The Wine Line

The best part was having a designated driver! Chris, the driver, was horrible. Showed up late at almost every stop and then at the last one was rushing us to leave! I never received a confirmation email either! I had to call 4 times and email twice before I getting ahold of someone. Would only recommend as a last resort!

Horrible! Chris is the worst driver! Had my group and I waiting at every stop and rushed us at the very last one saying it was time to go when it was only 4! Would not recommend to anyone!

If I could give negative stars I would. They called the night before and then no show no call. Left Us stranded. BS! Do not use!

Don’t book this! We had reservations for three weeks and three days before our tour I realized I had no confirmation even though my card had been charged. I began calling, and like others couldn’t leave a message, tried emailing… No response! Finally decided to try and plan another tour the night before. We get a call at dinner that night from Chris explaining he won’t be able to come the following day do to a «situation» that happened the weekend before. We said didn’t matter we had planned something else. The day of the trip, someone calls to say Chris is on his way!!! What?! Then proceeds to argue with us why we aren’t going and says he is doing «damage control» because of the «situation!» Yelling at the customer is damage control… I need a glass of wine!

Great experience with Chris. He brought us around for a tour of the wineries on the western side of Paso Robles. Chris had excellent timing to move us from winery to winery so we didn’t feel rushed, but still fit in a full day of tastings. He shared his opinions on the good wineries but brought us to places we picked out of the blue (mostly because my girlfriend liked the name).

Listen to the reviews that say they will not show up with no call. Even though the owner seems to write very nice apologies with various explanations, those reviews are not flukes. The exact same thing happened to us this morning. Go with another company or end up with no plans like us.

We stumbled onto the Wine Line’s website during a last minute trip to Paso Robles and as we had not really researched the wineries, we decided to not only use their services but also did the «all inclusive» option. What a great decision. Jim (our driver) did a wonderful job of describing the area, making sure we had plenty of water to drink between wineries and managed to keep a great smile that made us feel truly welcome. We ended up stopping at 5 wineries for the day and not once were we rushed. I would choose these guys over a limo service ANY day. Five stars don’t describe how good they are. Can’t wait to come back and do this again.

I have been calling for the passed two weeks trying to make a reservation because the online reservation system is too complicated for me. Yet no one answers the phone and the voicemail is too full to leave a message.
Also no one answers their emails.

Some girlfriends and I took the Wine Line on a recent trip to Paso. We went to college in Sonoma County and are avid wine tasters. We always had friends to drive us around, but knew no one in the area, so we booked with them. Compared to private car services, the wine line is a steal at $ 60/​pp.
The driver (Jim) called us right at 9:30 to let us know when he would be coming. He got us promptly at the time stated. We only picked up 1 other group (on a Sat!!). He explained everything to us and stored our lunches and all our wine in the van while we were out and about. I really liked that he would come fetch us at each winery, enabling us to relax and not fret over time. He was knowledgeable and friendly.
We did 4 wineries, which felt a little rushed. I would recommend asking to do only 3 and having them give you more time at each, then you can truly relax and enjoy each place.
I’m using the wine line again!

IF I COULD LEAVE LESS THAN ONE STAR, I WOULD! We are so, so disappointed. After riding with the Wine Line on two other occasions, I was excited to book a day with our daughter, niece and nephew. I booked 10 days in advance and received a prompt confirmation. I was a little hesitant about booking due to negative reviews. But, because we’ve used them twice in the past with really wonderful results, I thought the past problems were in the past. So, the big day came, 9:30 came, 10am, no phone call. Tried to call but the voicemail was full. 10:30 came, no Wine Line. 11:30, no Wine Line. Now I’m reading two other reviews from today with the same experience.
I’m not going to say that Wine Line ruined our trip because we always have fun being together. But, they did mess with our day.
Wine Line, never again. It’ll be Über Wine from now on.

My husband and I just took this tour last weekend and it was great! Our driver was Leslie and she was fabulous! Everything went exactly the way it should have gone. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.
