This place is absolutely AMAZING !!! They’re reasonably priced, fast and they hex hint EXCELLENT customer service. Ray and his staff really know they’re stuff when it comes to Mercedes. I overpaid pre for breaks at Pepboys charging an insane almost $ 800 for what I found out we’re after market breaks, Ray’s charged me $ 200 to put on the actual DEALERSHIP breaks !
If you have a Mercedes no matter how old Ray’s is the place to go !

Ray is very knowledgeable and will continue to be a place for me to get all work done on my Mercedes. He’s out there to legitimately help out customers and attempts to keep costs as low as possible. My car broke down while taking it to his shop. I called him and he knew exactly what was wrong. He is very patient and trustworthy. Would recommend to all Mercedes owners.

I have a 9 year old CLS 500 which I took to Ray a couple times. Great customer service and he quickly and cost efficiently took care of the problem. So I echo the many great reviews you will find here.

Ray knew what was wrong with my car in about a minute (if that long — I kid you not) BOTH TIMES I had an issue!!! I am thrilled to have such a great mechanic so close by. Fast, reasonable, no-​nonsense, done on-​time or early. He under-​promises, over-​delivers. I’ve never been to anyone better.

asked ray to do a service based on my own diagnosis. for a rattling noise on my car door. even though it did not solve the problem, he was very nice and did the work as i requested. this is customer service at its best. he is a nice guy that is very good with receiving the customers concerns and putting it to work quickly. hence you should feel good with any service you get here, and may even have fun in the process.

Wow!!! I just moved to Pasadena and needed a reputable auto repair shop for my MBZ. I was referred to Ray’s and am thrilled with their wonderful customer service, exceptional rates and availability. Very prompt and knowledgeable and affordable. It’s been a relief to find a great repair facility that has exceeded all of my expectations!

It is so rare these days to find an honest, quality mechanic. Without a doubt Ray is both of those. I don’t think twice about bringing in my car or my wife’s car for any type of service. I know I will get quality work done at a reasonable price. I live almost an hour away from the shop and still bring my Mercedes to Ray. He is now the only mechanic I trust with my vehicles.

I had a great experience with a Service B done today. The service was fast with a great price, plus a car wash and ride to/​back from my work place in Pasadena. Ray and Juan are great, and I’ll definitely come back for my wife’s car.

Ray is honest, fair, accommodating and a seasoned Mercedes expert. I’ve taken my 2007 Mercedes Benz to Ray for years and he’s the only mechanic who I completely trust with my car.

For the first time based on a friend recommendation I took my car to Rays MBZ for an oil change and 10k check up. When I called to make an appointment I told him I need it to be done today because I’m leaving town tomorrow. He did his best to finish it today. One thing I really like about him he was very honest in the very beginning gave me an estimate and showed me what’s needs to be done and how much. When I picked up my car he charged me what we agreed on and he gave me replaced old parts. Wow how nice of him Well any way I’m one happy customer and I’ll be back soon and I’ll recommend him to my friends with peace of mind. Thank you Ray.

Ray is very reasonable and professional. I got a simple service at 40k miles on my 2011 MB. Dropped in and had it done in the promised time. Gave me a great price too. I’m pretty happy!

I would highly recommend this place. I’ve been here a few times and from what interaction I’ve had I’ve found ray to be honest, courteous and fair. I showed up today to get my car diagnosed and he told me what the issue was and was up front and said it probably wouldn’t be worth it to fix the sensor. He didn’t charge me for taking the time to diagnose it. Mbz dealership wanted to charge me $ 160. I would come back again for any repairs.

Okay so I had my Benz ‘service A’ done here earlier this month. Previously done at the Rusnak dealership. Ray was thorough and honest. He explained what was needed to be done. No up sells. The car wash was nice, better than the dealership actually. I asked him about the brakes as the dealership wanted to replace them. He checked, still had 40% of the brake pads, no need to change at this time, the dash will alert you when it needs change. Price was reasonably less than the dealership.
Someone else mentioned that Ray doesn’t give an itemization of what was done (unlike the dealership). This is true, but I really don’t mind, he’s just very laid back and I think that’s how he works.
What compelled me to write this review was when my license plate lights went out a few weeks later. The dash kept telling me to get it checked. I looked at YouTube to see how it’s done. It’s not hard but it did involve removing a bunch of trim pieces that I would rather not get into… All that work for a small lightbulb (gotta love those German engineers). The guy on the video was all sweaty after removing the trim. It prolly would have taken me a good hour. I went by Ray’s before work and asked him to fix it. 5 minutes later he replaced the bulbs. When I asked him how much he said «don’t worry about it, it’s just a couple of bulbs.» I was surprised bc the dealership and most other mechanics would charge something for this. It’s very hard to find a good honest mechanic these days. I’m glad to have found Ray’s MBZ on Unilocal.I would recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent and honest Benz mechanic.

I’m so glad I found this place! Brought my dad’s car here for routine maintenance and other issues, Ray was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He didn’t beat around the bush or try to sell me on anything more than what I needed. Unlike other independent shops, Ray truly cares about his clients and their vehicles. I highly recommend him :)

Ray is awesome. I was in an accident last November. After repairs at the body shop, there was still a loud knocking, shaking and rumbling coming from the engine of my car. I took my car back to the body shop and they could not find any problem. I then took it to the Rusnak Mercedes service department and they could not find it either. Desperate, I actually had to record the knocking and rumbling and play it back for them to help identify the problem. I returned my car and they ended up changing the motor mounts but that did not fix the problem. Again I took it back to the body shop and they could not find the problem even thought they admitted that something was wrong.
Finally, I took my car to Ray. He checked it out and was able to immediately isolate the problem — a busted transmission mount. How is it that Rusnak’s service department had my car so long and could not figure this out? Anyway, Ray took care of it right away and for a great price. All the knocking, shaking and rumbling is gone and I could not be happier.
We have since had two of our cars serviced at Ray’s MBZ and won’t take them anywhere else.

I been looking on Unilocal for quite some time now for a honest reliable Mercedes mechanic. After doing some research I find ray :)) I initially went in to replace my reverse lights since they went out recently … I pull up to the shop and I’m greeted by this lovely man :)) very nice !!! He got right in the trunk and replaced the light bulbs with no issue. He then checked out under the hood and saw a couple of minor things that he fixed on the spot for me. He’s very funny and fun to talk to. Very honest man! I was very very happy I found him! I asked him how much I owe him and he said nothing… Wow … IM DEF COMING BACK TO SERVICE MY BENZ HERE!!! Def recommend him. Got his business and looking forward to bringing my baby Benz here !!! MUS GO TO MECHANIC FOR THE BENZ! :)))

My 2009 Mercedes E350 4Matic needed service, brakes, and rear rotors done. Like others I’m very skeptical of shady mechanics and was very hesitant to take to dealer because I would not be able to take financial hit that they would get me with. So what did I do??? Opened up my handy dandy Unilocal app on my iPhone and after a few minutes of speed reading and research calling 2 other shops I was on my way to Rays.
Just as advertised this guys shop is on point! I seen several Mercedes Tech certificates which let’s me the consumer know that this guy knows what he is doing when it comes to getting work done on my European vehicle. Ray gave me a hassle free quote and I did not feel I was getting haggled by the used car sales man type. I knew the ball park figuere all the work was gonna run me and let me tell you that I felt I was getting a deal.
After agreeing to begin work I asked for a ride and not only was I shocked by what happened next but to me it speaks volumes about going above and beyond to make sure a customer leaves satisfied– Ray offered to get me a rental for the day. That was pretty cool and something that you only come to expect from the dealer. I politely declined and explained that I owned a second vehicle at home I could drive. Ray then had his shop assistant Javier give me a ride home.
Work was completed on time when promised and Ray even had my car washed at car wash next door. So not only is my car driving smooth but it also looks good (Atleast for the next day or 2!) To summarize I appreciate his customer service and love that was showed to my car. In the future ill definately be back when it comes time to get work done on my Benz. Thank you Ray!

Ray was the gentleman that took care of my car and I.
I went in for a wheel bearing and hub replacement for my front tires.
Pricy job, anywhere I looked. I had many options, as there are hundreds of repair
shops in Pasadena. However, the reason I chose Ray’s MBZ, was due to their
professionalism, cleanliness, and their 20+ years of being a MB Certified Tech
after checking out their reviews, I was even more convinced that Ray’s MBZ was the perfect choice for me.
