Grapeline Wine Tours

We had an AMAZING day with Fritz on our Grapeline tour. We booked based on the reviews and Unilocal didn’t let us down! Fritz is super-​friendly, knows the region like the back of his hand and we made some great stops at four local vineyards. The tour of the wine cellars at Robert Hall was particularly good, as was the end-​of-​day trip to Cass where we sat almost amongst the vines sipping our final few wines. Every vineyard was different and allowed us to explore what the region really has to offer. Lunch was delicious and at the end of the day, Fritz even gave us all local restaurant recommendations (which we followed!). Highly recommend this tour and we will definitely be booking again next time we venture up to Paso Robles.

Second time going out with this company in Paso and we’ve had Fritz as our driver both times. He’s excellent! Very friendly and knowledgeable. The company is top notch. They will make sure you have a great day.

We had a great experience with Grapeline Tours on May 3! Our driver was Danny and he went out of his way to make it a great experience. He even made a special stop to get us a shipping box for our wine purchases. He knows everybody in town and is very knowledgeable. Such a great time! Thanks Danny!

Booked our trip about a week in advance, pretty easy to book on the website and you select the food you want for lunch at the time of booking.
Our tour was on a Monday and we were picked up at our hotel on time. Our tour guide was Peggy and she was great, gave us a little information about the places we passed by and the wineries we were going to visit.
We went on a total of 4 wineries and the tasting was included. They also provide you with a pretty lunch outside of one of the wineries which included sandwich, cheese and crackers, salad and a piece of cake and water.
Would definitely do this tour again!

Trip was great. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Bus was clean and cool. Fritz was a great host. The winery’s we went to were a lot of fun.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by once again spending the day with Grapeline. We have taken this tour many times and this company always comes through and provides a fantastic experience! All of our previous tours have been in Temecula and this was our first time in Paso. We had Fritz for our driver/​guide and he was fantastic!

Unfortunately I am not reviewing the tour as I have yet to take one with Grapeline; however, I am reviewing their excellent customer service. I had to cancel my upcoming tour due to a death in the family. I emailed Grapeline and got an answer really quick telling me about the refund being processed. I cannot thank them enough for the quick reply and the kind service. If their tours are anything like their email customer service no wonder they have five stars! I will sure make it again for the tour and I can’t wait to experience Grapeline tours.

Peggy was great! We were in Paso Robles for our anniversary and decided that we wanted to go wine tasting. Booked with Grapeline Wine Tours and had a blast. We were fortunate to be the only ones on the bus that day! We went to four wineries and it was a great experience. We absolutely loved our time that day. She was extremely knowledgable about the city and the different wineries we went to. We saw quite a few CHP officers out on the highway, so this was DEFINITELY the way to go. Thank you Peggy and Grapeline for taking care of us for our Anniversary. We came home with some great local wines. We’ll be back soon! If you’re ever in Paso Robles, ask for Peggy! She’s wonderful.

Fritz was amazing! My boyfriend and I chose Grapeline after reading all of the awesome reviews and they didn’t disappoint! We went to several smaller wineries, which was nice, because they were less crowded and we received more personalized attention. There were only 8 people in our group that day which was the perfect size. Fritz was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the various wineries and wine in general. He even offered to take pictures on his personal phone and text them after the tour was over. I highly recommend this company — we’ll definitely be back!

First time in Paso Robles and had a blast wine tasting with Grapeline. Fritz was a great driver and was very knowledgeable. We had a good group, which made it more memorable for our first trip to Paso Robles. Definitely good wine here. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again.

The reviews are TRUE! Grapeline is the best way to spend a day wine tasting! This year I did two tours with Grapeline in Paso with the FABULOUS Fritz and am looking forward to returning next year for more tasting/​exploring.
Grapeline not only provides a safe, fun way to visit multiple wineries, they provide special access — meet the wine maker, tours of the facility, private rooms for tastings, extra tastings — that you can’t get visiting the wineries on your own. Plus, it seems like every winery we visited gave us at least 10% off of our purchases.
One final note — In November, I did a winery tour in Temecula with Grapeline and had the same high quality experience as in Paso.

We had an amazing time this past weekend on our wine tour in Paso Robles. Fritz was our guide and he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. I don’t have one complaint! We will definitely be back.

We had a great time on our private wine tour for my wife’s 30^th birthday in Paso! Michele, took great care of us from day one and our diver Fritz was a great host and is obviously well like by the owners and employees of all the wineries we visited.

We had a great experience with our tour guide, Fritz. You can tell them your preference too, which is something we didn’t until the end of the tour. The restaurant we got our lunch from was also very good. Overall it was a very nice experience!

We had such a great time. Our driver was Fritz and he was just as sarcastic as my husband. We got along great. We have been on a Grapeline tour before and it’s the best and safest way to go wine tasting. Plus, they get you discounts on purchases for wine and gift store items.
My favorite part is you just have to tell them what kind of wine you like and they take you to amazing places. This time We choose Castoro and Calcareus. They were both wonderful! But Fritz took us to Opolo. We loved it! We bought 6 bottles!
I wouldn’t try to wine taste here any other way!

The Grapeline offers impressive service all around. Some highlights:
I’d never been wine tasting before and this tour took out all the hassle of «decision making» and driving. Our driver David, was knowledgable about the area and happily answered all our questions with a smile on his face.
We visited four wineries on a beautiful Monday (yes, Monday!) afternoon:
1. Doce Robles: family owned and friendly, with an incredible Tempranillo wine. The owner, Jimmy, is a born and bred California farmer who obviously knows his stuff. We were able to see the operation and taste some grapes right off the vine! Don’t be surprised if two friendly German Shepards with mammoth paws wish to make your acquaintance.
2. Peachy Canyon: Cozy cottage-​like winery with excellent service. (Ask for Stephen. He’s a ninja.) You could easily imagine a summertime wedding on the lovely lawn — it really is just peachy. Try the Syrah or anything on the reserve list.
3. Shale Oak: Modern, immaculate chalet built and decorated «certifiably green» down to the last detail — you’ll want to lounge on the patio for hours or curl up near the George Jetson fireplace inside. I was a fan of their Petite Syrah.
4. Croad Vineyards: Perched atop a vine-​covered hill, this spanish colonial compound has an elegant courtyard with a million dollar view. Enjoy Aria and chat it up with the pleasant New Zealander hosts.
The picnic lunch was delicious. The options from which we selected before the tour were appreciated.
I was with a group of three, but by the end of our journey, all nine in the group were fast friends.
If you’re thinking of wine tasting in this area, book. this. tour. Seriously! Easy booking, wonderful experience where you’ll meet new friends and make lasting memories.
