nice addition because it’s a little small but they’re supposed to be expending upstairs. I always run into people here and make new friends. usually start my night off here before barhopping in Patchogue

One of my favorite places that Main st Patchogue has to offer. Usually come here at night for drinks on weekend but came here for dinner the other day and the food was very good. Only thing I don’t like about this place is when they have Live Bands it is so loud inside, it’s hard to hold a convo with anyone your with, even when they’re sitting right next to you.
LOCATION: Located at the beginning of Main street, next to the courthouse.
DECOR: Small place, not much to it. Inside has a few TVs including a big projector type screen. Outside has a very nice little patio with tables and benches.
FOOD/​DRINK: I was surprised at how much food there was on the menu. I guess because I always just came here for drinks, I never realized they had a ton of food available too. Everything from fried pickles to steak tacos to burgers to parmesan covered French fries and much more. I ordered a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Very good! Big portions and reasonable pricing (about $ 8.95 for burger and fries). The turkey burger was so juicy and good, I was very pleased. Sweet potato fries were delish also. Also ordered Sangria which was very good. I like that the drinks here are never too pricey. Cocktails are about $ 9, beers are about $ 5 – 6. Not bad at all compared to some other bars like Public House down the street (that place is pricey).
SERVICE: Staff here are always friendly and efficient. Even when the bar area is packed they are good at helping everyone quickly and getting drinks out fast.
I will definitely continue to come here on weekend nights but now I plan on also coming for dinner on occasion too =)

This place was very easy to find and had plenty of parking meter spots nearby. The service is also very good; not overbearing and was there when we needed her.
For appetizers we got orange chili wings and quesadillas. Just cheese, nothing else in it. The wings are fantastic but small. Pretty much bite-​sized if not a LITTLE bigger. They were out of the beer I originally wanted but they let me taste the ChiMay they recommended in place of the other beer and I was digging it so I ordered it. After apps I had the South Ave Burger cooked medium and I absolutely loved it. Perfectly cooked, juicy and the right amount of cheese and guac! I didn’t get to finish all of it because I kept popping those delicious freakin’ fries into my mouth. Ugh. So good.
I’d absolutely come back to this place for the beer and wings! As long as they stock their beer haha.

Not a memorable experience at all — just your average divey bar with sub-​par live music and drinks.
Service was decent in the sense we had to approach the bar to request for a waiter/​food service. Food was pretty terrible. I’m sure there’s better bars in the area.

Ordered the Riverside Ave Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Cooked medium rare– just the way I like it! Highly recommend the Orance Chili chicken wings and beer to share with friends. Will come by again; just for the wings. They are so perfect!

2 beers, 2 burger meals and one appetizer all for a great price with GROUPON! Staff and food delish!!! Atmosphere is perfect!!! Can’t wait to do it again.
Give us some more deal days. Maybe a groupon or 2. Loyalty discount or something of that sort.

It was finally gorgeous out this past weekend for the first time in what felt like approximately 27 months, so the only logical thing to do was day drink on a patio somewhere, amiright? I’m not sure what the rest of the establishments in Patchogue were thinking having their patios closed (I’m talking to you, Perabell) but Tap Room stepped up. I’d been wanting to try Tap Room for a while now and I’m so glad I finally did. I’m not saying the visit was perfect & had the weather been shitty, I might have left with a whole different attitude, however, the sun was shining, the food was great & I had good company. Don’t sweat the small stuff…
What «small stuff»? Well… the service. It was absolutely abysmal. I know it was busy, but it wasn’t THAT busy. Every time we needed something (another beer when ours had been sitting empty for like 10 minutes — not an exaggeration) we had to practically put up flares to get the attention of our server who pretty much hated us. It wasn’t the worst service I’ve ever had, but it was pretty terrible. I’ve done the job, so I sort of know what I’m talking about. But honestly, whatever. The SUN was out! Life was good.
Let’s talk about the food instead, cuz I just love food. We ordered the Crispy Dragon Chicken Wontons which were absolutely effing scrumptious. There wasn’t too much going on inside the wonton besides shredded chicken, but the chili sauce, wasabi mayo and sriracha amped them up perfectly. I wanted 10 more of them. We also ordered the steak tacos and the grilled chicken avocado wrap. Both fairly standard dishes but executed really well. The avocado in the wrap was perfectly ripe and the fries were crunchy and yummy too. I did have to ask for an extra side of ranch because what they put in the wrap was a little skimpy (and keep in mind, they charge 75 cents for extra sauce, which is kind of ridiculous). The steak tacos weren’t mine, but I wished they were. My friend really enjoyed them and they looked outstanding. I took a picture because food porn is my jam.
I’ll definitely be back. I’ll definitely be ordering those dragon chicken wontons. I’ll definitely be sitting outside on the patio day drinking in the sun… maybe the service will be better next time? It’s not a deal breaker, but it would be nice. As long as I can have those wontons, I’ll be a happy girl.

The Tap Room is one of my favorite happy hour and late night spots. They have great deals for happy hour like $ 5 mussels (get the Drunken German ones, you will NOT be dissapointed) $ 5 burgers, and $ 5 wings. They have happy hour everyday from 3 – 7 and also on Sundays during football season. Oh yeah, and they serve up $ 3 pints too!
They have a rotating selection of craft beer which includes an American beer tower, an International beer tower, and also a tower that’s reserved for most Blue Point beers.
If you’re coming here on a weekend night, prepare for it to be crowded! It’s a little small but rumor has it they’re building upstairs so when that’s done there should be plently of room to move.
They have fun things like Trivia night on Wednesdays (you can win free beer!) and they also have Tap Takeovers quite frequently.
It’s a fun little bar with much to offer!
