History
Established in 2006.
Originally named The Crooked Kilt Pub and Grill, owners Troy and Donovan opened their award winning pub on St. Patrick’s Day to the locals of Paso Robles. Regulars quickly started calling the popular pub «The Kilt.»
After opening their 2nd location in San Luis Obispo in 2010, the cousins renamed both pubs after their great grandfather Pappy McGregor as an honor to their family and their Pappy’s dream of owning a pub. Both pubs are known for upscale food, lively atmosphere, warm hospitality and lots of carrying on. Make sure you find the time to pay either location a visit when in Paso Robles or San Luis Obispo.

Business Owner
Working owners, cousins, and business partners Troy Larkin and Donovan Schmit work alongside their employees daily and have been in the restaurant business for 12 years working together to create the ultimate dining experience at all of their restaurants.
The cousins got their start in Cayucos at the now famous Schooners Wharf, which they owned from 2001 – 2010, and another Cayucos favorite Café Della Via. Stop by and ask to talk with them, they’d be more than happy to sit down and share in a pint!
