This business is a branch off of Doctor’s from St Joseph’s Medical Hospital. Imaging Specialists of Pasadena (ISP) combines state of the art medical imaging technology with personalized patient care. We are one of the 2 Imaging facilities in the area who provide 3T MRI’s, open MRI for our claustrophobic patients as well as PET CT. We pride ourselves in creating a comfortable and calm experience for our patients while providing high quality imaging. Our goal for our medical community is to provide our services in a timely fashion with results available within 24 hours of service.

Dr. Jason Sinner

Dr. Jason Sinner obtained his medical degree from Finch University, The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He completed his medical internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following residency, he completed an MRI fellowship at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California under Dr. Lee Chiu.

In 2006, Dr. Sinner joined Valley Diagnostic Imaging Medical Group located in Burbank, California. In addition, he is currently on staff at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank as the Assistant Director of Radiology and the Director of MRI.

Dr. Sinner is also currently the president of Imaging Specialists of Pasadena (a Valley Diagnostic Imaging Facility) which opened in June 2010.

The service was ok. I did have to wait a long time before I was seen. But, this is the least of my worries. I had a car accident and my chiropractor wanted me to have MRIs for my back and knee. My husband called before I had the tests and we were given a quote of $ 450. My chiropractor sent me there with the same quote. He said the prices were between $ 450 and $ 550. Well, as soon as they found out that I had a lean and it was my insurance that was paying for the MRIs, out of nowhere, they came up with really high prices. My insurance and I contacted their billing department and they were less than awful! The sad thing is that they got away with it. They charged us for three MRIs close the $ 3,000, when they were supposed to charge $ 1,350. Thieves with license to rob. As my clients would put it, «gougers»!

Even though I had an appointment I experienced a long wait (1hr. and 20 min.) for a five minute X-​ray of my lower back. Next time I intend to ask my physician if I can have my imaging done elsewhere.

I must admit that the whole process of dealing with this organization was very smooth and very well explained to me. I had a unique situation to where I did not have insurance but I was getting a MRI on the lien for an automobile accident that I was in. What I enjoyed most was dealing with Eva as she made the whole process from getting the lien signed to getting all the paperwork started in the beginning and making the whole appointment come through very smooth and very easy. she was also very kind to the whole process and did not judge me for not having insurance which I truly appreciate. even more so I really enjoy the text that worked with me as they were very kind and explained every step in the process so I was not scared or surprised buy anything they were doing. I have mild claustrophobia so literally have to close my eyes while I’m in the machine so that I do not see how tight I am locked into this massive beast. either way I was in the machine for over an hour and it didn’t feel very long at all.

Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Had an open MRI, as I am a bit claustrophobic, and felt really comfortable and it actually seemed to go by quite quickly. I will go here again for any imaging I need in the future.

I must say this is the best imaging place I’ve ever been to! The staff were all very nice and accommodating. While I was having my MRI the technician checked on me several times and gave me updates on how much longer the process was going to take to make sure I was comfortable. They provide free coffee and bottled water in the waiting room. Parking validation also! If I ever need to have any imaging done in the future I’ll use this place for sure!!!

Billing is a NIGHTMARE. Cash patients be aware!
I went to this office for a lower lumbar MRI without contrast. They were able to fit me in the same day and they were reasonably prompt with their procedure. (Between the wait and the procedure it took about 3.5hrs) the technician is very nice and reassuring.
because I’m using a high deductible insurance policy, I negotiated with a cash patient price of $ 458​.it is not the cheapest (prices go as low as $ 300 in so cal) but because of the availability, I decided to pay out of my HSA account. I gave them all the info, and thought that was it. No Bueno! 2 months later I got this $ 1500 bill from a third party billing agency saying I have to pay in less than 15 days… otherwise I would be considered delinquent. Called the call center/​billing center all the way in TX only to be told they are not responsible and I have to go renegotiate with the Pasadena office. Called and went to the Pasadena office, payed the cash price in full in person, only to be told it’s my responsibility to notify and verify with the 3rd party billing agency… are you KIDDING me? Needless to say 4 hours and 1 certified mail later I’m still not confident they would be able to fix my account.

Why didn’t anyone tell me that my scheduled 7:30 appointment wouldn’t start until 8:00? I was totally stressing to get here on time. Every minute I spend waiting here is a minute I have to make up at work.
The saving graces: the keurig coffee maker, flat screen tuned to cooking channel instead of medtv, and the imaging tech who is phenomenal. I always forget to ask his name… But great people skills.

This is the second time I have been to ISC and it’s always been a good experience on what could be a stressful time. The whole staff are very professional and still very kind to the patients. I especially want to let you know that you have a great company asset in Ms. Mandy Goetschel. Mandy is very attentive and tries to put one at ease. Her bedside manner (Imiging) is just terrific. I wish other care givers could learn from her. I probably will not see her again, but I’ll remember her for a long time. Grace Wertz

Today I went in for a left shoulder MRI (without contrast) in Imaging Specialists of Pasadena’s closed 3 tesla GE scanner.
The building/​location is very clean and modern. Their waiting room is very nice with a big flat panel TV and complimentary bottled water and Keurig coffee. Everyone who helped me was smiling, polite and friendly.
Even though I rolled in a little late (I had downloaded all the forms and pre-​filled them out to make up for it) they rushed me back and scanned my shoulder without question.
The scanners are very loud (but they gave me earplugs so it wasn’t that bad) and they are quite compact/​enclosed inside. I tried to relax and smooth out my breathing to keep my body from moving while the techs talked me through the 40 minute procedure. They were very communicative along the way.
The best part of my visit was the price. ISP’s fee for the service was almost 50% less than several other centers I phoned looking for the most competitive price. Through my research I became aware of many centers charging full retail for less powerful, older 1.5 tesla scanners even though they don’t produce the image quality of scanners like ISP utilizes.
I asked for a copy of the MRI and they promptly burned me a CD. Even took down my hellofax number so the report is sent to me along with my referring doctor.
I would highly recommend ISP for an MRI, or other medical scanning services they offer.

The front staff was incredibly helpful, both in person and over the phone. The guy that performed my test was really good and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. When it was done they got the images over to my doctor before I’d hit the parking lot.
Great service and I’d recommend them to everyone. Plus they have a Keurig coffee maker in the waiting room.

I WALKED IN for an ultrasound today hoping they would squeeze me in although I did not have an appointment or had ever been to this place before. As soon as I walked in I was greated by 2 lovely ladies Nancy and Ava as soon as I told them my situation they gladly squeezed me right in, the new patient packet was short and the weight was like 15 minutes. Just like that a walk in and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Experiences like these are what make me go out of my way to write reviews on Unilocal.Also a big plus is that they seem to be one of the only offices in the building that validate. So if you see any other doctors in that same building as well, go there first and then go to Imaging centers. Thanks for the splendid experience.

Having had experiences both as a referring doctor and as a patient in this practice I have to say they are very professional. Office is clean and everything is brand-​new. They use 3T MRI which is far superior to many of them out there. All the radiologists are nice and the staff is professional. I had a swallow study done for my upper G.I. which was a surprisingly pleasant experience. I’ve sent numerous patients there for x-​ray studies CT scans and MRIs over the years. I still like some of the other centers in the neighborhood but they seem to be the nicest to me personally.

After being sent to Madison Radiology in Pasadena (which i feel is the g.h.e.t.t.o of radiology) I finally was referred to ISP. Been there twice now and i have to say, it is a great place! The front office staff is helpful, the waiting area comfy (coffee, bottled water, magazines, cooking channel on tv, what more could you want!) and the xray techs/​doctors are really nice. I’ve had the same radiologist both times, can’t remember his name, just that he’s from Texas, and have to say that he does everything he can to make sure you are comfortable and have a good experience — he’s amazing! Dr. Reiner also is really personable and professional. Absolutely will ask for referrals to ISP anytime I need radiology. Well done! PS — they validate parking for the whole time you are there!
