Always a pleasure to get my caffeine boost here, the staff is always friendly and always offer the best recommendations, on top of having a great brew!!!

I loved frequenting Massetti, as a higher quality alternative to near by Corner Bakery, the little café ran by the building, Starbucks, etc. In fact, they serve some of the best Espresso I’ve ever had.
Friday May, 13^th, the Barista refused to sell me a double shot to go, as he didn’t want his prestigious work being subjected to a paper cup, and my only option was to hover around their stand drinking out of a little ceramic espresso cup.
I’ve had it sold that way to me in a to go cup, and couldn’t believe they were turning away my business like this.

Great coffee, great location. I’m a regular here when I’m in town and have client meetings close by. This isn’t the cheapest coffee in town but it’s some of the best I’ve had, made with care and served by a friendly older man that has been here for a long time. Highly recommended, especially if you have some time to sit in the plaza and enjoy. If you are a bitter mocha fan, have him make you mocha with half chocolate.

I so so so wanted to try this place out. I’ve been to Italy (3x), I’ve experienced «real» Italian bars, and this place got excellent reviews.
Unfortunately my day started before they opened. But I was able to convince my co-​workers to stop here prior to dinner last Thursday at around 5p ish. We had limited time.
First, the young barista was chatting with some other dude. Took him a minute or so to see we were there. Then credit card system wasn’t quite working. He took our orders. We waited then realized — gee the whole espresso machine wasn’t working. We also didn’t see any food out — was it hidden? Do you just cook to order? Unclear.
I don’t like writing 1 star reviews for something I never got to purchase and we were never charged. But when the customer experience is just THAT BAD, I’ll vent. Please do a better job with your customer service. This is an EPIC FAIL on your part.

Very strong iced coffee aka cold brew. It is pricey at $ 5 but I knew what I was getting into because there are price signs everywhere. Plenty of places to sit but not a place to visit if it ever rains in LA as it is a virtually a coffee stand next to Souplantation with no cover.

We had a great experience here. The macchiato was one of the best I’ve had in 30 yrs of drinking espresso. The owner and his son couldn’t have been more personable and willing to share their story. We sat and talked about coffee and Italy for 20 minutes before heading back to AZ. I foresee a 5lb bag of their beans in my future.

I visited this place few times because it’s so close to my work and I tried to check their coffee because of all that positive reviews, but my review is mainly about the price, every time I order same thing and they charge me different price, I paid 5 $ for regular coffee medium size one shot ! And last time I paid 2.75 for the same cup !!! Plus the 0.25 cent they over charge for any credit use !!!
So if u wanna get coffee from this place just keep in mind that you may get over charged, however, if u don’t mind paying different price for the same coffee and up to 5 $ for regular cup of coffee then ignore my review !!!

Great staff! big reason why i gave them a 5 star rating. The espresso was good, maybe not the bet, but it was good. I liked the cold brew. That would be the reason why i’d go back there. I mean i’ll try other things, but that one was the best.

After reading reviews I was excited to try the espresso. I didn’t order food or anything but maybe I should have.
Anyway, the espresso was not good. I was a little hesitant when they handed out to me since the crema looked a little pale. Sure enough it was really sour but drinkable at least (thus 2 instead of 1 star). That could be due to a number of things, which may include dirty equipment (rancid bean oil on grinder for example), old beans, and of course, a bad pull.

Starting working close by here a couple of months ago and I simply adore this place! The staff is great and knowledgeable and the coffee is simple and pure. I’m completely spoiled and can’t go anywhere else without comparing it to here! I love the pastries, cornettos (Italian croissant) are my new passion.
If you are a coffee person always in search of a great cup of coffee this is really a great place to try.

Live across a street and my morning starts with Massetti. Closer get to them than to Coffee machine in my kitchen. Usually take decaf Americano, they bring this sort from Jones… No wonder very similar to Jones taste.
Downsides — Expensive (more expensive than Jones), second, once you hooked you can’t get back to anything else. Addicted.

Wait Wait Wait… There is nothing special about this coffee cart, for real! Five stars? nnnnnnaw! I get that people on here are very fascinated by the concept of coffee from a cart… that is outdoors… lol… But there isn’t anything special about the food or the coffee. I hate to admit it because I’m not interested in supporting a faceless chain but the Starbucks in the Pasadena area all have that really expensive «Clover» coffee machine and that thing brews amazing coffee! The Clover machine deserves ten stars, what’s its Unilocal URL???

Great coffee and very nice service. Sandwiches taste delicious and the little pasta salad is surprisingly good. My only wish was that they had bigger portion options, or bigger sandwiches. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it!

Excellent people, excellent coffee.
I walk by this place daily due to work and did not want to try it for the longest time; I was afraid I’d like it! And now I come everyday twice a day.
My favorite is always the cold brew. Sprinkle a little organic sugar and some half/​half and you’re good to go.
They’ll be opening a location in downtown LA so be on the lookout in the next few months.

Authentic Italian coffee place owned by an actual Italian family! Owner was super friendly, and made my drink to perfection! Their Italian sodas are amazing as well. They brew from authentic fresh coffee beans, LOVE!
I live about 13 miles away, so worth it!

I was just walking by and it looked so good! I ordered an Americano and Steve, the owner, was very friendly and competent on coffee and the coffee was AMAZING! He gets his beans locally and is a blend of coffees.
Now that the weather is getting chilly, bring a jacket and try it!

They serve the BEST latté in So Cal/​LA period and could easily rival the ones I’ve had in Europe. I still need to try their other selections but so far I have had the regular and Nutella latté. Mmm multo bene!
Robin, the bartender, is also extra sweet and very helpful. She gives you a personalized service that you would get in a small town US (not LA). Lucky to have this right in my backyard.

Perfection in a cup. The genesis of this coffee stand, as I have been told, is that the owner/​operator simply wasn’t happy with the espresso that many of Pasadena’s best coffee purveyors had to offer… so he decided to open up his own stand. Respect.
Upon first sip and smell of an americano here, I’m taken back to all of the best coffee drinks I have ever consumed in my entire life… Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, overseas, or by convergent forces made in someone’s home. That silky smooth first sip that adds a gossamer wall of music to your otherwise mundane day. That magical music holding the power to furnish clarity and change one’s mood and direction. That amazing music that creates a heightened experience, a caption in your life’s narrative.
To say that I simply ‘like’ the espresso here, would be an understatement (see my soliloquy above). I officially want to put this spot on the Unilocal radar for many others to enjoy.
