Arolyn Burns is an extremely gifted professional therapist who empowers you to overcome life’s barriers. She is an excellent «sounding board» and will give you homework to help you gain insight to battling your obstacles.

I originally went to Arolyn for hypnotherapy but I underwent regular therapy as well. I cannot recommend her enough.
Hypnotherapy at The A Treatment Center is always personalized to you. Arolyn will spend some time with you each session discussing your issues and in subsequent sessions the progress you have made and where you are having trouble. She will then use your conversation and of course her psychological insight to personalize the hypnotherapy session so that the hypnosis will directly address your issue. After a few sessions you’ll receive a tape which you will listen to every day for a week or so and then some follow up sessions.
This is immensely more helpful than more standardized forms of hypnotherapy that you’ll find in books or generic CDs/​downloads. The suggestions you’ll receive are for exactly those items you want to work on, not general concepts that could apply to anyone and may or may not apply to you. I think it’s also so important that Arolyn is not just a hypnotherapist but an MFT. A therapist (especially one as insightful as Arolyn), can really help get down to the root of your issue and use that revelation in hypnotherapy.
I have had the good fortune of also undergoing therapy with Arolyn and she really is great. She is sensitive and kind and you can always feel comfortable with her. But something I really appreciate is that she is realistic and lives in the real world, i.e. she is not overly cerebral about your problems, but gives you exercises and advice that will directly affect you and help you deal with your issues and most of all, grow as a person. Even years after I have ended consistent therapy I find myself going through my life or running into a problem and thinking about Arolyn’s advice (and if I’m being good, I actually apply it).
Everyone needs to find the therapist or hypnotherapist that is right for them but I highly recommend giving The A Treatment Center a try.

I had hypnotherapy for my test anxiety. Arolyn is down to earth, friendly and empathetic. She was accommodating to my schedule and made sure I got hypnotherapy before my exam. I listened to the hypnotherapy recording everyday and I passed the exam!!!

They have a wide selection of services. I have not had treatments done by them yet, but was very impressed by the phone consultation.

I think Arolyn is wonderful! I had hypothesis treatment years ago and I still have the recording. My session/​recording was unique to who I am and it was full of affirmations that still impact my life today.

After shopping around and meeting with several different therapists I finally found one who I will never forget. Arolyn has literally changed my life and I consider her a blessing. I suffer from depression and anxiety that was once crippling to my education and career, and with the help of Arolyn I have now learned how to manage it and not let it consume my life. During my work with Arolyn we have done hypnosis, EMDR, and cognitive therapy. Arolyn is very easy to talk to, trustworthy and she does not judge at all. I feel enormously safe with her and after every session I feel free as if all the negativity has been released. Arolyn will assign homework and I highly recommend that every task gets completed as it will only help to heal you and make you mentally stronger. Before the session is over I noticed that sometimes she will share some sort of relatable anecdote that is often very helpful and very humorous and I leave her office laughing and I feel like all the weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Arolyn is my life coach and therapist and I will forever be a loyal client of hers.

Arolyn Burns is fantastic. I came in to see her for two very significant issues and needless to say, she changed my life. Her style is based on your preference, mine was more of a life coaching style. She is skilled in a variety of areas including EMDR and hypnosis. I am forever grateful for her excellent service and consider myself blessed to have found her.
