Adelaide Inn

An original, a reasonably priced motel with unique character and quality. I’ve done a lot of travel for business and pleasure for years and this place is one of favorites. From a great front office staff (Charlie is a standout) to finding hardcover books and a comfy recliner in the king bed rooms, this place just stands out. There are fancier hotels and plusher motels in the area but we won’t stay anywhere else.

Sad. Owners got greedy. Rooms once reasonable at just over $ 100 with tax are now going for close to double that cost!
We have been regular for over 8 years but on a fixed income so really sad to no longer stay there.

A friend suggested I stay at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles a few years ago and I keep coming back. The staff is so helpful and friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. They even have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Best part about the room is the large dressing area. One suggestion is take a top floor if possible, sometimes being on the first floor you can hear people walking above, but I must say after buying 3 cases of wine it was nice to just bring straight into our first floor room last weekend. Don’t let the name «motel» turn you off, this place is delightful. Oh and very comfortable beds!

We love this motel and stay here anytime we want to stop on the drive between LA and SF and sometimes when visiting Paso for the weekend.
I have a family with 3 kids and we always get their family suite. It has two rooms… one with a queen bed and a TV, the main room with a queen bed and a pull out couch and a TV. It has a mini fridge and microwave. There is a sizable sink area outside the bathroom so someone can get ready while others are using the shower /​bath /​toilet.
Christmas decorations are always top notch (kids love all the lights) and the pool is pretty solid for a motel.
I think the price is right and it is really convenient to the freeway, downtown Paso and the wineries. There are a few decent restaurants within a block if you don’t want to drive.
This is not a 5 star luxury hotel, but it is a very high quality motel, perfectly good for anyone looking for a clean /​comfortable hotel at a great value.
I highly recommend giving it a try sometime.

This is our 5^th or 6^th stay here at the Adelaide Inn. It is a great value with charming staff. We have never had any noise issues or paper thin walls. Close enough to everywhere in Paso. Make sure to ask for tasting coupons and winery suggestions!

Nice staff, Clean room, ok value at $ 115, but the noise. It’s like the walls are paper thin. Jake brakes, Harleys, back up horns, car alarms all night long. Finally get to sleep. Somebody fires up a leaf blower right outside my door at 7am.

Awesome hotel! Great service! We came from San Diego and were able to check in early! They were very accommodating. It was a great quiet hotel! We will definitely stay again !

Lovely room really enjoyed the window in the bathroom everything was so clean the staff was very friendly two thumbs up oh and the bed was luxurious and comfortable!

We have stayed here for years and had always been satisfied with reasonable prices and clean rooms. However we stayed for two nights this time. Both nights we woke up to the smell of smoke into the middle of the night as the air conditioner shorted out. The first night my husband was able to get the fan running at least. We called in the morning and were told that we should have called when it happened (5 am… I don’t think so). It was working when we returned so we were hopeful. It lasted until 3 am.
As we were checking out my husband explained the issue and was chastised, being told he should have called and we must have been doing things wrong.
Don’t think we will be back.

We stayed in room 506 and the card reader never worked unless the card was re-​magnetized 5 minutes beforehand. In other words, we had to walk all the way to the lobby from the second floor and the far end of the property EVERY TIME to open the door. The card reader NEVER worked properly. The staff did not fix the problem, other than re-​magnetizing the card and not fixing the actual problem. In fact, the front desk lady told me we had to swipe the card not too fast, but not too slow and not repeatedly and to rub the card against the right side of the reader (her whole concept was ridiculous — the card should work no matter what without the hocus pocus). If you stay here, refuse to stay in room 506. Otherwise, be prepared to walk all the way back to the lobby each time when you want to open your door. We stayed here last year with no problems at all. Adelaide, get your act together!

I love this cute little motel! The front desk staff was very friendly upon check-​in. After getting our keys, we were offered local restaurant recommendations as well as an invite to the wine tasting by the pool.
Our room was very clean with great furnishings. The beds were super comfortable and there were lots of pillows! My favorite part was the shower. None of that weak spray, can’t rinse your hair out, hotel shower head here. The spray was powerful while being water smart.
A couple of muffins in the lobby before check-​out and we were on our way. Of course we picked up our complementary postcard and back scratcher first! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to family, friends, or anyone staying in Paso Robles. If I’m in town, this will be the place to stay!

This is a great little oasis of a motel with clean rooms and a lot of great old world amenities.
Some of the recent scourges that society has crafted for us just isn’t tolerated here and I so love it!
First they don’t let people park in reverse and second they don’t allow dogs .
Couple that with a Starbucks and Denny’s across the street and hassle free wifi and I’m in heaven.

This is the only place I stay in Paso. They have an awesome hot tub and pool area, great staff, and comfortable beds. It is my favorite stop on Southern California trips.
If you are spending a few days in Paso Robles… this is your headquarters!

I love this little gem! I take my girls to the Mid-​State fair each year. The hotel is right across the street and there are many restaurants close by.
This family owned motel is clean, spacious and the people are friendly. I love having my coffee by the pool each morning. The garden is so pretty.
We will be back next month for a wine tasting weekend. See you soon

I’m one of those people that usually only reviews a place if it’s a negative experience. However staying at the Adelaide was so wonderful I had to write something. The service is beyond good. It feels more like a bed and breakfast than a motel. There is the resident cat, Jr. If you are lucky enough to be around when he travels through the lobby on his way to dinner make sure to give him a scratch behind the ear. There is the pool that is more salt water than chlorine and feels wonderful in the late afternoon. There are the recently remodeled rooms which look more like a 3 – 4 star hotel. The beds are Über comfortable with a choice of pillows. Free wifi. Wine tasting pool side on Friday.
But to top it off I was here for three days on work that had me out in the hot sun all day. I checked out in the morning but had one more days work in the area in 100+ heat. All day I couldn’t stop thinking of my pool experience the day before and I called the hotel when I got off to ask if I could come back for one last dip in the pool before driving home. «Yes come on by. We will have a pool key waiting at the desk for you!» And they did.

I stay at this hotel for work pretty often. It’s a nice hotel and most of the staff is pretty friendly. It’s nothing fancy but it’s in a pretty small town so don’t expect to much. Has all the basic necessities pool, cable etc… You can tell it’s a hotel for contractors by all the work trucks in lot and every once in awhile you’ll have the crazy neighbors that’s fighting with their spouse at 1a.m. either than that it’s a decent hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed the clean, quiet, spacious room and the VERY comfy bed! Loved also that the price was very affordable for the area (about $ 130/​night). Our room also came with two sinks (very handy), nice closet space, a desk, and an «easy chair» that laid back and lifted up to elevate your feet! Wonderful!
I see that one person complained about noise from other rooms. We did not have this experience, despite the fact that the hotel was full of bikers one night. Perhaps it was because we had a second floor room, but we did not even hear the cars in the parking lot let alone any of our neighbors to either side or below. I did hear one neighbor walk by and go into the room next door one night (we were there three nights), but that was it! I am a light sleeper, so I would have noticed if it had been a problem.
Also, I noticed another reviewer complained that the things they left behind when they checked out went missing… I am very surprised to see that because when we checked in we heard the front desk deal with a call from housekeeping. Apparently, someone had left a sweater behind. The desk staff raced out the front door and caught the woman who had left it just as they pulled out of the parking lot. I was impressed that she went to that trouble. While it only takes one bad apple to leave a bad impression, my experience with housekeeping was very positive (always ready with a smile, happy to give you extra toiletries, remembered you from the day before, etc) and I cannot help but think the loss of the personal property was an isolated incident.
In addition to a full complement of toiletries, thirsty towels, an ironing board and iron, and a nice size flat screen TV, the room had a small coffee maker, a 3 cubic foot refrigerator with a ½ cubic foot freezer, and a microwave. My favorite amenity (other than the super comfy, medium-​firm bed with pillow-​top, and soft comfy pillows) was the Starbucks right across the street. I would book again in a heart-​beat!

We needed a place to stay on the spur of the moment and found a good deal on the internet. We weren’t expecting much but were pleasantly surprised.
Check in was very nice, the staff very helpful with suggestions for dinner and breakfast and offerings of fresh cookies and fruit.
The room was so pretty and the bed was super comfortable. Very clean. The shower was great, excellent water pressure and heat and the make up vanity was a bonus. There is a nice fridge with microwave and a great pool and spa. We highly recommend a stay here.
