20 years of Aikido and Kendo (5 yrs in Japan). Currently holds the rank of 3 Dan in Aikido and 4 Dan in Kendo and continues to train in Aikido under G. Pennewaert, Aikikai 6 Dan, Newport Beach Aikikai and in Kendo under T. Ariga, 7 Dan, Butokuden Dojo, Irvine CA. Jikishin Eishin-​Ryu Iaido instructed by J. Hooper, 2 Dan Fukushidoin.
