Fried flounder with tostones(fried platains) are my favorite. But any fried fish is great here!

Great place if you want fast service and fresh ingredients. Fish is made to order as a whole fish or fillets. Great side dishes such as yellow rice, tostones, yucca at extra cost. Also make sure you try the Fish soup and the Shrimp ceviche

Hidden gem. A whole snapper for less than a fraction in restaurants. All sides are $ 2. Outstanding, fresh caught fish yesterday. Today it is waiting for you to eat.

The food was great. It was very fresh and the portions were huge. They weigh the fish by the pound. The service was a little slow but the food more than made up for it.

The place looks like its in the«hood» but the food was iight. It was not my SC fish. The fish are cooked whole not filleted. However, it was seasoned alright. The rice with vegetables was good.

What was I thinking, going to a fish place on Good Friday? This local eatery is obviously not a secret to people in the area because, today at lunch, there was a line out the door. On the left side of the restaurant after the front entrance, there is a place your order sign in Spanish and English. Behind the counter by their display window, they have fresh seafood – stacks of whole fish, fillets, salmon steaks, etc. I realized given the crowd that I would not be able to eat in. So, I opted for take out. The guy who took my order said that the Red Snapper fillet I wanted was $ 7.99/lb. Initially, I told him I wanted a pound. He took 2 large fillets and put it on a scale. Realizing that this was way too much food for lunch, I told him I needed only 1 fillet – about $ 5 worth. Then, he took my fillet, put it in flour, and into the deep fryer. How’s that for fresh! While I was waiting for my food to cook, I took a look at their menu. There were no prices, but in hindsight this would make sense for seafood. I also noticed that many customers ordered the whole Red Snapper. With this fish, they clean it, and then, it is the same cooking process as I described for my fillet. There are a number of sides that I saw: salad, french fries, fried yuca, Spanish rice, and others. I opted for the Spanish rice, and my lunch came out to $ 7. As mentioned in a previous review, parking may be a problem. For me, this wasn’t an issue. I parked in a municipal parking lot just down the street from the restaurant. If you are a Unilocaler and like fried fish, give this place a try. Happy eating.

As no frills as no frills gets. The fish is on ice waiting for you to order. You can choose from flounder, whiting, shrimp, red snapper fillets, or whole red snapper among others. Once you make your selection the fish is lightly coated with seasoned flour and deep fried. Everything is prepared fresh as you order so be prepared for a little wait. I went with the whole red snapper. The breading was light and crispy and seasoned well enough that no extra seasoning was needed.(though a little hot sauce couldn’t hurt a person) The fish was meaty and filling. A whole fish is a nice meal for one hungry person. French fries, yuca, and plantains are available as side dishes.(You can get salad too, but seriously, you’re eating deep fried fish. Stop kidding yourself with a salad!) I got an order of yuca. The total was $ 10.75 I got mine to go and nothing got soggy in the fifteen minutes before I ate. A huge plus! The only downside is location. There’s no parking lot and street parking in the area is difficult at best. Still, it’s well worth it for amazingly simple, inexpensive, and good food.
