LEX Mastertech

I found LEX Mastertech online because I needed an oil service on my ’15 IS250 right away, and the dealership was booked over two weeks out. So I decided to give this place a try.
The customer service is really good here, the man and woman who helped me were very kind to me, however I will not be returning here.
The reason I’m giving two stars is because, I pretty much paid the same price as I would at the dealership for an oil change. I apparently got a «discount». I looked at previous paper work to see what I was paying at Longo and it was pretty close. At Longo, they check everything for your AND even wash your car for free. AND they shuttle me to and from work (12 miles away each trip). So if you do the math, in the grand scheme of things, you actually get a better deal at the dealership. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m really happy with the service at Longo albeit it’s costly. The customer service is beyond superb. Everyone says that the dealerships are crazy expensive but I honestly don’t mind because they are certified technicians and I don’t have to feel doubtful about trying an independent shop.
I still thank LEX Mastertech for their kind service to me, I just didn’t feel like I was «saving» money by coming here.

Wow where to begin. Well I just bought a 2003 Lexus RX300 (only 68k miles) and took it to a dealer to get checked. The dealer said my rear brakes were down to 2 mm and needed replaced. After quoting me $ 480, I decided to shop around. Linda at Lex Mastertech quoted me $ 270 so I took it there. First, the service was great. Linda and Mike were very respectful and courteous. I planned to pick up my car later that day before they close at 6 but I got called into work out of town at the last minute. Linda was awesome and was kind enough to hold the car til the next day, free of charge. So when I went to pick up the car the next day Linda and Mike advised that my rear brakes were fine! Yep they had 3 of their mechanics check and all confirmed 5 mm. They could have easily charged me the full $ 270 but were honest enough to tell me the truth. They also looked over my car and pointed out a few other little things but the total bill was just $ 47. Their honesty and kindness will bring me back for sure!

I highly recommend Mike, Linda and the rest of his crew at LEX Mastertech.

The reception area had been remodeled since my last visit, with fancy coffee machine, comfy chairs, and flat screen TV so if you have to wait no problemo.
I also know they provide rides to the immediate surrounding area and their convenient location means you could also walk the 25 minutes and hang in Old Town Pasadena.
In conclusion, skip the dealership and other shady auto shops, come here instead!

I absolutely felt safe with Mike working on my car! Unfortunately, I had an oil leak that pep boys could not detect as that was the first shop I took my car too. When I took my car into Mike, I had a check engine light and the car took at least 10 times to crank. Mike was able to see that the oil leak affected some areas and I needed some major work done including the catalytic converter, some hoses, and other areas. I felt that Mike was honest and patient with me as he explained in detail the needs of my car. I also felt his pricing was fair compared to other shops in the area.

I am very disappointed with my past visit. I was already aware of the problem thar my Lexus IS250 had, but after reading the reviews I thought I would get a better deal here. I was wrong! Mike quoted me at $ 720 and the dealer had already given me a quote at $ 520. Isn’t the dealer always more expensive? What is more frustrating is that I went to go pick up my car and I was never forewarned about the $ 49 diagontoc fee. To make matters worse I had to wait an hour for them to charge my battery so I can drive my car home.

Took my vehicle here on the recommendation of a co-​worker who always has his vehicle fixed here. Mike helped me and was very professional, the shop and office is very clean, they fixed my car right and at a very fair price, I trust Mike and his staff and will be back if anything else goes wrong with my car., thank you for the good work.

So thankful to Lex Mastertech. I was giving up hope for my car. For a year, my tire light would light up if I drive more than 30 miles at once. I’ve been back to Toyota to get it checked 3 times, another tire shop with high reviews 2 times, got my car big service done at this other auto shop (came back with a bunch of problems) 1 time. I was beginning to think my car must be cursed or something. Every time the light comes on, I would become super stressed because there were TWICE where I got a flat tire, and I would ignore my tire light because I thought it must be another one of those times. I spent so much money going to different places to get it checked, and what they say is my car is getting old and the sensor is super sensitive now that’s why the light keeps coming on. After I brought my car to LEX Mastertech for service, everything has been fine. I haven’t seen the light for months! I don’t know what they did, but really grateful to them. Although I might have drive 20 miles to go to them… I know it’s totally worth it.

I brought my ’05 Toyota Prius here when the hybrid battery died. Mike is extremely friendly and fair, giving me a straightforward estimate for the work and the amount of time it would take. He’s extremely trustworthy, and bringing my car to him made a chaotic day much less stressful! His wife even drove me home when I left my car there! Mike clearly loves his work and does it very well. Thank you, LEX Mastertech!

Mike, the owner, is great. He provides honest service and he is serious in doing his business. Not like the lexus dealers, who think if you can afford a Lexus, you don’t mind spend hundreds of dollars on the car. But nobody like to be fooled, right? Here you will get the quality service and reasonable price.
I’m glad I did some research online and try to get rid of wasting my money on dealers. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars after I came here since this year. Regular maintenance, and also I had to change my tires due a flat tire. Speaking of that, Mike was very helpful getting me in appointment same day since this was kinda emergency. They are a small family owned business, I understand how much more work they have to add in a day in order to help me, and deliver the car back to me same day. So I’m much thankful for it.
If you are in this area, and want to take care of your car, this is the great place!

Terrific mechanics, great service — personal and attentive. The owner is fully qualified and certified for everything toyota. Prices very reasonable, often half that of a dealer.

Mike is always helpful. When I feel like somethings not wrong with my car, I give him a call. I don’t know anything about cars, so I probably ask the stupidest questions, but Mike always answers. When I take it in, he is more than accommodating. I always feel safe taking my car there. My family all drives Lexus so I always tell them to take their car to Mike as well.

Mike and his crew have done an excellent job with my Prius and my husband’s Lexus. They do good, reliable work and are honest. Unlike my experience with the local Toyota dealer, they don’t recommend services that I don’t really need. I recommend Lex Mastertech.

Mike and his crew are amazing. They are very patient, thorough, honest and genuine. Experience is no less than going to a dealer.

Mike is the most honest, thorough and helpful auto repair person ever. He and his tech people figure out problems and provide straightforward information about how your car can be repaired and how much it would cost. Lex Mastertech helped me keep an older car on the road for as long as possible. Most recently, Mike assessed the car and we made a round of needed repairs. The car ran like new. Days later, the engine light came back on. I called Mike and he took the car back in. After several days of work, he diagnosed a tricky problem and advised me that the repair was likely not worth doing, given the age of the car. And he did not charge me for the time and effort spent figuring out the problem. Mike really knows his stuff and cares about his customers. I recommend him highly.

I was in a bad mood on Wednesday because I had AAA tow my SUV to Mike’s shop late Tuesday night and get an overnight parking permit too.
Mike replaced the alternator immediately and my mood changed for the better.
I’ve been taking my two cars to LEX Mastertech for about five years and I’m a very satisfied customer!

If you believe in reincarnation then you’re in luck cause Mike is the Michelangelo of automotive sciences (no, not the turtle, the artist).
First of all he is outstanding to his customers and so is his staff, the lovely lady in his office was courteous, friendly and you can tell they care for their customers.
When my little Prius light up like a Xmas tree mike was the only one that would help me put, as busy as he is he took the time to help me out when others said… maybe next week… For that alone I’m hugely grateful since I work at a hospital and I need my little Prius to get around.
Not only did he diagnose and fix my issues but two issues were part of a recall, he id’d them for me and also told me who to see at the dealer that he trusted. Another reason why if there’s a mechanics Nobel prize mike should get it. While other mechanics give you the business Mike and his folks know what business is.
The man and his staff knows cars, they are great mechanics and have great customer care. I wouldn’t go to anyone else, I trust Mike and I will recommend him to everyone. He rightly deserves 5×5 stars.
By the way the man has the cleanest shop outside an OR Room.

I have been a customer since LEX Mastertech opened its doors to the public (I used to take my Lexus to the dealer). Mike is a certified Lexus mechanic and his consistent 5-​star ratings speak volumes. Would I recommend this shop to my friends?

I’ve brought my car here for routine maintenance and repairs for over 3 years. Mike and his team have treated me and my car very well. Mike is always friendly and professional. He greets me by name when I walk in the door, gives me honest opinions of repairs (when compared to the opinion of the nearby dealership), makes good conversation to get to know each of his customers, and offers rides to/​from my home. His estimates were fair and less pricey than the dealership.
The office space itself is clean. I don’t mind waiting for my car here. The lounge chairs are comfy, there are several outlet plugs around the room to charge my laptop or phone, and there is also a Flavia coffee machine.
Be sure to make an appointment in advance. Certain days, weeks are busier than others.
I highly recommend Lex Mastertech for Lexus and Toyota auto maintenance and repairs. I’m happy to have found a trustworthy, dependable mechanic!
