History

Established in 2011.

Roof Repair Specialist started as a small company with 2 workers and the idea that small jobs deserve attention as well. For a couple of years it stayed that way. The owner and 1 technician would travel around and do a repair here and there, making sure that the small guys were looked after. A couple years later, and the concept is still the same; Focus On The Repairs. Roof Repair Specialist is continuing to grow in size and is still holding true to its local/​small scale mentality when it comes to work. We care about the smaller projects, the «quick fix» and the jobs that the «bigger guys» don’t want to do.

Business Owner

Andre has been in the construction industry for over 12 years completing projects from installing doors to new home construction, to maintenance and renovation of 20+ unit commercial properties. Some years ago, his idea was to take his knowledge and experience, and use it to do one thing, and do it really well. Andre chose to use his expertise to train inspectors and technicians the art of leak detection and roof repair. With a crew of 3 technicians, 2 inspectors, 1 project manager, and over 100 years in combined experience, Andre continues to push his crew to be more and more detailed.

His idea was to save customers money by repairing instead of replacing, and his crews mindset follows that idea!

Do not use this company. They did a «patch» job for me pre-​El Niño, and it absolutely didn’t patch the roof. Even worse, trying to get them to attend to the problem and provide a solution has been wrought with challenges, poor communication, workmen showing up unannounced when I was out of town, confusion as to who actually performed the work, empty assurances that everything would be taken care of, etc., etc., etc.
This is a buyer’s market — don’t settle for these poor craftsmen.

Roof repair specialist went above and beyond when it comes to quality of work. Peter is always available to answer questions and walk you through and make you comfortable with a job that you have no idea about. With a description and reason for everything Peter provided a proposal on our commercial property to extend the life of the roof. They were not the cheapest but they were definitely the most caring, punctual, and informative. A few other roofers just sent as an estimate saying that this is what needs to be done. How do you expect me to make a decision like that? After Peter nailed all of our concerns and the job was approved, they were available within a week to start the project. Gabriel and the others were very active. Arrived every morning and notified us that they were starting. In the 3 days that they were there the only time we felt like construction was going on was when we saw there trucks outside. Thank you so much to the whole crew. Definitely call them if you need maintenance. They will be far more detailed than other roofer

Fast and professional responses from the owner Chris on Unilocal.His inspector Peter arrived super prompt and immediately set to work checking out our turbine vent that I thought might need to be replaced. He fixed the issue, free of charge, and was on his way! Needless to say, if anything else comes up with my roof, I know who I’ll be calling.

Thanks, Roof Repair. This is my third time using this company. I manage an apartment complex, and the roof was replaced completely 5 years ago. It’s clear at this point that the old contractor didn’t do a great job, but Roof Repair Specialist comes in every time and takes care of the issue. Their quality and precision is excellent, and they will keep you updated and work with your schedule. Peter always makes sure that the work stays on schedule and that we receive pictures of the work. They are very fairly priced and know how to be a great balance of professional and friendly. Highly recommended for jobs of any size.

I am a manager at a real estate office and I have called Roof Repair Specialist to provide inspections for our clients. They are always on time, responsive, and helpful. We have come to trust their opinion and rely on their inspectors to make sure that our clients are provided with the best option. On our most recent project Roof Repair Specialist saved our client $ 14,000 by repairing a leak area and doing a general roof maintenance, while the roofer from the buy side was insisting that the home would not pass for certification without a new roof. Everyone was so pleased with the work and the certificate was issued. Honest group and always available to speak.

We recently hired Roof Repair Specialist to do a few projects on commercial buildings. There were 8 leak areas and we decided to coat the roofs to protect from the sun. The inspector was very knowledgeable and informative when it came to the coating since none of us knew much about it. He took the time to explain and go over the benefits and cost effectiveness of the different types. We went with the elastomeric coating to save on energy bills and keep the buildings cool during the summer and elongate the life of the roof. The technicians were sure to test the leak areas before they began the coating process and all the leaks were stopped!!!
It took a while to get the coating started because of the rains, they recommended the roofs be completely dry. I am impressed by how clean they worked and through all the mess that was created from trash and materials nothing inside was ever dirty. The roofs look great.

I called this company a few weeks ago and the whole process was very smooth. I had an ongoing leak in my investment property and the tenants were being a real pain because the problem wasn’t getting solved. Peter came out the first time and gave two options of how to fix the leak. The quicker (patch) job and a more extensive version.
I went with the patch job to save the money (against peters advice). Sure enough the repair didn’t hold.
However. Only 2 days later the technician was there and they did the more extensive job. They discounted the price so that I didn’t have to pay full price for both jobs. I got everything fixed for under a $ 1000!!! By evening time I had pictures of the job sent to me. I tested with my hose and NO water !!!

They Specialize in taking your money and not fixing your leak. Payed them $ 800, the guy they send came twice both times said the leak was repaired and it wasn’t. I called them about a month ago, they said they will come after the rain stops, one month and counting. I saw on the news after the fact that most Unilocal positive reviews are fake. I would think twice before hiring this company!

I’m so glad the economy is going gangbusters and roofing contractors have more work than they need so they can afford to alienate potential customers. Why not tell the truth? Why not just be up front and tell us they don’t need or want our job? Why keep us hanging on by telling us you’ll show up for work and then flake out?
We had such high hopes after communicating initially with Chris. Affable, agreeable and seemed earnest.
Communication is key in any relationship and a business relationship is no different. Peter isn’t going to win any awards for congeniality or personality, and you’d think that a business’ first contact with a potential client would be at least professional and pleasant. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
Two page contract, Chris folded the first page back and has an 89 year old man «just sign here» without letting him read it and then leaves WITHOUT giving the homeowner a copy of the signed contract. Homeowner calls Chris who says he’ll bring a copy of the homeowner-​signed contract on Sunday when he begins work. Chris doesn’t show up — nobody shows up. Chris doesn’t call, nobody calls. Homeowner calls and leaves messages that aren’t returned. Homeowner then has daughter stop by the «business» to leave a letter for Chris. SURPRISE! It’s not a business address, but only a mailbox.
Most people have fax machines at home these days and can make copies right there on the spot. I would have gladly done that to make life easier for both Chris and the homeowner, if that was the problem, but Chris didn’t let us know.
What’s a potential client to do when they can’t trust a business owner (who has our signature already on a contract) to behave in a professional manner? Write a review and find a reputable contractor. And hope the reviewed business learns from the *numerous* negative reviews and cares enough to make some changes if he wants to remain in business and EARN a good reputation.

We had a leak we needed fixed before the rainy season. Called Roof Repair Specialists because of their high Unilocal reviews. After some disappointment with their first contractor they sent out, I have to say that Andre, the owner, contacted us immediately and offered to do whatever it took to «make it right.» Andre personally came to our house, refunded us our deposit, and he made sure the work was completed to our satisfaction. He even made sure they cleaned out our rain gutters, which was not a part of the original deal. So, I applaud them for their professionalism in completing this job in the way that they did for us. Speaks to their integrity. Big learning for us … we will be smarter next time.

Made an appointment with Chris on a Saturday for the following Saturday at 1:00 pm. Fast forward to appointment day 1:30, no one had arrived yet and did not get any phone calls. I called up Chris to see what was going on and he said someone should be on their way and should be arriving shortly. Fast forward another hour and a half, nothing. Called Chris back but this time he screens my phone call. I know he ignored my call because shortly after I hung up, someone named Greg the roofer calls me back saying Chris told him to call me. I was a little frustrated so Greg sets up an appointment on the following Monday saying he’s sorry and that he would give me a good deal on my roofing repairs. Fast forward to Monday, nothing.
If you do not want my business, then just say so. Thanks for nothing.

I asked four different roofing companies to give me an estimate on my roof. All of them said that my roof must be replaced to the tune of $ 10,000. Roof repair specialist came in and gave me an estimate to just do small repairs on the roof. At the moment, the roof has been through several pouring rains and it is doing just fine. I plan to have these guys check on my roof once a year to make it last longer.

The company’s name says it all. They are roof repair specialists. They were available immediately after calling, and turned around a quick quote.
They adjusted their schedule to our needs, and worked long hours to finish before an important deadline for us.
The manager for the repair, Chris was extremely knowledgable and was able to explain in detail the work required, as well as the differences between a cut-​corners job and the work that they deliver.
The very few in-​process issues we had during the project were very minor and to be expected on construction work but still were immediately addressed by Chris.
We had one other minor issue at the very end, but as soon as the owner, Andre, heard about it, he responded within minutes and came out personally the same day to not only take care of the matter but went above and beyond by inspecting the work and alerting us to some unrelated items, non-​roofing, we would need to take care of in the near future.
All in all, the work was done quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this company as your first call at the sign of any roof issues.

I had a problem with a leaking roof after the rains this past weekend and called Roof Repair Specialists.
Andre, the owner personally came out and was everything a panicked homeowner could ask for. He spent a long time on the roof to ensure he was correctly diagnosing the problem, explained everything to me patiently, and then offered helpful suggestions for a fix.
A great experience with this company and the owner is a real pro.

I found this company online on Unilocal and have been very pleased. During the last rain I had problems due to another contacting company, House Next Door that fixed a board in my living room that was starting to get mold but then punctured my roof. I called them to fix the problem that had been created, but they came out and told me I needed a new roof. I had 2 people give me estimated on my flat roof when my other roof had been replaced and was told my flat roof could potentially last 10 – 15 more years. However, they wanted 10, 500 to fix a 650 sqft flat roof — a huge rip off.
I called and spoke to Greg and explained that I was having a few leaks in my living room. And I was worried with another rain coming out. Greg came out and did an entire evaluation and I can see why this company came highly recommended. He came out the following day, repaired my roof and also fixed some problem areas. I couldn’t be happier. I found them to be kind, helpful, honest, and the entire team really had strong work ethics.
I also found out that i had problems with my solar company going bankrupt in the middle of the project and he did a good job of trying to put me into contact with people who can help him. Greg is amazing and I would highly recommend him.

After a couple years of dealing with roofing problems I finally decided to call a professional to check it out. Roofing specialist were quick to come to my home and give a quote (big plus). Although the price was a little more then I expected, I can’t argue with the results.
Above all else, it feels great going to sleep knowing my homes roof is in prime condition!
