Skin Deep Laser Medspa

This review is for their tattoo removal services (PicoSure). I have been coming here to get my tattoo removed for about a year now, and have had 7 treatments done so far, and it’s fading very nicely! Still a ways to go, but I am happy with the results. My tattoo was very dark to start out with (blacks, purples, yellows and greens) and now all that’s left is the black, and the yellow and green (which will be fading a lot more now that they have the new laser to target brighter colors).
I am extremely happy with the staff here. TEN stars to Nicole. She is fantastic! She is extremely gentle and cares about the comfortability of her patients. Every time I come in I can look forward to having conversations with her about other stuff besides the treatment to get my mind off the pain… But guess what. The pain only lasts like 20 minutes and then it’s over with!
I was originally afraid to start my tattoo removal treatments but Nicole is very helpful with the process and makes it to where you’re in the least pain possible.
I definitely recommend coming here if anyone is thinking of going through a tattoo removal. Yes, it’s a long process, however, PicoSure is the way to go and, although I don’t have any experience with other tattoo removal places, the staff here is top notch and you can be confident that you’re getting the best treatment possible with the trained staff.

I called Skin Deep Laser Medspa first thing in the morning in hopes of getting in for a same day botox appointment and they were able to get me right in. The service was great, very good atmosphere and they made me feel very relaxed and they were very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is a long overdue review… I love this spa, and I love the esthetician, Michelle, that does my facials. She’s very knowledgeable and personable, and takes great notes of what my concerns are, and always communicates with me before the service. She also noted in the file of what products I am allergic to just so my skin doesn’t react badly after the service.
I have been seeing her for a few years now, but recently I moved across town and it’s been difficult coming here because of the distance and traffic, but I would still make it happen because that’s how great my skin feels afterwards. They don’t have that many estheticians so the appointments tend to book up quickly.

Dr. Schwartz and staff at the Skin Deep Laser Medspa are the best in its field in Pasadena. I have had several cosmetic procedures done in this facility and received nothing but the best care and professional service! The staff are always very friendly, accommodating, and professional.
Dr. Schwartz is professional, have integrity, sympathetic and so approachable with a quick sense of humor. He is knowledgeable in his field, explains everything thoroughly and will not even hesitate to let you know if a procedure is not necessary. That itself tells you a lot about him as a plastic surgeon. He is skillful and will not overdue a procedure always aiming for the natural look. Everyone at the Pasadena office from Chelsea, the nurses and the front desk are truly the best! I highly recommend this facility.

I just moved to Pasadena and have been asking friends for personal referrals to a med spa. Skin Deep was recommended without question and I read their reviews on Unilocal along with other med spas nearby. Overall, I read the quality and detail of the reviews which helped me feel comfortable setting an appt. The person answering the phone was extremely professional and genuinely helpful when I called for directions and had many questions. I have been going to the same med spa in my old city for 10 years. When I met Michelle, I immediately felt comfortable and confident in her skills and genuine passion for her clients. The atmosphere when I was receiving my facial /​consultation was both relaxing and informative. Michelle made me feel comfortable and I did not feel judged. I left booking my next appointment and a customized regiment of products. I highly recommend Michelle. The products have already brightened and starting smoothing my skin.

I went to Medspa for Ultherapy, which is a powerful ultra sound treatment for lifting and tightening sagging skin. Crystal was my aesthetician who gave me the treatment, she is very caring and was very hands on with the Ulthera machine. Even though my face is still swollen from the treatment, I know that she did a super job, as I can see the tightening and lifting on my face and chin in the mirror already. Thank you Crystal for a phenomenal job!

It has been a month since I had my Derma Pen with PRP service with Tammy. I was a little skeptical at first but I have to say that after 4 weeks I’m still very happy with the results. I am 39 years old and my skin has not looked this amazing since I was in my 20’s. I am now 39 and I am sold on the Derma Pen with PRP. My pores are noticeably smaller and the fine wrinkles around my eyes are a lot softer. I can even tell that it helped break up a little bit of the sun damage that I have on my on my face. My skin looks and feels as if i have a primer on it 24 hours a day. Tammy mentioned that I would see the best results after a series of three Derma Pens with PRP, about 4 to 5 weeks apart. I’m about to book my second appointment and I am very excited. I highly recommend this service to anyone who is wondering about it. You will not be disappointed.

This is a really wonderful place. Dr. Schwartz who does Botox and other cosmetic procedures (who is a lovely and talented plastic surgeon) has recently moved his offices here and not only is it a more luxurious and welcoming environment, but the additional treatments offered by the nurses and aestheticians are truly phenomenal. I was having bad breakouts and some acne scarring, as well as sun damage, and thought a laser peel might help so I inquired about that. However, the Dr. thought PRP with dermapen would be much more effective. They draw blood and centrifuge it and draw out the body’s own healing factors through a very interesting process that apparently Kobe Bryant is using instead of surgery. Tammy, the RN who administers my treatments, is really a find and a wonderful and funny person. I really think anyone who needs help with their complexion would do well to try it. It’s not cheap; however, in Beverly Hills they are charging 3000 a session for this kind of treatment. At Medispa, it’s a third of that price and they offer a 3 treatment deal that saves you $ 400. So if you need tattoo removal, breast implants, the best facial you will ever get (thanks Karoline), or cutting edge cosmetic procedures, you should definitely look into Medispa in Pasadena.

I love this place! I came here recently for laser hair removal and got Tamara, she was wonderful!!! I was nervous that it would hurt and she took care of me with numbing cream and ice, it was actually quite easy, and she was very lovely. I definitely plan to come to her for more laser hair removal and other services! thanks for being awesome Tamara!!!

I have been come to this place for 2 years from now. Easy to find. Nice parking. The spa is clean and people here are very nice ! Michelle is really sweet and friendly ! She helped me a lot with my skin problems ! Highly recommend here !!

Loved it!!! Very first time here… Had no trouble with parking the girl at the desk was welcoming and offered me something to drink i was given a water bottle not a cup like some other places :)…MICHELLE did my mini facial and i loved it. She explained everything she was about to do and she told me what to expect and constantly asked if i was doing okay… My consultation was great she explained everything well… She made me feel real comfortable and she wasn’t pushy at all… Over all this place seems very clean and proffesional the relaxed ambience is amazing… I’m looking forward to my appointment next week!

I scheduled an appointment at Skin Deep MedSpa for a consultation to start treating my acne problem. Michelle took a look at my skin, and began with a Deep Pore facial, first of all it was very relaxing, during the extractions it was a bit uncomfortable but nothing I couldnt tolerate, (I ve done more painful extractions on myself !) Of course after she finished my skin was a bit red and marked where she removed the black heads .but Im glad she did !, I will definitely come back to continue further treatments and hopefully get much better looking skin ! .
Over all, very nice and clean office .

I had an AMAZING microdermabrasion treatment yesterday with Michelle. My skin feels incredible today!!! I already see a difference in the texture, so smooth and soft. She took her time and I like that she informs me on everything she is using. The spa is very clean and warm. I will definitely be a regular here!

I received a birthday gift from my Brother & sister-​in-​law this year of a Skin Deep Custom Facial. I had never gotten a facial before and did not know what to expect. As i walked into the serene environment i was greeted by a very nice front desk receptionist. I was offered something to drink while i filled out some paper work. After i was greeted by Kathleen who was going to be the one doing my facial. She was very nice and warm. We went into the room which was dimmed and had a calming scent and the music playing in the background made the experience so tranquil. I am 4.5 months pregnant and this was exactly what i needed a spa day to just relax. Kathleen walked me through the entire experience telling me what she was doing along the way.
After she completed the facial, my skin felt amazing! it feels like i had a brand new face. My skin glowed and I’m so used to always having makeup on but after the facial i felt no need to put any on. I definitely recommend everyone come to the Skin Deep Laser Medspa and get pampered.

I originally gave this place 5 stars because the consultation was so thorough and I felt genuinely cared about… I had a chemical peel by Michelle (nice girl)… the chemical peel was to try to make little blemishes I had left from «adolescent» acne breakouts. now that I look at my face it wasn’t that bad before I got the peel here… I wish the results came out good because the experience here was nice… however I broke out in acne within the next month of the chemical peel worse than I EVER had broken out in my LIFE. and it literally like re-​opened my pores or something because I’ve been breaking out since (getting less severe as the months go by though) I have a whole new set of scars and for the first 4 – 5 months of breaking out I didn’t even want to go out… I didn’t goto my own cousins wedding cause of breakouts (made up some Bs excuse)… going to Skin Deep was easily the worst decision I made in the past 3 years. I don’t think they’re maliciously trying to make me break-​out. from what I was told by several dermatologists was that it most likely wasn’t the peel itself, but the after-​care regimen they had me on. the moisturizer they gave me basically clogged my pores to high heaven. but I was just doing what they were telling me to do… which was obviously a huge mistake. hindsight is always ²⁰⁄₂₀ though right? Do yourself a favor and do NOT go here if your skin has been or is prone to acne… i’d seriously give this place negative 5 stars for the misery of a year it turned 2012 into…
the reason it took me so long to give this place a re-​review? i’m not sure. I just figured theres nothing i can do about it… i mean i signed all sorts of disclaimers (im assuming) and its not like i wanted to go back there for «repair» i’ve been meaning to write this… but just been lazy (im more of a Unilocal READER than a reviewer) I finally got around to doing it right now, so others dont make the same mistake…

Thrilled to find Tamara (aka Tammi) for my Botox and fillers (uneven lips/​under-​eye sag). My ‘maintenance’ has been once year for the past seven years and I have no
shame admitting this… as well as encouraging the timid or curious to pony up the money for beauty treatments. Botox is quite affordable. Juvaderm, the filler, is about $ 350, and that will plump your lips or eradicate smile lines just fine.
The concern is finding an aesthetically talented, medically accredited technician that wants to collaborate with you. To paraphrase my father’s comment «We’re not having a conversation if one of us talks more than the other» Tamara and I batted the ball around for a solid half hour until we were in mutual agreement about ‘how much’ and
’where’. I have never been this pleased before.
She LOVES her job. Getting the correct results is totally how she operates. Seven years of Med Spa experiences and I am pleased to find Tamara. Very bright. Very Professional. If you are searching Unilocal as I did please trust my testimony. My first impression is that she looked so young but this is a well-​educated up-​to-​date gal.
Have to also mention Angelica, one of the front desk girls who made such a great impression. I would hire her in a second.
I found the best experience at Skin Deep. I look pretty good thanks to the facility and of course, Tamara.

What happened to Natalie? She was Skin Deep’s raison d’être.
