Villa Parke Community Branch is located on the 2nd floor of the Villa Parke Community Center, where it houses children and adult Spanish books and English. With access to free Wi-Fi and you also have access to 13 computers with full internet as well. Storytimes on Tuesdays 10:30am and Family Fun Movies on Thursdays at 3pm. Also on Mondays we have a computer basics class for seniors at 2pm
History
Established in 1992.
July 12 1992 during the biggest rainstorm Pasadena has ever seen. Villa Parke opened its doors to a small Reading Room filled with paperbacks in English and Spanish.
In 1998, the facility opened full-time.
with its Reading Room housing 3 computer internet computers, one AWE for enriching learning for kids, and limited access computer to type up reports.
Our adjoining room has been converted to a Computer Lab with Ten computers. Where Spanish and English seniors are now learning computer skills on Monday’s at 2pm.
School children and adults use the computer lab everyday from 3 – 5 to find jobs, or to look up research.
