History

Established in 2010.

As the son of a talented massage therapist, I grew up receiving Chiropractic care as a young boy before the age of 10. It was just a way of life, staying healthy and keeping my fitness.

Moving from Los Angeles, just a few years ago I decided to join forces with the likes of Dr. Smith in Pasadena and his legacy of runners. I brought my own skills to the table and together our goal is to help enhance the health and spirits of the community.

Since I trust fully in my partners adjustment skills and diagnosis ability, at times I have Dr. Smith see patients of mine, this way we can maximize the hours we are here and the number of people we help. Our staff are expert at scheduling, insurance questions and billing along with adjunctive rehab therapies.

When not in the office, we do our best to help other with our free running and hiking programs with the Pasadena Pacers Running Club and the Pasadena Hiking Pacers.

We are known for our short treatment plans & wellness care.

Business Owner

Dr. Cressey received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles. He also studied Physical Anthropology and received his Bachelors of Science from the University of California, Riverside. He has a certification in Whiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology.

Beyond his academic experiences, he also had many years of work experience as a retail manager for a high fashion company as well as an associate for an active wear company.

When he’s not helping others with their Chiropractic needs, you can find him outdoors either hiking, climbing, cycling, or running. He loves leading groups on hiking trips and bike rides. These groups are for anyone who wants to get outside and have an adventure in a supportive environment!

Dr. Cressey is also very active in the Yelp community too. Go to one of his UYE’s (Unofficial Yelp Event) which is usually active outdoor exercise fun for beginners and advanced individuals too. These events are at no cost

I have been treated by Dr. Cressey for the past several years to address ongoing intermittent pain and complications with my neck from a car accident some years ago. Seeing Dr. Cressey has helped me immensely to continue my active lifestyle while remaining flexible and for the most part, pain free. The office staff is great, the space is clean and modern, and I get great individual attention whenever I come in for an appointment. If you have been thinking of seeing a chiropractor in the area, I highly recommend Dr. Cressey.

Dr. Cressey and his staff are wonderful at making patients feel at ease, comfortable and confident about the care they provide. I went in for an old bumper car injury (unbeknownst to me, drove a car without governors & slammed into a wall full force) few months back at the time. At the time of the accident, I actually didn’t feel too much discomfort that wasn’t bearable. It was several months later that I woke up in bed in the morning unable to move my neck and back. Feeling utterly terrified, I knew I had to search for a reliable, trustworthy and calm doctor who understood the severity of the situation. Was I to be paralyzed for life? After several weeks of consistent treatments (averaging 2 – 3 times a week to start and tapering down to twice then once a week), we were able to slowly alleviate the extraordinary pain and paralysis in both my neck and back. They will utilize various treatments to give you the optimal care. WOW! To think back, it was hard to believe recovery in sight but Dr. Cressey always had faith because he knew what he was doing and has worked on many accident-​related cases. He is no joke. He & his remarkable nurses are genuine, compassionate, professional, patient, knowledgeable, honest throughout the process, and mostly, they always carried a positive attitude and shared that with their patients. Don’t believe me? Go visit them for a wellness checkup! It’s a family-​friendly environment. Do you know why referrals are good? – There’s far less risk of being disappointed! :)

I saw Dr Cressey originally for minor aches and pains and overall maintenance. After seeing several chiropractors over the years, Dr Cressey stood out differently and was able to hone in on what was troubling me and fixed it. — Location/​parking: it is located in the first floor of a business building where there is a parking lot next to it. The doctor’s office offers parking token for patients to take. The tokens are placed in a bowel on the counter top of the front desk. Having a parking lot in place is a huge benefit especially driving in Old Town Pasadena. If parking is your concern, don’t worry, they got you covered.
— Staff: Greatest staff I have met. Both receptionists are very welcoming and attentive. They don’t overbear you by keeping calling you or texting you to secure your re-​visit. They give patients enough personal space and adequate amount of greeting and chatting. Walking into the office just like you walk into your friends’ place.
–Doctor: Great human being and very professional. Unlike some chiropractors who persuade patients to purchase treatment sessions. Dr. Cressey is very straightforward. I went in with a complaint of neck and upper back pain/​stiffness. He told me that his treatment timeline from urgent stage where office visits are expected to be every other day to maintain stage where office visits are expected to be once a week or every other week. After the treatment, your body will heal on its own. The treatment schedule is very reasonable and attainable. I like it that he gets to the point and his treatment is quick. Not wasting a single minute.

I can’t think of any. You may end up liking him too much and keeping going back :)

What a great experience! I hurt my lower back Saturday and couldn’t deal with the pain any longer. Found Dr. Cressey on Unilocal,made the call at 1:00 and he fit me in at 5:00! I was first greeted by Robin who was such a delight. When it was time to meet the doctor he was very nice and thorough with a good sense of humor. After the therapy bed and fantastic adjustments I knew I was in the road to recovery. The best part was running into a friend in the office where she solidified my new preferred choice of Chiropractor.

Dr. Cressey is just simply good people. A fellow foodie, all things Pasadena enthusiast, personable, professional, and most importantly great at chiropractic care. I probably average a tune-​up every six weeks to two months due to repetitive work activity and daily exercise. So finding a place so close to work/​home has been a godsend. Aside from the average tune-​ups I have had some acute aches that Dr. Cressey diagnosed/​adjusted/​resolved right away with shoulder pain, ankles, hips, and lower back stiffness (ahhh the joy of the mid 30’s). If any of this sounds familiar to you and the pain becomes unpleasant, Dr. Cressey is a good place to start.
For those of you who are on the fence about chiropractic care, don’t just go on popping pills, wellness is in your future! Highly, highly recommend Dr. Cressey and 100% agree with what so many others have said about his service.

Awesome chiropractor!!! I went to see him due to some vertigo from a middle ear condition and there is a maneuver you can do to fix it. Well he was so professional, courteous, the office staff is amazing and he’s extremely skilled! He fixed my problem with 1 visit! He’s very thorough. I highly recommend! Dr. Cressey rules!
I was pretty nervous about my visit to Dr. Cressey as it was my first time seeing a chiro and I dislike going to any type of doctors office/​being touched, especially by strangers. Dr. Cressey was very personable and made me feel at ease. He was informative which I appreciated and did a phenomenal job.
I came in for pain in my tailbone, but he was able to identify some untreated problems in my neck due to a car accident two years ago! He sorted me out, and I feel like a million bucks!
I’m a huge fan of bi weekly foot spa, but I’m considering converting to chiro monthly instead! Thanks Dr. Cressey!

I found Dr. Kressey on Unilocal after being rear ended and in dire need of an adjustment. I had never been to a chiropractor prior to my visit here… Although I had kept my fiancé and dad company to multiple visits of their own chosen chiropractors.
Right when I walked in I was greeted by a VERY friendly and personable receptionist. Dr. Kressey and Dr. Smith were off to the side of the desk and came up to ME to introduce THEMSELVES! (WOW talk about GREAT care). Both were thoroughly interested as to why I was here and gave me a mini tour of what they do in the office.
Then, Dr. Kressey took me to the back where he completed an assessment via questions and physical assessment. I was confused with a bit of the terminology and o think Dr. Kressey could tell so he re-​explained everything with imitation bone props which was SUPER awesome (…and funny).
After, he adjusted my back and then we went to another little room for some hydrotherapy.
After TWO visits of this my back felt WAYY better. Dr. Kressey was honest enough to say you don’t need to come back if you’re feeling good. It has been so WONDERFUL to find such an HONEST doctor who is interested in the person and not just making money.
I refered my fiancé here who now comes on the regular and he loves him just as much as me!

This review is long over due, as I have been a patient of Dr. Cressy for many years. He has a wonderful practice! From the moment you walk into the door you are greeted with a smile and friends. Thank you Robin and Valerie! The office has state of teh art equipment and Dr. Cressy & Smith are so very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.
I do have to admit I was a big skeptic the first time I walked through those doors. However, I was in pain and needed help. Dr. Cressy’s compassion and empathy, yet stern knowledge based facts put me at ease. I’ve been a believer every since and he has truly helped relieve a lot of the tension and pain i was living with for so long. I highly recommend Dr. Cressy, he’s really a wonderful Dr. and person.

Are you a skeptic? Chiro newb? Scared of anything medical related? Well so was I… until I visited Dr. Cressey.
I was involved in a car accident (not my fault I promise) which left me in pain and unable to sleep at night. I was referred to Dr. Cressey by my lawyer and went in not thinking this is going to help me with anything… Fast forward a few weeks later and I feel better than ever… physically and mentally.
Anyone will tell you that I am afraid of everything but Dr. Cressey explained everything to me and answered any questions I had… and I had a lot. A very patient and funny man. I was still unable to relax fully during the sessions but he pulled out all of his tricks to make me CRACK.
He also has a great group of individuals working with him. Amanda, for example, remembered my name on my second appointment. NO ONE has ever remembered my name or even pronounced it correctly after meeting me only one other time. She didn’t have a chart, I didn’t sign in, I didn’t wear my name tag… She’s always bright and cheery so you leave feeling better even after a crappy day. Everyone there is so very friendly and nice, it’s kind of unreal, but it works… you leave feeling better because of the positive energy and vibe that they produce.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Cressey, especially if you have never been to a chiropractor. I am planning on making this a monthly thing for me and would not consider seeing anyone else. Tell him that you read my review… maybe he’ll tell you a funny story lol.

If you’re looking for a chiropractor, look no further. Dr. Cressey is great at what he does and so is his staff. From the moment you arrive EVERYONE warmly greets you and makes you feel extremely welcomed. I was a bit apprehensive at first but he was very personable and talked to me about all my questions and concerns putting me at ease. He actually took the time out to explain to me the basic anatomy and what my issues were. Unlike with others in the healthcare field, I NEVER felt rushed when I was with him which I really appreciated. It appears they DO NOT overbook their patients and they are very efficient on top of that. I don’t think I even waited 5 minutes before I got called in. Excellent service through and through! Plus he rocks a sweet bowtie!
