Specialties

The Bar Method™ is a one-hour, total body workout. It starts with a warm-up, free-weight exercises and push-ups and moves on to intense leg and seat work at the bar, then abdominal work at the bar and on mats. Every exercise includes active stretching and is followed by additional stretching to elongate the muscles just worked to give the body a long, lean, dancer-like shape.

The studio is located at 32 Mills Place in Mills Place shopping alley between Delacey Ave and Fair Oaks Ave. Our loft-style second floor location can be found in a charming historic building adjacent to the Equator restaurant and across from the Burke Williams Spa.

Parking is located one– half block in either direction at the Delacey and Schoolhouse (Fair Oaks Ave.) Parking Garages are free for the first 90 minutes. Metered Street Parking is also available and is free before 11am on many of Old Town’s bordering streets.

Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made online or by telephone.

History

Established in 2009.

Since its founding in 1991 by Bar Method creator Burr Leonard, The Bar Method™workout has been creating uniquely lean, firm, sculpted bodies by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training into a powerful exercise format that quickly and safely reshapes and elongates muscles.

The result is a noticeable «Bar Method» sculpted body featuring:

Firm, elongated muscles

Reduced body fat

Long, narrow thighs

A lifted seat and defined hamstrings

Strong, flat abdominals

Improved Posture

Increased stamina and energy

Extended youthfulness

The studio has been open since Aug. 2009. We were thrilled to receive the «Best Burn in Pasadena» award by Pasadena Mag. in ’10, Best Weight Loss Program by Pasadena Weekly in ’11, and Best barre-based fitness in ’12 by Pasadena Mag.
