Dr. McAndrews is a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in Hair Restoration. Dr. McAndrews and his very experienced staff perform only one hair transplant a day. Dr. McAndrews’s undivided attention on the day of the hair transplant belongs to that patient and that patient alone, because we realize this is one of the most important commitments a patient will ever make about his or her appearance.



Because he has always been a patients’ advocate, Dr. McAndrews spends considerable time educating his patients before a decision to proceed with any procedure is made. When a patient is not a candidate for a surgical approach, he explains why a hair transplant may not be the best solution for the patient. As a board certified cosmetic dermatologist, Dr McAndrews performs Botox, Fillers, Chemical Peels, Tumescent Liposuction and Sclerotherapy. History

Established in 1993.

Dr. Paul McAndrews was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, a National Medical Honor Society for the top 15% of medical students in the nation, and earned his medical degree from USC School of Medicine, where he was awarded as a Dean’s Scholar every year. He performed his Dermatology Residency at the renowned USC/​LAC Medical Center, and was honored as Chief Resident. He was later mentored by and partnered with pioneers in hair restoration. Now a professor, consultant and national authority for pharmaceutical companies, he has also been featured on programs such as ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and VH1 Rock Bodies on hair loss and restoration procedures. Also, featured on The Doctors as guest expert on hair loss.

The worst doctor i have ever been to. He took approximately 2 minutes to hear my problem. The nurse confirms that you may only ask one question of the doctor before you see him. I have never heard of such a thing. When you see a dr. you bring your list relating to their specialty. He is burning the insurance companies badly. Do not recommend, was actually quite shell shocked by the whole experience.

Absolutely amazing! I have a really brutal and unpredictable schedule so they went above and beyond my expectations and booked my procedure for 5am on a SUNDAY morning! The staff was amazing, everything was explained in great detail to me in advance and during the surgery.
He came highly recommended to me from close associates and will be my ‘go to’ doctor (in this field) from now on.

I had been to Dr. McAndrews multiple times for hair restoration and I have to say that it is the best surgery I have ever had. I have had so many compliments over the years and people stating they never would have known I had anything done if I had not told them. I am extremely happy with the results even years later and wish all doctors did as good of a job as he did. I highly recommend him for hair restoration.

Jessica in the front office is completely awesome and easily five stars, but sadly the good doctor is gruff, impatient, and arrogant. He definitely needs to overhaul his bedside manner and therefore gets one star.

He saved my skin in just 3 months. I waited to write a review to see if my skin would act up again. And nope nothing. Nothing worked for me and my breakouts were horrendous. They would hand out on my face for months. I found him on Google, took a chance and omg I feel comfortable wearing no makeup now. I wanna cry. Once I found out they take insurance I cried again lol. He’s the best without spending thousands.

Referred by Dr. Rosenzweig in Encino, Dr. McAndrews was excellent. He spent over 30 minutes explaining my options, and more importantly, giving me factual information about my concerns allowing me to make an intelligent decision on how I would like to proceed with treatment. I was naturally a little nervous/​shy going into a new office, but felt extremely welcome by both receptionists and the doctor. The office is a relaxing place to be and I left feeling confident about my treatment.

I am also in the medical field. I went to Dr McAndrews after I got stitches after cutting myself while cooking, because I thought the wound seemed infected. My primary care doctor did not think so and wanted to wait and see. Taking matters into my own hands, I went to a specialist (dermatologist) to see what he thought. I found Dr McAndrews on
which I thought was convenient because you could view and schedule appointments online.
Dr McAndrews saw me for all of 5 minutes. He did not listen closely to how the wound came about and the time frame and why I was concerned (the redness started AFTER the stitches were removed). Instead he had already decided within a few moments and a quick glance that it was just an inflammatory healing process and promptly injected me with steroid into the lesion before I even had much time to object.
A few months later, after going to an infectious disease specialist and another dermatologist who performed the correct diagnostic tests, I am finally diagnosed with a Mycobacterium (slow growing bacteria) wound infection. Dr McAndrews really should have taken more time to consider all the differential diagnosis. For those of you not in the medical field, it is well known that steroids can worsen an infection, which in this case it surely did.

not very helpful. i am a medical professional, and this clinic did very little to investigate my pathology. my first visit (most likely my last) lasted not more than 3 minutes with the doctor and 10 minutes in total. i had booked my appointment to have a cyst removed from my earlobe, and the doctor came in, touched my ear, agreed it was a cyst, and then assumed i would be enthusiastic about booking another appointment to let this guy put a knife near me. i dont understand why we couldnt get the procedure done the same day, or at least take a swab to see if there is an infection of any kind, or an acne perscription, or ANYTHING!!! my copay was $ 50 and im convinced i just flushed my money down the toilet. doctors need to realize they are treating people, not doing oil changes. i thought they would at least have a good sense of ethics and concern, but the assistant actually had a very condescending tone when speaking with me, and told me essentially if i dont like the service, to get another appointment at another clinic. thanks for nothing doctor buttface

He explained the procedure and it was immediately taken care of. I will continue to visit Dr. McAndrews and will have every reason to recommend him to others! Office staff is wonderful as well, with scheduling for those with busy schedules and accommodating every need. Excellent!

I’ve been going to Dr. M for a few years. Very good dermatologist. I like that he’s friendly but matter of fact and very thorough. All in all a great choice. He has offices in Pas as well as Beverly Hills. I go for skin checks but he also does plastic surgery as well. His office staff is great.
