Been here a few times. Food is great & service is great.

Really nice décor, felt like i was outside in a grotto or something. The waiter, Thang was super nice and very cool. I got some hamachi which was as buttery as expected and the cucumber sunomono was so fresh and crispy. My lady got the shrimp tempura roll and it was just bad. The shrimp tasted like it was prepped and fried days ago then flash fried to order. Tasted like play dough covered in rice crispies. They took it off the bill thankfully. We would def go back as everything else was great and the staff was cool. Get those late nights shrimp in order guys…

Everything that could go wrong with a restaurant is wrong with this terrible place. I ordered from them because they were the only place open late at night, but I would have rather go hungry. First of all, they told me an hour to get my food, and it took just just under two hours to receive it with no apology for the lateness. I got wonton soup, avocado rolls, ginger fried rice and the seaweed salad. The avocado rolls had dry old rice, the wonton soup had shrimp, which I’m allergic to, the ginger fried rice had this disgusting meat that was the texture of egg and the flavor of garbage, and the seaweed salad gave my girlfriend food poisoning, which is almost impressive considering how easy it is to make the salad safe. Over all, I would choose to go hungry over going– back to this place ever again, and if I could get my money back I would, but instead I will warn you to beware of this horrific excuse for an eatery.

Don’t waste time or money here. Over priced and gross food. It smells like ass in there and it has consistently for the 3 years I’ve known the place.

The food and drink are ok, but the hostesses… wow… they are always hot girls. I give the manager props for always hiring the hottest girls to be hostesses. All of them are beautiful and exotic looking and are worth coming for them alone! The décor in the place is great too

No bueno. Price is high. Service and the Chinese food were good. Sushi. I ordered various rolls. It was mediocre. I ordered salmon skin hand roll. The salmon skin was not fresh which was appeasing. I also ordered tempura shrimp. this was also not fresh. It tasted like a was frozen /refrozen. Interior. Looked dingy. Real tacky décor. I expected more class for being located in Pasadena. It looks as if I was in the middle of China town or even a hole in the wall sushi bar.

I’ve been here a few times in the past but never remember it being this bad. Met up a friend for dinner. When we walked in she was waiting at a table already. We wait about 30 minutes watching as the waiter helped the only two other tables in the area. Finally we told someone we had been waiting with no service, no acknowledgement, and no edamame that my friend had ordered when she first got there. Finally our waiter came and said«Oh, finally everyone is here». They didn’t have mint for their mojitos, the edamame came out practically cold, and it was only after we complained that it seems that help came for our waiter and another gentleman brought out our food. Even though it seems he didn’t need the help as the restaurant wasn’t busy The decent: Green Dragon, Superfly cocktail, spicy crabmeat tempura roll The bad: Service The ugly: for charging the prices they do, they could update the menus(one portion was obviously crossed out with a sharpie and«Love Boat» was written in its place for $ 49. What is love boat? What does it have? Why is it $ 49? Inquiring minds want to know)

I used to love this place! The food WAS good. The service WAS great. The club WAS jumping. Things happen and I haven’t been back in a few years. I’ve walked through a few times but it looked dead. I figured they’d have a lot of business for NYE, so I called the night before to find out what the cover charge would be. I was told it was FREE. I planned our night around it. We got there at about 10:30. We had already walked up and down Colorado. The other club’s were popping, but charging to get in. So we walk back to Wokano and find out they’re also charging. The music sounded good. The same big security guard was there from years before. I thought he was cool. We couldn’t see inside, so we paid $ 50 to get in. There were 3 creepy dudes lurking, trying to fit in. A plastic table with a 99CENTSTORE table cloth covering it and a few beers as if it were a display for a makeshift bar. The bar restroom was out of order. We had to ask permission to use the restroom in the restaurant which was locked and closing. We had to walk through a construction area to get to the restroom. The men’s restroom was out of order. None of us wanted to stay. It was RAUNCHY! So I ask for a manager. They tell me the manager isn’t available and I can’t get my money back. That big security guard who I thought was nice, wound up being an ass! He acted all brand new. Talking about I have to speak to his supervisor, but his supervisor isn’t available. I go back in and insist on speaking to management. Another man comes out with an apron. I told him how nice the place used to be. He said he’s been working there 10 years and it’s always been that raunchy. I didn’t appreciate him insinuating I was lying. But at the same time he just disrespected himself. He even suggested I walk in and confront the girl who told me there was no cover charge. I didn’t have a name. He just though that would scare me. After at least 5 more minutes of arguing for my money back, he finally agrees and gives the big guy PERMISSION to give us our money back. Fine, but to add insult to injury, the smaller security guard insists we give them our stupid little CARNIVALRIDE tickets back so we don’t dare try to sneak in later. He really stood there and insisted on getting those stupid tickets back. F this place! For New Year’s or any other day. I guess they lived off of Jake’s business and are desperate to make money no matter how shady they go about it. I wish Jake’s was still open too!

Went in with no expectations as a vegetarian. I tried the Family Style Tofu. It was done very well. Tons of flavor, great texture and overall a great dish. It was also huge and only $ 9.00. Ordered a house salad and the dressing was delicious and very fresh. Overall a great experience and will be coming back.

This is the second time I’ve ordered take out from Wokano. First time they didn’t put the entire order inside my bag. This time the chicken from the Pad Thai I ordered(white meat only sub) was straight up ROTTEN. I took the first bite and thought my taste buds were just trying to adjust to having Asian food spiciness. Then I took another bite and almost puked. It was rancid. My partner thought I was eating seafood because she smelled fish!!! I called the manager and he is refunding just my Pad Thai(not the entire order) and argued that he will check with the kitchen manager and this has never been complained about before. I told him that I hope I don’t get seriously ill from this because they will be hearing from me again if I do. No more Wokano for me.

Don’t order the teriyaki chicken it’s as hard as a rock! It wasn’t tasty! The chicken was processed meat. We also had free rice and Kung pao trio which is three different meats. It was just ok. We got upset stomachs when we left. The food is ok but could be better.

I was starving one morning and too lazy to drive. Hopped on Unilocal found Wokcano and now this is going to be my SPOT. The girl on the phone was so kind and although I was starving I had call back having received my food and thank them. She was so patient and answered the 21 questions I had. I asked to speak to the manager and rave to him/her about how fast the delivery was and how kind the girl was. Turns out she was the manager. Estimated delivery time was 45 minutes but I got it within half an hour. I’ve always passed by but never had the chance to try it out. I been missing out all my life. Going to come by on the weekends to checkout their bar and cool ambiance! FYI their Pad Thai is so different from any other place but I love it !

Great late, late night destination. Fast attentive service with a smile. Our waiter recommended the spicy dips, which are spicy tuna and Doritos, served in a martini glass. Overall the food is fresh, served fast and the dishes are not expensive.

The place smells like the air is still. Stuffy, not snooty, but stinky. Butt stinky, moldy. I should have known better when we were first seated. «Do you smell that?» Went against my better judgement, ordered food here. Went against my natural instincts, ate and finished food here. Ended up having the worst stomach pains I’ve had since I can’t remember. Painted the toilet bowl from both ends. Skip it.

I see a lot of people calling this place over priced. I defer to that point by only one observation. The flavors of the dishes at this place is elegant and even the ambience and presentation is sophisticated. Wow! So it’s obviously going to be expensive. Food: Every dish we ordered was not only fresh but extravagant. The fire cracker roll and spicy garlic shrimp is a must order if you are a first timer at this cuisine. Omg! Epic flavors and blend of sauce. The spicy garlic shrimp is severed with a small cup of white rice. It can be had as a gravy. We also ordered chicken wings, yellow tail sushi, prince roll and green dragon roll. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The garnish on the spicy chicken wings is awesome. It crispy and has a sweet and sour spicy flavor. And hell yeah its fresh!!! Quantity: We were four of us. Quite sufficient for a variety of tastings and as a snack. But not very filling for a meal. Maybe because it’s so yum. Ambience: Lovely, delightful and pretty hut like ceilings. Service: Fast and friendly. The presentation of the dishes was really good. VFM: 4⁄5 Only because it was $ 84 bucks

Boyfriend–«it’s whatever’s» I agree the food is whatever’s, I didn’t have high expectations for this place from the start. I read other people’s reviews and they mentioned that the food was«okay» or «disappointing». The price for pad Thai was $ 10, Edamame $ 5, beef and broccoli $ 10. Pretty overpriced for only okay tasting dishes.

OMG. why did I walk in here. I feel bad giving them 1 star but I cannot give them any higher… This place is way over priced. Everything on the menu is so expensive. It’s a sushi restaurant but they don’t have any salmon rolls… Not many different rolls to choose from. I ordered the tiger roll for about $ 12 it came with like 8 small pieces of sushi and like tinier salmon pieces on top… It wasn’t bad but I just feel like it was not worth 12 bucks. The service was good though. Very good service everyone is very nice and walks by constantly incase you need something but don’t question you every 5 minutes to make sure everything is ok. I really dig the soup and salad though. The salad is so delicious I had to go for seconds. Will not be back though sorry

A solid 3 ½ stars. Nothing special really. I got the Sushi & Sashimi special and it came with miso soup and salad for $ 28. I shared this with my boyfriend and the portion was super small :( I didn’t have to spend any mula on drinks here since there is a bar called the Speakeasy at the patio(my Lemon Drop was $ 7 by the way and he bartender poured with a heavy hand). I saved $$$, yay! The quality of the fish was good and the service is good here as well. I’ll probably be back here since my friend lives right across the street but it won’t be my first choice.

This establishment is what it is _fun to grab a couple drinks after hours and grub on greasy ass Asian food that is not very good. As long as you go in with this mind set you will not be disappointed ! This is one of my fave old town bars
