At the entrance stands a booth which I can only assume mans someone during festivals and events– Maybe during working hours? every time I get over to the Dock the booth’s empty. This gem of a park is South of Main St in the village. It’s a great place to connect with the world. The peaceful sounds of water lapping against the dock and the anchored boats. The weathered boardwalk perimeter guides you further south to the end where you have an unobstructed view of Fire Island National Seashore. The dock provides a place for fishing and crabbing, as well as… you guessed it; a place for boats to dock. The location also provides other parks for a longer stroll or bicycles, There’s a a pool, a high end restaurant, a crab shack, a deli, and me thinks a water ice joint, and all in the vicinity… The ‘chogue has a lot to offer.
