Washington Elementary STEM Magnet provides a rigorous Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-​based curriculum that addresses the needs of each student. Our students become responsible, scientifically and technologically literate global citizens through the development of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creative skills. We strive to provide our students with a world-​class STEM experience to prepare them for future academic and career success.

STEM magnet students partner with top scientists in our region and utilize the most current technologies, with Chromebooks/​iPads in all classes, dedicated STEM and Computer Labs manned by full-​time STEM and Tech Specialists, plus a STEM Coach who supports teachers in STEM integration across the curriculum.

Washington Elementary STEM Magnet is a school of residence with an attendance area of families who have the privilege of enrolling based on their home address. Ms. Karrone Meeks is the principal at Washington Elementary STEM Magnet. She was named Principal of the Year in 2014.

At Washington Elementary STEM Magnet, we know how vitally important the primary grades are in a young person’s educational and social development, and it is our steadfast goal to provide your child with the most enriching and empowering education possible within a safe and nurturing environment.

Washington STEM has a rich history and a bright future. The dedicated teachers and staff are committed to maintaining a safe, orderly, and caring learning environment for all students. STEM education prepares all students for the challenges of the 21^st Century. Washington Elementary, as a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Magnet School, will expand the vision of students and their families.
