Well… it’s unfortunate. I wish that I checked the reviews on this place before heading there. It’s clean… but also empty. And here is the reason why… They lack the number one skill in this industry. Customer service. Buy hey, they were empty and I was glad that i could get in quickly for a mani/pedi. Once i was in the spa chair here is where it all went downhill. She started the water, put me in the chair and then started saying what color? what color? Jeez I just sat down! She was agitated and then said I dont have time for you(really? I’ve been in your shop for less than 5 minutes and you are going bonkers? I let her finish, but then passed on the mani. I’m not one for that weird moody vibe. I tipped her well and that was that. My parting gift for never coming back. Note to the owners: If you don’t want to service the clientele in your neighborhood then move somewhere else.

Well at first I thought I liked my lashes. Well of coarse because I’ve never had eyelash extentions before. But the glue they used was hard and clumpy. N it doesn’t come off at all. And to top it off she put too much glue on some spots. I now found a better place in Montebello. My eyelashes are way better. They’re longer and curled. There’s no clumps of glue on my lashes. I guess you gotta find what shape are good for you.

I have been getting my eyelash extensions done by Mai off and on for 4 years. She has always done an excellent job and I am always extremely satisfied when I leave. I highly recommend Trendy Salon and Mai to do your eyelash extensions. Very reasonably priced from some of the other salons around. You definitely get more than what you pay for! Shop is always very clean and they always make you feel welcomed.

This place is ok. Mai is great at doing nails but I got a haircut from her that was not so hot. Don’t let the man that’s in there do your manicure or pedicure. Stick with the ladies. And go elsewhere for a haircut.

I love this nail salon, unlike other nail salons they don’t treat like a number you come and they remember your name. Peter always does my nails the way I want every time. They’re just genuinely nice people. I wish they had more of a gel color selection, but they’re working on it. If you’re looking for nice friendly nail salon check them out. New address is 690 N. Lake in Pasadena. They’re located right next to Subway Cross street is Orange Grove Mae does beautiful eyelash extensions !!

I love Peter and May. I always get the best service. The hidden secret is the Eyelash salon. Most salons charge 3 times the amount. I’ve always had a great experience at this place.

Okay, let me tell you about my new favorite brazillion wax place. I went looking for a cheaper place after paying $ 60 and having some missed areas several times. I saw the great review about Mai and called to get the price– $ 35– and booked same day. Mai is fantastic. She has a great way of making you feel comfortable and she’s quick and efficient– seriously, I was done in 20 minutes. The only problem I have is that they do not have hard wax so if it’s your first time I’d say go to a place that does and then go here to maintain. So glad I found such a great place and great waxer! Side note– they’ve moved. They’re in the 7 – 11 parking lot on Lake now.

They say you can judge the quality of restaurant by how they keep their bathrooms BUT I… SAY you can judge a business by the quality of customer service. Unfortunately, this place lacks it in a major way and they are rude to boot… I went to get my lashes done on a referral from a friend. I liked them but I had to go back a few days after to get them replenished which seemed too soon.(Note that I now go to a great place in Highland Park!!!) Peter was rude and that looking over his eyeglasses look was not nice. I am not sure if they feel that ALLLL the demographic that comes in falls into a certain category but sorry that’s not me. NEXXXXT! did I mention that I now go to a great place in Highland Park LOL

The prices are reasonable and I’ve heard that the waxing service is fantastic. Unfortunately, Mai wasn’t there so I couldn’t get my brows done. I did however, get the worst manicure of my life from the guy Peter who works there(maybe the owner). He hurt me several times and when I asked him to stop he got really annoyed. I would have been fine and gotten over it if the acrylic fill I got was decent but it wasn’t. It was TERRIBLE. I think a fill is a pretty hard thing to mess up but he sure did. I asked for a full set and he said he didn’t feel like doing it so he promised a fabulous fill. Instead he burned me with the dremel twice, yanked on my thumb so hard its now sprained and cut me. The pedicure I got was great. That’s about the only nice thing I can say about my experience. If you’re looking for a great manicure — skip Trendy Beauty Salon.

I went here to have my eyelashes redone, I had originally had them done in NJ but wasnt going to make it back for a few more weeks and it had already been a month. I am soooo impressed!!! She was so meticulous, and very gentle. i was able to get an appointment the very next day. The Décor is nothing to look at but I was happily surpised by the calming spa music and the cleanliness of the place. Very well done Trendy

What a great bargain!!! $ 19 for a Massage Spa Chair Mani/Pedi! Who wants to sit at one of those desk chairs and soak your feet in a plastic bucket plugged into the wall? Not me! It’s super clean and the workers do a fantastic job! An absolute neighbourhood treasure! They do hair cuts and dye for men and women, waxing, facials, eye lash tinting, eye lash extensions(several different types), massage and permanent makeup as well. It literally is a one stop shop!!! Peter does the best acrylic nails in town! Tiffany does excellent free hand designs! They also have this great new coloured ‘Gel Nail’ product. I had a creamy neutral colour put on my fingers and so far it has lasted a week without any major chips or peeling. As I often am extremely active(washing dishes, working out, swimming) this has been a bonus and worth the extra charge for not having to go back sooner. Mai does my mothers hair cut and colour as well as my own, including highlights, for an excellent price. She also applies individual eye lash extensions to my own lashes in a small private side room. The initial cost for this transformation is $ 100-$ 120 and the process takes a solid hour. You return for a fill in 3 to 4 weeks for a $ 40 charge. I am so pleased with this service as my natural eyelashes are short and mostly blonde. The extensions allow me to go without mascara or the rather fake looking stick on strips from CVS. I’ve received nothing but compliments about Mai’s handiwork and people are shocked to find out that my eyelashes are fake– as one cannot tell! Honestly I’m an addict to the services they offer here! Their prices are extremely cheap and fair for the excellent quality you receive. Massage Spa Chair pedis down the street start at $ 25 and don’t even include ones manicure! Eye lash extensions elsewhere are subpar @ the same out of pocket cost. For example I’ve had glue put in my eye on one occasion in Covina. At another shop I had more than half the applied lashes fall off in the first week. At larger Spas or on the West Side the same extensions are $ 200& up. She also can apply eye lash strips or other sectionals– great for those who bumble with them and that stinky white glue(not what Mai uses) at home. Perfect for that hot date, reunion or your daughters school dance! As you can tell I’m an AVID fan of Trendy! My hair, my nails and my eye lashes! Heck– if I liked waxing I’d do that too– but it’s not for me! I’m usually here 2 to 3 times a month. Call for an appointment for most of the services that require additional time such as hair dying and for women– cutting, as well as eyelashes. They do take walk ins but– as with any nail shop– they may have customer or two waiting or need to ask you to return later at an appointed time. Hurrah for Trendy! They keep me looking tip-top and I’d be a shambles with out them!

Mai is fantastic for waxing but skip the nail service. I had an older man do my manicure and even before I had left the salon my nails looked a hot mess, but I’m an optimist so I rolled with it. At least the color was very neutral. There were bubbles in the«paint», he cut them way too short, he also screwed up my cuticles and didn’t even cover the entire nail with polish. Then a younger girl did my pedicure and it was well below basic. Something I could have done at home on my own. Two days later and both my hands and feet look a wreck. Everyone in the salon was nice, if that means anything. But Mai was the best. My bikini wax didn’t hurt a bit, she was extremely patient and made me feel very comfortable. Oh, and my eyebrows look dynamite. I’d only return for waxing — brows were $ 7 when I went.
