More than anything the slow paced environment is what did it for me. It set the tone for the entire meal. There was one waiter for the whole place. It took forever to place our order and even longer for the food to come out. If you’re on an hour lunch break this is not the place to eat at. My food was cold and overall just ok. Cute place, easy parking but I don’t think I’ll be back.

This is our 4th visit and we love this place for dinner and breakfast. Erik has been our waiter 3 times, and he is great. He is friendly and fast. You can sit outside with your dogs. The guacamole is fresh and amazing. The tacos classicos are my favorite.

Awesome awesome. Fresh, tasty and great service. Best iced tea ever. And the owner gave me a high five on my tea compliment. What more could a person ask for!

Came here for brunch with a friend who recommended it, and was pleasantly surprised. It is a mostly outdoor café with street-side parking. I got their Breakfast Burrito, which our waiter stated as their most popular item by far. I got mine with added guacamole, which added a nice flavor to the hearty burrito. It also came with a nice salsa that also did the trick. I am a sucker for pancakes/waffles, and tried their Buttermilk Pancakes. I was much less a fan of their pancakes, since they were just ordinary, but didn’t hate them. Service could have been better– took 10min to be seated with several empty tables, and had to ask 4 different people for the check at the end. However, was still an enjoyable experience.

Very good food, competitive prices, and a warm friendly atmosphere. A+ This place doesn’t have a lot of indoor seating(decent outside seating), but it makes up for it with excellent service, abd even better food. Try the breakfast burrito with a slice of French toast. To die for.

I came across this gem, unexpectedly, through the American Airlines dining network program. It’s located in an adorable little plaza by the Playhouse District of Pasadena. Any of their items with shrimp in it are a thumbs-up. I also tried some of their meat options in taco format, including the salmon and flounder. Both of these were good, but the stand-out and memorable one was the shrimp taco. The shrimp was plump and flavorful. I came here once for dine-in and once for take-out, and both times was helped by the same male server. He is also kind of memorable because he is always very curt, but not quite rude. I found it kind of refreshing, but my husband said he felt uncomfortable asking for anything. This restaurant, at the time of this review, also participates in Unilocal’s Eat24 system, so it can definitely help trim your bill if you order take-out with one of Eat24’s $ 2-Off-$ 10 weekend coupons.

My husband and I went here a cold night here in Pas! I was craving Mexican and hoping for a cheap eat in the area. We followed Unilocal to Yahaira’s green awning and were seated promptly by a smiling host at the bar. There are maybe 5 tables for 4 inside and a few outside and a bar. This is where you really should sit to see all that is being right in front of your eyes and say«I want that!» The lamb special looked divine, but I wasn’t feeling the higher price point for it, so I went with the empanadas. Moist and served with a great sauce! Great for an evening out — perhaps not for a «cheap eat» that fills you up. 5 stars for great service, seeing the food prepared, and shredded chicken that was moist and tasty!

Before I write my review I must say: BESTFRENCHFRIESINPASADENA. Although you wouldn’t think it of a small Mexican café, it’s true. If you’re going for the first time, get an order of fries to share. You won’t regret it. They’re always just the right texture and perfectly seasoned.(The same seasoning is used for their tortilla chips as well. I would also suggest getting some chips and guacamole as an appetizer!) This place is everything you could want. Personable and friendly staff, great location, bright art pieces on the walls, and AMAZING food. My favorites are the pasilla chiles(only served at dinner), the huevos Yucatan(breakfast) and the chicken green burrito. If you can, get a seat up at the counter so you can watch them prepare the food. I found out about this place about 7 years ago and it now has a special place in my heart!

This place is perfect for breakfast on a Friday morning. The music played over the speakers outside and inside set the mood(I’m no pro to pin the exact genre, but it’s quite appropriate for the style being served). The waiter is personable, funny, and oh so attentive. I had the special that included pork, tomatillo sauce, avocado, two eggs over easy… It was seasoned beautifully. I’m now curious about the rest of the menu.

Erik was awesome! Thank you so much for accommodating my family of 10. Doing a job with passion is rare. But tonight Erik showed us how passionate he is for his job. Besides the awesome customer care, the food was also very delicious. If it’s your first time here, don’t worry I’m sure whatever is on the menu will be delicious. Again, thanks again Erik your positive attitude and nice gestures are appreciated.

We found this place on accident. Anyhow, I highly recommend this food. It’s Mexican, but Yucatan style. «Estillo Yucatan.» Which is a state of Mexico. The server(Erik) was fantastic and hospitable. I had the Steak Torta, Empanadas, Sangria and Mango Sherbet. Good and Authentic food!

Huevos Yucatan was good, but wish there was more spice to the green sauce. It definitely tastes like its been watered down. People could take the heat, put the flavor back into it! Pumpkin pancake is currently in season(October 2015) and it’s amazing! A side of pancake is only $ 2 – 3. Will definitely be back :)

Pros: — Breakfast = We come here for breakfast on the weekends when Hubby and I are jonesing for some breakfast burritos filled with avocado and topped with spicy salsa. — Service = Terrific service. We always get what the servers recommend and the specials and we have never been steered wrong. — Parking = There’s parking in the back of the restaurant and I believe they validate. Cons: — Price = Their prices are higher than other Mexican places. Comments/Recommendations: I don’t know what it is about this place but Hubby and I love coming here for their breakfast burrito and specials when we want to spend some quality time together on the weekends. The servers are always more than happy to recommend items to you and have always made sure my coffee cup is never empty. Ooh, their coffee is delicious! It has a hint of cinnamon that is intriguing to my taste buds and keeps me coming back for more. The spicy salsa is bomb on anything.

Pretty solid Mexican restaurant located in Pasadena. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and it was delicious. I ordered the sandwich with fries which came out yummy and he ordered a burrito which was also good. I wouldn’t mind coming back someday for brunch but I’d keep in mind that the restaurant is TINY so bringing large groups here is a no no. Our server was friendly and although it took some time to get him to help us at some times, everyone was friendly and I left feeling satiated.

4 stars for the food and setting. 3 stars for the service. Nice café which also has a more catina style restaurant next door. We sat in the covered passageway which is quite cozy and shared from the sun and set back from the main street. The Cubano was nicely done and quickly gobbled up. Our other order got messed up as the chicken green burrito we ordered came out as a tostada. What to do? Send it back for the trash can or eat it. We kept it and enjoyed its crispy tostada shell. However we wished the server offered us a gesture acknowledging the mistake. In the end after querying the price difference we were given a 25¢ coin. This is a lasting memory of this place.

Came here on New Years Day — wanted to go to Urth Café but they were so packed we didn’t want to wait around for a table. This place was not to far so we decided to check it out and they had plenty of seats so we decided to give a try. Sat at the counter — watched them cook and put everything together — it wasn’t very appealing since I felt like they were kind of dirty… putting together burritos and salad with their un-glove hands… definitely wasn’t a super appetizing thing to see. But hey at least I know food didn’t drop and put back onto the plate. I ordered a Mexican Scramble and it was okay … though the portions were pretty small for 10 bucks… especially the potatoes — it was very little. My boyfriend had their Fish Tacos and those were pretty good and the portions were a little better than my scramble. The service was alright. Overall, the portions were a little too small for the price and I just don’t really think the place is all that super clean.

This breakfast burrito was going through an identity crisis… who the hell put this in a green tortilla?! This was obviously a «wrap» disguised as a breakfast burrito. But pretty damn good with the salsa, nonetheless… so all is forgiven.
