Messerian Oriental Rugs

Messerian did a wonderful job cleaning my Moroccan rug. Initially we were worried about the vibrant colors of the dyes running during the wash. They took extra time and care to ensure that this did not happen. Their skill and knowledge is evident in their work, and their fees are extremely reasonable. I would recommend Messerian Oriental Rugs to anyone who’s planning on purchasing a rug or needs one cleaned.

The only con is parking. You have to park on the street. Unless there is a parking lot I am not aware of.

The problem I have had in the past with oriental rug cleaning is that the rugs come back with weird smells. They look clean, and smell awful. Not helpful. In one case I couldn’t use the rug for several months. I recently took an oriental rug to Messerian and it came back very clean and smelling like, well, a wool rug. Pricing seemed reasonable too. Very nice work.

Harry is the best. He knows so much about rugs and is very easy going. I have a very old rug that three generations of our family grew up on – and it showed! I thought the rug was a lost cause but Harry and his team were able to repair it in an economical way. The rug is now back in action thanks to Messerian rugs! I would definitely consult Harry if I were purchasing another rug.

If you need a place to clean your most valuable rugs this is the place to go. Harry is so helpful and gives you a detail explanation on the cleaning process. I was very sadden thinking my favorite rug was ruined since my doggie decided to pee on it. I took it to Harry and not only did he do an amazing job cleaning it, also took the nasty smell away and my doggie no does her business on it.

Since moving to Pasadena 5 years ago I have had my rugs cleaned and repaired at Messerian Oriental Rugs exclusively. Their work is impeccable and their prices fair. And even more important to me (since many places do a good job) is the unparalleled service I receive every time. Someone always comes to the curb without being asked to help unload the rugs — same for pick-​up. Harry is kind and considerate and it’s worth the trip just to interact with him — I always leave in a better mood. He even allows my 8-​year-​old twin grandsons to play in the store and tirelessly answers questions (theirs and mine:) The grandsons even ask when we can go back to the «Rug Man»!There is no better place to care for your rugs in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.

Harry from Messerian Rugs and his staff are truly the best. My fiancé and I were moving into a new home and were considering ordering a rug online, until we were driving on Colorado blvd. and saw Messerian so decided to stop in. We were so glad we did. Harry was very helpful with helping us to choose some options for our new living room and along with his staff, laid out various options of rugs for us to see (looked like a lot of manual labor even to do that) until we chose a few that we liked best. We set up an appointment time then for him and his employees to meet us at our new home and they showed us all of our favorite options one at a time, until we chose the rug that was best for that room. Harry also chipped in and gave us advice on some of the color scheming with the rugs and some couches that we had specially designed for the room (which helped us greatly in deciding on our final rug). Harry was extremely knowledgeable, kind, helpful and his rugs are gorgeous and very-​high quality (and I am picky, so would not say this for everyone). For the quality we were getting, the price was reasonable as well. A win all around!
The next time we need a rug, we will definitely be calling Messerian Oriental Rugs!

Harry Messerian is an artist! He knows what rug will work in your home before you can figure it out for yourslelf. He is extremely knowledgeable, honest, fair, and reliable. Messarian Oriental Rugs has done a wonderful job cleaning many of our imported carpets. Flat weave, Kilim, pile, Harry does a great job repairing old rugs at a reasonable price, as well. His selection of rugs for sale is like stepping into The Grand Bazaar! You won’t be disappointed.

I am extremely happy with my experience at Messerian rugs. I am young and my Grandmother, who is 90, has collected rugs her whole life. She gifted me a handmade Hamadan rug that she bought almost 70 years ago in Germany. I immediately became hooked on Oriental Rugs after that. I am enamored by them and plan to continue to collect them for the rest of my life.
That said, I picked up a second rug that is from Istanbul. It’s 2′ x 3′, in pristine condition and made of silk. It’s worth a lot of money and I want to hang it on my wall. I’m not willing to walk all over such a beautiful piece of art. I had no idea how to go about hanging the rug on my wall, because the last thing I want to do is damage it with a hanging device.
So I came to Unilocal and found Messerian rugs. When I entered, the owner Harry was attentive and asked me how he could help. I explained my situation and he recommended that a piece of material be sewn across the back of it, so I can use a rod to hang it later. I was a little nervous because I was afraid there would be damage to my rug, but since Harry was obviously an expert, I took his recommendation.
One week later I picked up my rug and the piece on the back not only works perfectly, but it actually looks nice. I know nobody will see it, since it will be on the back of the rug while it’s hanging, but for some reason it actually looks pretty. The color of it even matches the rug.

I just used Messerian to have my rugs cleaned. I chose them based on reviews on Unilocal.Harry was very courteous on phone, gave me an estimate on 2 8×10 rugs & a runner. His crew arrived when promised, Harry called me after rugs arrived in his shop and confirmed the price. Rugs came back when promised. The rugs were dirty, dusty, and long overdue for cleaning. Harry and his crew worked their magic and they are now clean and the colors are vibrant again. Thank you Harry for an outstanding job. Totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

Messerian REALLY knows rugs! They picked up my two oriental rugs that were dusty, dirty and damaged by spills & pets and years of use. Yesterday they returned two pristine, clean rugs that have been carefully cleaned and restored to lustrous, beautiful condition. The initial estimate was reasonable and accurate so there were no surprises when I got the bill. The crew returning the rugs was professional and they were diligent in ensuring my satisfaction with the results of Messerian’s expert restoration and the placement of each rug in my home. As an added service I requested mats for each rug which Messerian made at nominal cost to go either on top of carpet or hardwood floors. Additionally they kept me updated on when to expect completion, the day before delivery, and when delivery is on its way. I am completely delighted with Messerian for quality, service and pricing.

I recently got my rug cleaned from here and absolutely love the results! I spilled wine on my rug and immediately dropped off to get it cleaned. It took them so much effort to get it off as wine is one of the most difficult stains to remove. But when I went there to pick it up, I couldn’t even see where the stain was! The stain was 100% removed. They were very professional and service was amazing!
