I used to love Regne until things started changing. I think it’s pretty ridiculous that you have to pay $ 15 extra for a curl or straightener. I thought it was $ 35 regardless of what style. I used to go there because they opened early and now some days they don’t. Lindsay was also amazing and she’s not there anymore. I hope they go back their ways or else I will no longer support the business and recommend this place any longer.

I love Régne, they have the most professional, friendliest, and welcoming staff.
The set up is amazing and elegant. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with the sweetest ladies. I have only been a few times but I know I will be going a lot more, and only to Régne for my blow outs!
I made an appointment (conveniently online) last month. I knew I was going to an event that required me to be out late and outdoors. Many attempts with styling my dead & dry hair, the frizz always wins by the end of the night.
Lacey greeted me and asked me what style I was going for before we went to get washed. In the washing process, she gives great scalp massages! So relaxing!
I told Lacey I was going for a simple blowout with volume, and she nailed it! My hair was silky, flowy and full. I left extremely content!
That night I was outdoors until 2am. At the end of the night, we took group photos. To my surprise my hair remained smooth, soft and frizz free! That’s when I knew I would be going regularly to see Lacey for blow outs!
Yesterday I went in again and she remembered what I had done the last time and asked me how the event went before I had a chance to let her know the good news. It amazed how she remembered the details, very sweet girl! Can’t wait to go back!

I am a fairly regular Regne customer and I have always loved going there, but after my most recent experience I am not going there again – and I say this regretfully. In the past I have had nothing but good experiences (particularly with Lindsay or Lisa – they are both wonderful), but I have to say that I have very disappointed with the way they handled my situation there yesterday.
I went in two days ago for a blowout, which is the service that I always get at Regne. I am used to going there, getting a blowout, and always loving it. I have extremely curly hair and they have always done an amazing job there – they get it so straight and smooth. This time, however, the girl who did my hair took OVER an hour and a half (usually my appointments at Regne take 40 mins) and my hair looked, honestly, horrible. I could do a better job at home, but the whole point of going in is to have that Regne experience and have an amazing blowout that lasts for several days. My hair was huge, extremely curly at the roots, and blowed out in a way that pretty much looked like I had been riding around in a convertible with the top down all day. It was greasy and just awful. The girl who did my hair even made comments on how it looked, but I couldn’t wait any longer for her to fix it because I was already going to be late to my meeting that day because she took so long. Even my friends at dinner that night made comments on how bad it looked. Two hours after she did it, it was completely curly at the roots and looked fried at the ends. It really looked awful.
Blowouts are expensive and I don’t agree with paying for something that is well below the standard I have been used to getting at Regne. I did «check in» on Unilocal to get the discounted blowout ($ 22 instead of $ 35), but the blowout wasn’t worth a dollar. I had to redo the entire thing. I thought about it and decided the very next morning to call Regne and tell them I was unhappy and ask them to redo it. They were reluctant! After some conversation they finally allowed me to get it redone at the discounted price of $ 22. I was honestly offended that they didn’t offer to redo it for free, since it was so horrible and such a waste of money and I shouldn’t have had to even go back in for a service that should have been up to Regne standards. Not to mention the time I had to take to get it redone, pay for parking, etc.
They booked me with a different girl – Lisa – who is amazing and a totally wonderful person. No complaints there, and she did a great job – she delivered what I am accustomed to getting at Regne and what I am happy to pay for at Regne.
Additionally, they have a new policy (apparently just recently put into effect) that no one told me about. They now charge FIFTEEN dollars to use hot tools – even if its just passing through some roots that are still curly and weren’t straightened enough by the blowout. If I had known in advance, that would be one thing. But I have never paid $ 15 at Regne for a few passes of the hot iron, nor would I ever pay that much anywhere else. If it had been full price, it would have been $ 50 for a blowout. That is ridiculous. DryBar has never charged me for using a flat iron on my roots, but also DryBar seems to do a much better job at getting the hair straight withOUT having to pass a flat iron through it.
So, in short, I got a horrible blowout that was below any standards. That was $ 22 because of a promotion. Then I had to go back in the next day and get it redone, which they *reluctantly* allowed for ANOTHER $ 22 (why should I repay for something that should have been right the first time?). Then they charged $ 15 to pass the iron through my hair a few times at the roots, which they didn’t tell me about until after. So after everything it was a $ 59 experience (without tip – it was $ 74 ALTOGETHER with tip) for a horrible blowout, more of my time, when it should have been a $ 22 – 30 experience in the first place if it hadn’t gone so terribly the day before.
Although Lisa was wonderful and I have typically loved my experiences, I still will not be going back.

My experience here with Janice was amazing. My hair seems uncomplicated when you first look at it, but it’s got multiple textures and doesn’t follow normal texture rules (i.e. My hair gets straighter as you cut it shorter instead of curlier)
First off I loved that I was able to book an appointment online.
I was able to get a last minute appointment with no problem, and as I generally don’t know my schedule til that day was great for me.
It’s an upscale environment but I didn’t feel out of place or uncomfortable being there kinda sweaty after a long work day and dressed very casually.
I was welcomed, offered beverages, and treated great.
And now comes the hair.
I showed Janice a few pictures of my hair that I really liked that were totally different and totally different from my current length.
She was a little surprised when we took out my bun and my hair was only shoulder length and saw the mass of mane that I deal with.
She then was easily and almost instantly able to visualize the perfect undercut that still allowed me to maintain length, a certain amount of professionalism when needed, and make me feel epically bad ass.
She worked it so my center bangs were more shifted to the side to work with the cut and blended well which can be tricky with bangs that are not super long.
The cut works perfectly with my texture and enhances my waves instead of working against them.
Perfect for my roll out of bed, run my fingers through my hair daily maintenance.
I also felt like my face and my facial features were instantly enhanced.
Because of my crazy schedule I usually have problems staying true to a stylist, but I’ll definitely be back to see Janice.

Ruby was amazing. Did I tell you about the time that I got my hair ruined by an inexperienced stylist and then had to go get it fixed and an overpriced salon where the stylist didn’t listen to me when I told him I wanted wash and go hair and that I travel a lot and needed low maintenance hair. He was a hair snob and thought I should blow dry my hair everyday. I’m like no way. Or the time before that when I went to another overpriced salon in Los Angeles only for the stylist to barely cut my hair and give me a subpar «trendy» style which she called a «beach» wave. Literally she spent 20 minutes on my hair and insisted it looked good. No way. Ruby is just the total opposite. She listens to what you want and she’s a perfectionist in her hair cutting. She delivers great results and she’s nice. She fixed my horribly damaged hair and gave me exactly what I wanted. She’s awesome. After visiting a lot of overrated salons I’m so happy I found her!!! If you want excellent hair that fits your lifestyle and a no-​nonsense and down to earth stylist who will actually listen to you and deliver results, go see Ruby. :-)

Such a cute hair salon! The salon itself is very cute and well designed.
The staff is very friendly and offer you a beverage while waiting or getting your service done. Water, juices, ect. even champagne!
I have had my hair done by Lindsay and Nicole and they are both great! I have came in both times not knowing exactly what I want done and they both have managed to help figure it out with me! Lindsay gave me a big change recently! –I cut off my ling hair I have kept for so long and did a shoulder length cut! She gave me the salon iPad and had me look through hair cuts, and Nicole across the way was nice enough to give me feedback and help choose a style along with Lindsay! They are so nice and helpful.
They both do good hair cuts as well as blow outs! For my short hair cut, Lindsay out some volume powder in my hair! It was great, they sell it at the salon so I bought it as well.

The training that each stylist goes through is very evident in the quality of their finished work. That being said, my absolute favorite stylist is Lacey. She does «pretty» hair that has you leaving the salon feeling confident and well put-​together.
Lacey will explain a new style or suggest something different than your usual service, in case you’re heading out for the night. I really enjoy the ease of leaving without doubts about my hair.
By the way, if you haven’t been here lately, they have added some full-​services, for instance hair colorist Nicole is doing some amazing things with color. I’ve gone from a 3 to a 6 – 7 shade with ZERO damage to my hair. The only «downside» to be experience is bat they charge for a blow-​dry after color, that makes the service more expensive than I would like, since most salons include he style with a pricier color.

Going to Regne was the best decision I ever made. They went over and BEYOND to accommodate my last minute booking which was a party of five (which turned into a party of six). I called and Julie tried to fit us all in, which was hard because I had a Quinceanera for my little sister on May 30^th and we had a schedule to keep to. Everyone was happy with what they got, from my mother to the birthday girl, to my 17 year old sister who had her hair done at different dry bar for her Quinceanera which didn’t hold up well. That was not the case here. Everyone’s hair made it the entire day, in the heat, through all the pictures, and the dancing, it was perfect! Oh and the makeup was FLAWLESS. Thank you so much Nichole, you made my sister’s day from the trial to the day of, I really appreciate it. Lyndsey and everyone else who worked on us, you guys truly were AMAZING, thank you SO MUCH!!!

I tried a few different hair salons & blow out bars in Pasadena before I tried Règne. I won’t go anywhere else now!
I like Règne for a number of reasons:
1.They offer online booking, this is super convenient because you can match your schedule up to a stylists easily. They send a confirmation e-​mail, and call the day before your appointment to make sure everything is set.
2.The interior is so cute, I always enjoy walking in
3.Their prices are slightly less than some of the other places nearby, but their quality is much better!
4.Everyone who works there is friendly, professional and talented. I recommend Nichole, who I have seen for a few blow drys and gotten the brazilian blowout from her. Nichole is friendly, and always does a great job on my hair. I am never disappointed leaving the salon.
I haven’t tried their makeup services yet, but hope to soon! Thanks for being a great asset to the Pasadena community.

Michelle & Ashley_​Color!!! I went Platinum blond. a terrifying process. My hair has never felt healthier… Olaplex! love you. The first pass was rough (getting the multiple layers of old color out) but they did not give up on me. Now, I realize what true skill is required to get you into that perfect color. I’m so happy!
Melanie_​Waxing. I never, never break out. I can’t say that is the case anywhere else.

I booked a last minute appointment for a wedding I was going to same day on Saturday online which I love since it’s super easy and hassle free. I just didn’t feel like doing my own hair and decided to pamper myself a little. For $ 35 you get a welcome beverage, hair wash/​scalp massage, blow/​style. The scalp massage was relaxing and I wanted to take a nap right then and there. I asked for nice soft waves and my stylist asked me about my hair and how well it holds a curl then proceeded.
My hair needs good product and tools to hold a curl and I can tell you my hair stayed looking good all night and even till the next day. I have 3^rd day hair right now and the style just needed a slight refresh with a curling iron this morning and my hair is still holding up now at 5pm. My hair doesn’t look any more damaged than I came in with and I just bleached my hair 2 weeks ago after previously bleaching and its a bit dry from my at home ombré adventures.
I think this is one of the few places I’ll get a blow out at (I HATE drybar, they burnt my hair and scalp!) and can be used if my other place I like has no appointments and vice versa. Affordable luxury, great hair!

Love these ladies! Need a quick blow out? They can do that. An up-​do for an event? They can do that too! Eyebrows? Makeup? Yes, they can do that too!
I have been coming here since they opened a couple years ago and I will not go anywhere else for a blowout in Pasadena. Their prices are on par with the other blowout shops ($ 35) but I feel like you get a much classier experience. The work stations are clean and organized with product and tools kept in drawers. The floor is always swept. The décor is classy and understated.
My favorite part about coming to Regne is the product they use. The shampoo they use smells divine and my hair ALWAYS feels so soft and smooth after my blowout. They also will sometimes treat you with a mini scalp massage during conditioning– super awesome! I have super thick hair and they always take the time to blow it out in small sections to make sure it is even and smooth. Lindsay, Nichole, Natalie, Ivonne, and all the other girls do great work!
On a side note, we held the first part of my bachelorette party here (yes, they do parties all the time) and it was amazing! They let us bring in food and drinks so we could mingle and enjoy ourselves while getting our hair done! We had a great time!

I hate to give them a 1-​star review but I just feel that I have to since I walked in for a fishtail braid and ended up walking out with a $ 70 bill (and I had to add gratuity). I didn’t even get a shampoo or blow dry to go with my service! Even at the John Barrett Salon in Bergdorf’s in NYC only charges $ 50 for a braid.
They said that it was more of an up-​do which I can kind of see but if that was the case, I feel as though they should have told me. Honestly, I’d have no problem ponying up the cash if I knew what to expect at the register but the bait-​and-​switch gimmick left a bad taste in my mouth. All they had to say was, «I know you said wanted a braid which is $ 10 but what you’re asking for is more of a „High and Dry“ which is $ 70. Is that cool with you?» Then I say yes and we go along our merry way.
I will say that the girl that did my hair was awesome, sweet and accommodating. She did do a fantastic job and worked quickly.
Would I go back? Only if Drybar and Blo-​Out Lounge close.

I found Regne Salon on Unilocal while doing a search for a hair styling salon. We were in town for a wedding I wanted my hair to look great and am not good at doing it myself.
I got an appointment the next day at a time that worked perfectly for me. I saw Natalie — she was a total sweetie pie! I loved the décor and the ambianceof the salon. Had I known they do make up, I would have scheduled a make up appointment as well!
Natalie did a fabulous job blow drying my shoulder length, naturally wavy hair — I got so many compliments on it. What Natalie also did was to part my hair a little lower than how I usually part it — and it looked so much better! It gave my face a different shape and look — I really was amazed how different just that little bit made! I wish this place was in my neighborhood — i would be a regular!
