Frontier Ventures is a mission agency that helps to improve strategic decision-making and practice on the frontiers of mission, surmounting the barriers that hinder God’s kingdom from coming among all peoples. This focus is reflected in Frontier Ventures’s many publications, programs, and projects.
History
Established in 1976.
Ralph and Roberta Winter founded the U. S. Center for World Mission in 1976 because of the startling realization that even if believers shared the gospel with every person in their culture, roughly half the people in the world would remain beyond the reach of the gospel because of linguistic and cultural barriers. This reality compelled them to establish the USCWM in order to champion the cause of the «unreached peoples.»
«A church for every people» became the watchword of the USCWM and has remained at the heart of its vision for almost 30 years. Since its early days the USCWM has sought to champion many more insights into the nature of the work of the kingdom at its frontiers. We envision a world in which redeemed families actively love and obey God within their God-given identities and communities, working with Him to restore His rule and reign on earth.
