Miriam did such an amazing job with my hair! Knew exactly how to add texture so no matter how I move my hair around it frames around my face just perfectly. I have naturally wavy hair so even after I washed it, my waves looked great. And she is super sweet. I highly recommend her!

As far as I’m concerned Erika Babayan is a colorist extraordinaire! I followed her to Union Salon because she is the only person who always gives me the color I want. I’ve always enjoyed having non-​natural colored hair and she has been able to give me any shade of purple I’ve ever asked for! This salon is a lot more welcoming and the other stylists are much more personable. For any girl who wants to be bold and daring with their hair color, Erika is your girl! You will never leave her chair disappointed!

So I had my normal hairdresser who moved too far away and for the last 3 years I’ve tried a bunch of different places and last September I tried Union with Mirian and finally found my spot!!! I came for a second visit today. The salon has good vibes and Mirian really listens to what you want and is really down to earth. Also, the white wine is nice and a good finish to a good cut. Can’t forget the Oribe products they use. The scent is to die for!!!

I love this salon! Mostly because of Erika my stylist there! She does the most beautiful blowouts in town! Not to mention her talent with cut and color! My hair is cuter than it’s ever been! She does a beautiful job with balayage, which gives you the yummiest highlights ever, and is also not afraid to play with fun colors! My latest cut from her was the best yet! She gave my hair shape and movement I never thought it could have. Stylists don’t always know how to master my curly hair, but Erika handled it with ease and gave it new life! Be sure to check her out if you need a new doo!

I love this salon! I am always nervous trying out new hair salons, but I was most definitely not disappointed.
My hair stylist Cynthia was incredible. I explained to her the type of balayage/​ombré I wanted, showed her a couple pictures and ended up with results even better than I expected. She instantly made me feel at ease by explaining what she was going to do and made me comfortable by bringing me tea and giving me magazines to read.
I highly recommend this salon and Cynthia to anyone who wants an amazing hair cut/​color!

This place is pretty awesome! I came in with my hair that was dry and damaged at the bottom and I left with beautiful, smooth, healthy hair. I had made an appointment and they were happy to accommodate my tight schedule. My stylist was Debbie and she was so nice and not only did she listen to what I wanted she made me feel comfortable, which is a big plus for me. The parking is fairly easy, just bring quarters or come into the salon to change your dollars for quarters for the meter parking. The interior has a nice modern feel to it and everyone here is welcoming so I will definitely be back!

I’ve had really damaged hair for many years and I was never happy with any salon I went to. But I wanted to try and go blond this time so I searched and found Jessica at Union Salon. Wow! I’m so happy with how my hair color came out! She was a little worried at first because my hair was red but she did a perfect job. Her coloring technique is phenomenal ! The color came out better than I imagined. The environment is hip and everyone is so friendly and sweet. From now on, this is the only place I’m going to. I highly recommend Jessica, as she does an incredible Job. I love my hair and can’t wait my second visit after 2 months. Thanks, Jessica!

I finally chose to entrust a new stylist since moving to California a year ago. After several Google and Unilocal searches, I discovered this place. My coworker confirmed it was a good choice. I wasn’t sure which stylist I should ask for so I called to inquire about who could do dirty pastel coloring, and she scheduled me for a week later with Jennifer. She was super welcoming and a pleasure to chat with during the 2+ hour color correction process. They offer you refreshments and even run out to pay your parking meter if needed! Apparently, the parking enforcers are strict around here, but next time I’ll park in the free lot I just heard about further down on DeLacey. The salon is fairly spacious and open with nice bathrooms and a coat closet. I am thoroughly pleased with my new look, and more so happy I don’t need to search any longer for a hair stylist.

I kid you not, Miriam is a fierce goddess of hairstyling. I have a mixed ethnic background and curly hair, which has been a recipe for confusion for nearly every stylist I’ve been to. It took Miriam SECONDS to figure out exactly what I needed. She listened to what I wanted, checked throughout the cut to make sure I was happy with it, and by the end we were both super excited about the cut she created. This is hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had. The lady is a genius. Up until now I’ve always had severe anxieties about getting hair cuts. No longer, folks. I can’t wait to see what awesome cut she gives me the next time I come in! Amazing cut and the added bonus of the stylist being a sassy, hilarious badass? Yeah, I’m never letting anyone else touch my hair.

I followed my stylist for my first cut at this salon a little over a month ago. Parking is metered or paid lots. There’s a 90 min free lot further up on Delacey between Colorado and Green Street. The space is large and welcoming. Everyone is friendly. My soon-​to-​be mother-​in-​law came accompanied me to my cut and they offered her refreshment also.
Erika is now my go-​to person since she listens, provides great input, and takes great care when cutting my hair. The cut has longevity; it grows out and still looks good to a point where I’ve gone in for a cut and she thought so also. She has a great personality and is a wonderful stylist. I don’t typically curl my hair, but for this recent cut, she thought she would add nice waves since that night was a special occasion. Thank you, Erika; I did enjoy them!

Thank you Erica you are amazing. I was very nervous before coming in because I wanted a unique color, but Erica surpassed my expectations and did a phenomenal job. I am in love with my look. She is kind, friendly and extremely knowledgable.

My stylist is Amy, and this girl works wonders. I got the balayage ombré and a hair cut and Amy listened to exactly what I wanted and worked her magic. She even gave me key essential tips for the up-​keep of my hair so that it is full of volume and healthy.
My hair turned out exactly the way I wanted just like the photo example I showed Amy and then some. I appreciate a salon that listens to their customers and giving them exactly what they want. The highlights are vibrant, radiant and still looks natural and subtle. The hair was cut precisely, to a perfect medium layered length, just to my liking.

Union Salon is great and my new favorite salon since the recent addition of Erika Babayan, my favorite stylist in LA. I had virgin hair forever and was glad to let Erika add some depth with balayage highlights and it was the best hair decision I’ve made! The place is super cute and offers amazing service and great products.

I followed my awesome hair stylist Erika Babayan to this salon and I love it! The salon itself is beautiful and the team there is extremely accommodating and professional. Definitely the best hair salon in Pasadena (in my opinion).
Erika is AMAZING!!! She does a great job of providing her own recommendations while remaining consistent with what I want for my hair. She is patient, talented and very detail-​oriented — also has a great personality and keeps you laughing the entire time she is working with you.
She is now my go-​to stylist and I would HIGHLY recommend her for any styling/​cutting needs. I have always been happy with my results working with Erika, so if you go to Union Salon, you should definitely book with Erika!

Soooo glad I found this place for my fam (Okay, mostly for myself). Was new to the area last year and saw the positive reviews on Unilocal and gave them a call and took a chance…
Parking: There’s metered parking up front and up & down the street. Plus, there’s a paid lot next door. (Keep track of the meter. Bicycle meter maids circle the area and LOVE to ticket.)
Ease of scheduling: Front desk has been great about getting me appointments and calling to confirm.
Salon ambiance is cool & hip with high ceilings and a warehouse feel. You don’t feel crowded at all in this place (nice, when you have a tendency to chit chat with your stylist).
While waiting, they offer you a variety of drinks. I usually stick with a bottled water (when driving), but I have had a glass or two of wine when hubby has driven me.
My stylist? David. He’s friendly and experienced. Also, he’s taught me some tricks to keeping moisture in my hair (not so easy as you get older. Womp, womp). As a bonus, he’s prior military, so he’s done a fantastic job with my hubby’s hair when he has a reserve weekend, yet keeping it just long enough so that he doesn’t break military regs. Awesome. He’s also done a great job with my teens (teens are never easy to please and they have had no complaints).
This past weekend, since David doesn’t do Updo’s, saw Candice. Again, incredibly friendly and Very Happy with the results.
Finally, they carry great hair products.
I will definitely continue going here…

Have gotten my hair done by Amy twice! First time I went I had these horrible highlights and Amy did a great job repairing the damage that had been done – definitely takes care to make sure your hair is healthy and I left super satisfied!
Second time I went to lighten my black hair which is tricky. I kind of let her do whatever but she went through a book of options and colors and I picked some I liked! Very insightful and again left with my hair feeling super healthy and I think she did a great job, not anything drastic and natural looking result.
Only complaint is the pricing. The first time I went was ~150 $ for toning and repair which I was willing to pay to fix the damage.
Second time was over 200 $+!! Did not expect that at all and wish they would be clearer on their pricing.

Before finding my current hair stylist whom I love, I went to Jessica at the highly recommended Union Salon in January. I didn’t have much faith as I have a long history of terrible haircuts, and finding a new stylist is always a chore and disappointment. Still, I went in as positively as I could.
Jessica was very pretty and friendly. During my appointment with her, she must’ve complimented and raved about my healthy, shiny locks half a dozen times. I told her I wanted to go shorter, have movement and layers, and that my biggest concerns were that I didn’t want my hair to be as heavy and I didn’t want to spend 20-​minutes drying my hair anymore.
She seemed to get what I wanted and her assistant washed my hair. I wasn’t in the chair for that long and she even curled my hair, as I had asked for «beach waves,» but they ended up looking more like basic curled locks. I told her I liked it just fine but deep inside, I just didn’t like it. Also, Jessica charges $ 70 for a cut, so I really wanted to like it. She even gave me tips on how to curl my hair, but they weren’t very useful.
In the end, I felt pretty indifferent about my cut. I disliked it slightly more than I liked it and I wouldn’t pay $ 70 again to get the same kind of cut. It just wasn’t worth it. I felt like there wasn’t much difference, other than the shorter length (she cut about 4 – 5 inches off). It was still heavy. There were layers, but no movement. It still took me 20-​minutes to blow-​dry my hair.
Receptionist was nice, but more on the snobby side. Honey, relax. You’re in Pasadena, not Beverly Hills.

This place deserves a full 5 stars. I went in for the first time this week but it was the best salon experience I’ve had thus far. I made an appointment with Cynthia.
We talked about the options in the beginning and she took the time to listen to my concerns (as I had previously dyed my hair a few times myself and had uneven color). I didn’t want to bleach my hair but I wanted a golden brown color. She was very realistic about my options and told me what to expect and what not to expect.
It took four hours but it was worth it at the end! It turned out better than both of us expected. I did an ombré, dyed my hair at the top and just used toner on the ends which were already light. This was her suggestion and I think it was the best choice!
The ambiance of the salon is hip and professional. They offer drinks and make sure your parking is fine. Very attentive.
One small thing was that at the end, my phone had died and the front desk ladies wouldn’t let me redeem the 10% off product that i wanted to buy. I kind of understand this but at the same time I was already spending $$$ and wanted to spend even more so it sucked that they wouldn’t take my word that I would check in.
For those interested, price was 190 $ for cut and color pre-​tip.

Had my ombré done at Union Salon the other day. I was quoted 150 for shoulder length ombré on virgin hair. The girls are super nice and patient when I was showing them different styles I liked on Instagram. I told my stylist that we have to make sure the highlights don’t look copper or orange. I would be happy with either a light brown or ash. 4 hours later, the color came off completely 2 toned! The front looked perfect with ash highlights, however the back was completely copper. Of course, we had only realized this after I requested photos to be taken outside.:(
Thankfully my stylist agreed to have me stay and get the color fixed. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take a photo after we were done a second time, since the sun had already set at that point.
When it came time to pay though, it ended up costing me $ 300! Twice the original estimate! :(

I came to this salon to get my hair colored by Lema, and she is not only extremely talented, but she is a sweetheart! I had been following Lema on instagram for over a year, and had wanted her to color my hair last summer, but she was all booked so I ended up going to someone else. This year, I planned in advance so Lema could get my hair summer ready. If you want to make an apt with her, please call the salon way in advance, I’m talking at least a few months in advance. Lema is just as amazing as the photos on her instagram (her IG is lemastyyles) show, and I highly recommend her. I loved chatting it up with her while I was getting my hair done, she’s super personable and is accommodating. Above all, she is a professional, and will do everything she can to make sure you are happy with your hair. I also felt that her prices are fair, especially for the work that she does and in comparison to other salons.
This salon is very nice, and trendy. It’s a big warehouse type space. They offer you water, coffee or ice tea when you arrive and while you’re getting your hair done, and even wine! It’s street parking only though so make sure to keep track of your meter so you don’t get a ticket, because it is easy to lose track of time. I believe there are also some paid parking lots, which would prob be a better option if you will be at the salon for an extended period of time.
