Jack Matiossian – State Farm Insurance Agent

Horrible customer service, I am a loan officer, we requested the evidence of insurance for 6 days when we finally did get, it was wring, we gave them 2 more days to correct it and the ignored our request, the lady Sofia said I MIGHT get to it today, absolutely ridiculous for insurance worst insurance company I have ever dealt with in my 13 years in the business. Do NOT USE

The absolute worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. Staff is unresponsive and Jack never bothers to get involved when there are issues. I don’t know how he stays in business. I would NEVER recommend this agent to anyone.

High office staff turnover. Jack himself doesn’t seem to be in office very often. Poor customer service when we were applying for a mortgage. He must not care about his business as he is never there.

DO NOT BUY INSURANCE THROUGH JACK MATIOSSIAN.
He provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced with an insurance agent. He must be very new or has been able to skate by without doing anything for this clients.
I used to be a satisfied State Farm customer with an agent in Seattle. I signed up for insurance after I moved to CA and all I needed to do was a simple address change for coverage.
They claim it takes 10 days to process, and I get it. But after over 26 business days since I updated my coverage address online, I still had not seen proof of that change on my account. My apartment complex in CA needed the new proof of insurance so I could move in and get my keys. As I’m driving down from Seattle, all I can think about was the fact that my insurance agent is completely screwing up my life.
I spent over 20 hours on the phone with State Farm customer service trying to get my agent and address changed. 20 HOURS! Nobody should have to deal with that over an address change.
Incompetent staff, and they don’t not pick up the phone. Jack was an awful communicator via email, the one time he actually responded.
Call the office of Derek Tsu and buy insurance through them directly. Great staff, very prompt, they are a phone-​first agency but very good at email communication too. Night and day to Jack’s «service».

After 7 years with his office, I finally saw the bright light with the new agent. The new agent is helping be gain back 2 years of multi-​line discount through back dating, since Jack’s office was too busy (or incompetent) to insure my whole house, earthquake and cars. Left me uninsured once for a few weeks, while driving my kids around = high risk. Didn’t care, probably does not even realize I left. Low probability of communication, notification and true assistance — treated like a policy number. High office staff turnover. Does not engage on a personal client level. Never even recognized my name after many years. I don’t usually write bad reviews but this was worthy. If there was a zero, i would pick negative value.
