Wingman

Great wings but was overcharged today and didn’t realize it until I got back to work. Bought two sets of 10 and on «Wing Wednesday» a small fry and a bottled tea and was charged $ 26.27. Wings are .50 on Wednesday so that would have been $ 10, fries I believe are 4.99 plus the drink. Doesn’t add up.
Wings are good though. Will just pay more attention next time.

Super bowl Sunday. Ordered wings in advance to be ready by 5:30. It’s past 6:00 and they still aren’t ready. Getting our money back. We paid in advance but I guess that doesn’t even help them keep their end of the deal. What a disappointment!

Not great wings honestly. No distinguishable unique factor. Buffalo wings were seasonless, then fried, then tossed in an overly buttery hot sauce rendering them grossly oily and lacking any real «kick» The honey garlic wings were just fried, then sprinkled in honey and garlic powder with nothing special about this version at all. The customer service was not very friendly either. I’d skip this

It’s not bad, but not memorable. Service was good. On the bright side, it’s next to an awesome ice cream shop called the Daily Scoop and you can eat away your dissapointment in delecious ice cream.

They’re exactly what I expected them to be: good wings for a good price.
They have about 30 different flavors of sauces to select from and they take custom orders (I like all flats).
They’ve also added a bar/​restaurant area next door which has earned them a 4^th star. It’s nice to just go and not have to do the takeout thing every time and be able to head next door for desert at Daily Scoop.

DISAPOINTED. I was excited to try Wingman based on some local media coverage when they opened. I came in and ordered a dozen wings cooked well done and waited in the store about 20 minutes. When I asked when my order would be ready, they had no record of my order despite sitting in 5 feet from the cashier the whole time. The put on the order and told me they would be done quickly, but were undercooked. My first impression will be my last impression. I love wings and had hoped this would be my new go-​to place, but the service and product were both bad.

I’m always skeptical when trying a new restaurant which we have to do every time we move, so I usually try a place a couple of times before writing a review. But this first time experience was so awesome, I don’t need another one to be able to write a good review. We had the hot wings after reading the hot wasn’t very hot and they weren’t. They were soooo tasty, crispy outside, just cooked perfectly and quite possibly addictively good. And we had the sweet chili wings, which were also very good. The flavors «hot» and «sweet chili» are much like BWW’s «spicy garlic» and «Asian Zing» respectively. And the ranch. It is so hard to find good much less great ranch, but you have it here! I am glad we found this place!

Great wings, lots of sauce options. If you like spicy, go big, they aren’t that hot, XX is what other places would have hot or even medium. Normally order pick up but did dine in recently and it was great, good atmosphere and lots of bottle beer selection.

We LOVE Wingman. Carry out about once a week at least! Need I say more?
Haven’t ever dined in, it looks nice though, like a little bar. They now serve beer. Not a large dine in area, very limited seating. So just get it to go ;)
Generous portions of wings. Always hot & saucy. Their Bleu cheese is boss. Only downside, they don’t give you enough dressing so ask for extra! I usually skip the sides, all fried stuff, eh… I’d rather just have wings. However the sweet potatoe fries are really good too! Just need salt.

Man!!! I wanna try more things I do, but those old bay wings are the cats pajamas!!!
I don’t get to go often when I ever I do I start out by trying to order something else? It never works I always get the same thing… old bay wing combo!!!
If u wanna try other stuff don’t get these as you’ll be stuck too!
I dig his place! I prefer to shop and spend local, so to say I’m fan is an understatement!

If Unilocal had half stars in their rating system, I’d give Wingman 3.5 stars.
Been a patron of Wingman since they opened a couple years ago in Pasadena. I was told by one of the employees that their wings are fresh and not frozen, and I gotta admit, their wings are delicious. The crab pretzel is also tasty. They have a good selection of sauce and I’m a huge fan of their smokey BBQ. Just a note that if you like your wings spicy, get a sauce hotter than X-​Hot as I don’t find the X-​Hot very spicy at all.
The only main negatives I’ve found with Wingman is that half the time, their celery has been stored too long which results in brown ends (gross). Also, they tend to estimate the wait time on the shorter side. There’s been a number of times that I’ve showed up in the time range specified when my order was placed, only to have to wait there as my food were still cooking. This is especially true during football season. I remember one Raven playoff game, I arrived during the estimated time and had to still wait OVER ½ HOUR LONGER. Needless to say, I was pretty ticked with that visit.
Overall, their quality of food is pretty darn good, which is what really counts in my book. Good wing joints are a thing of beauty, and Wingman is definitely up there for the area.

This place has some of the best boneless wings I’ve ever had. They are always hot and taste great. They give you plenty of sauce on the wings and plenty of blue cheese or ranch. They recently opened up a dining area which was spacious had a ton of TVs. The reason I don’t go there more often is because having chicken wings every day isn’t a very nutritious diet :).

Wings were soggy. I called and was told to come back. Were they going to pay for my gas? Nasty.

Their wings are pretty good. They’re way overpriced tho in my book. I’ll only eat here when I recive one of their 50c per Wing coupons in the mail, which they now only allow for boneless wings. They’re extremely stingy with their sauce also, so ask for extra if that’s your thing (they’ll charge for it). It’s a shame they’re not more affordable, I would come here twice a week instead of once a month if they were. I prob won’t even go once a month now, unless they change their coupons back to allowing regular wings for 50c a piece. I guess Fifers will continue getting my business in the mean time! If you don’t mind paying $ 1/​wing that are no larger than anywhere else you’d get wings, then this place will be great for you!
Last tip: Be sure to ceck your celery before you walk out of there, ours was brown last time. Disgusting!

I think these are the most gross wings I have ever had. The hot isn’t even mild, my cat was licking the sauce. What kind of wing joint has a thin non chunky blue cheese? We had to take our order home and alter the whole thing. Real blue cheese, crystal hot sauce… not returning

Tried these guys out the other day after picking my son up from his nearby karate class.
Maryland Bay were good typical old bay wings. The curry flavor wings were phenomenal. Next time will have to try something over the top spicy!

Ok… I really don’t get the reviews! Although I’m willing to give it another try, I don’t think it’s gonna be too much better. The sauce needs to be much thicker and the heat needs to be turned up on those hot sauces!

I went to Wingman’s three times during my visit to MD over the Christmas holiday. They were delicious each time. I love the garlic hot sauce and MD Bay. YUM, YUM, YUMMY!
We stopped by on a whim, not knowing a thing about this place and I’m oh so glad we did! Awesome Sauce!!!

Been here way too many times in the past week. I discovered this place while driving down Mountain Road… and glad I did. The MD bay is old bay and buffalo sauce… it’s my favorite sauce.
The spicy garlic is good too. Fresh garlic.
The parm cheese one… is just ok. I’m not a fan of the flavor from anywhere.
The owner and his staff are exceptionally nice! I’ll be a regular here! I wish they offered delivery.
Oh and… everyone is packing at this place. At first it was off putting… hopefully it serves to deter robbers and not challenge them.

Wings were nice, need to work on garlic sauces alittle but ok
Three stars because of other than the wings! Everything else we ordered was IQF! Not very pleasant while eating nice fresh wings!
Take out the IQF, make it from scratch and you will have what it takes! Leave the crappy IQF for the fast food places!
