Yum does not describe this place. I swear I heard angels sing when we walked in the door.
This is definitely an old fashioned, family run Mexican bakery. Don’t expect «fancy». The traditional cases along the wall of seductive smelling, freshly baked mexican pan dulces are fondly nostalgic and most definitely mouth watering. This is the divine stuff the nuns were selling for a fundraiser in front of San Miguel Mission that day in March.

I have been trying to hunt them down ever since. Sigh. At last!
