Ipekjian Custom Woodwork was founded in 1973 by Jim Ipekjian. Jim has been recognized by many as a leading authority on the furniture designed by noted architects, Greene and Greene. In addition to furniture designs of the Arts and Crafts period, he has designed in the style of everything from early American, English, and French furniture to contemporary and modern furniture made from materials such as wood, metal, stone, and glass.

John Ipekjian, son of Jim, is a second generation cabinetmaker and partner in Ipekjian Custom Woodwork. In addition to custom woodwork, John fabricates furniture and lighting of his own design.

Really good people. Went there a few weeks ago. Their minimum charge is $ 10 for any small thing you ask them. At first I thought it’s a bit steep for just trimming a couple of pieces of wood, but when his son noticed that the wood is warped, the poor guy spend half an hour sanding it to perfection without asking for a dime more than the original $ 10 quote. Now I’m almost looking for an excuse now to get them to build me something :)

Jim Ipekjian is a master woodworker. He is one of the country’s finest craftsmen. Though he specializes in craftsman-​style and Greene & Greene furniture and fixtures, he can do anything. You’re not just buying furniture, you’re buying a piece of artwork. It’s worth looking at his website to get an idea of what he can do. Aside from that he and his sons are easy to work with.
