It was discovered after a classroom check by the school nurse today my daughter was one of the students that had lice. I had spent months earlier in the year dealing with this nightmare with her. All it takes is one overlooked egg (nit) or bug to start a infestation again. This time I wasn’t going to spend the time, labor or tears and took her to Hatchin N Scratchin. The $ 110 fee is average compared to other places and is about what you would spend over time for special shampoos, sprays and combs, so why not get it all done at once and by a professional.
The owner, Daniel, saved me any extra heartache, and was very sweet and kind. I called to make a appointment, thinking it would be a day or two before we got in and he actually told us to come straight over soon as I got off the phone with him. I did not expect such quick, efficient service! He took care of my daughter soon as we walked in the door and was done with her in exactly 30 minutes, as he said. The $ 110 also includes 2 – 3 weekly checkups. You also get to keep the Terminator nit comb he uses on your child for quick brush-​through at home. Would definitely go to again for future lice breakouts (but hope that is not any time soon!)

The dreaded lice!!! It seems my daughter gets it every summer. This place is just down the street. He’s very nice and bends over backwards to fit you in. We paid $ 110 for a treatment– average. My only concern is that he only uses water and brushes them out. I guess I could’ve done that. He offers a week check up, but just combs through real fast. It made me nervous, but they haven’t reappeared. It’s been 2 weeks, so I guess we’re clear. I check once a week because of paranoia.
I would go back if we get it again.

My daughter came home with lice after being in summer day camp. Bad news I caught it on a Friday after 5pm. Good News: Hatchin N Scratchin were my life savers. I had googled lice removal services and a few places came up. Unfortunatley it was so late on a Friday that no one would take her in… until I called Daniel with Hatchin N Scratchin! Poor guy was in spending time with his family in Galveston and I called hysterically hoping he could treat my daughter. I was so relived that he could treat her because I don’t know how I could of dealt with lice. Daniel was as nice as can be, reassuring me to not freak out… lol. He put on a movie for my daughter to watch while he went to work… and he even checked me too. The place is very inviting considering your there to get rid of head lice… lol. It has a cute monkey safari theme that my daughter loved. I’m hoping we never have to go back ever again, but would I recommed these guys… you betcha, in a heartbeat. Thanks hatchin N Scratchin for getting rid of my daughters lice.
