For over 22 years, Matthew Cargal has devoted his practice exclusively to defending people accused of DUI, drunk driving and other criminal offenses. Matthew Cargal graduated from the UC Berkeley in 1986 with a degree in Political Science. He received his JD from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1992 and became a licensed attorney that same year. He is an attorney in good standing with the California State Bar, has no record of discipline and is licensed to practice in both state and Federal courts. He has worked for both government agencies and private attorneys as a either a general criminal defense attorney or focusing exclusively on DUI defense. He has litigated hundreds of felony and misdemeanor criminal cases with a focus on DUI cases and has successfully represented clients at all stages of court proceedings, including arraignment, bail hearings, preliminary hearings, probation violations, trial and sentencing hearings. Mr. Cargal has also represented hundreds of people before the Department of Motor Vehicles on a variety of license suspension issues and has a high success rate.
