Came in here on a whim and to kill time. I’ve been needing a pedi for quite some time and i decided I’d treat myself not cheat myself. I was in the area and stopped in after reading great reviews on Unilocal.I was greeted nicely and was seated in a nice spa chair that gave a great back massage. I had my pedi done by Yandi who was just as sweet as could be. She did an amazing job and honestly brought my feet back to life! Yaaassss. She was patient, gentle, didn’t try to really sell additional services. She made a great recommendation on my nail color. I looooove my pedi. I will definitely be back to see Yandi for a full set and pedi soon. Thank you!!!

I came here for a fill because the price seemed reasonable. While the lady was doing my nails. She said $ 2 extra charge. I was confused because why would you suddenly add an extra $ 2 charge to my fill! This made me really upset. No need to charge extra for no reason!

never am i coming back! i should have just done them myself! plus the chick doing my feet had the nerve to leave my toes dry! i should’ve left! so unsatisfied

I’ve been a ridiculously loyal client to this place for almost a year and a half but after today, I won’t be returning. My only reason for being so loyal was because of sweet Kelly. I’ve seen many people come and go and quite honestly I think this new older lady (sitting at the last manicure station) really needs to go. I’ve been getting my nails done for so many years and she is by far the worst! She’s extremely unskilled and is always rushing and trying to take shortcuts. Instead of allowing your gel to soak longer in acetone if it’s not lifted, she uses a rough nail file to remove the gel. No, she doesn’t just remove the top gel layer, she files all the way down to your nail bed. I’ve had to tell her on at least 3 separate occasions to not do that. Because of her excessive filing, my nails have recently started burning under the UV light. Everyone knows that aggressively filing your natural nail is very damaging.
Today, this young manicurist removing my old gel polish was a bit too rough and accidentally tore one of my nails. So we had that older lady add a nail tip to match the length of my other nails. Not only did that lady do a crap job (she didn’t even buff out the acrylic with the file machine!!) leaving it bulky, the nail tip was added to my tab. Why should I be charged?
A fellow Unilocaler also mentioned being overcharged a couple extra bucks and it’s true. I frequent this place almost two times a month and have been charged 24, 25, 26, even 30 just for getting a gel manicure. I always tip $ 5 – 6 so a couple extra bucks on top of that doesn’t mean anything to me as long as the finishing product is good. But after today’s session, I’m done.

Should have known better when they didn’t ask for a name when i called for an appointment. Didn’t make it through manicure. Three bleeding cuticles were enough.

They were so friendly and did such a good job. I wish I would have got the lady’s name who did my pedicure. She took her time doing a thorough job and two other ladies there were helping me out with my 4 month old baby. I had her in her car seat and since they had some down time, they were playing with my baby. Very sweet ladies. Over all I was very happy with my first time visit. Definitely coming back. Also they are very clean. They use bags over the sink for the feet. Not all places do which I believe is very unsanitary so I was pleased and felt comfortable

I’m not gonna give it one star, cuz that is just mean. But since Tom left I went in ONCE for my nails. The lady really messed up my acrylic nails! Four of them came off after just 5 days, and by the end of the week the whole set had lifted or come off. Also, when the set was put on, my nails were SEVERELY damaged so it took FOREVER for my real nails to grow back out and recover before I could get my nails done again, even with just plain nail polish– not even the artificial nails, just a plain old manicure.

I finally found time to write a review about my favorite nail salon! I’m obsessed with gel manicures/​pedicures! I go to this place every 2 to 3 weeks. I found this place when I bought a house in the Hastings Ranch neighborhood. I wasn’t sure if I could find a place that could live up to the snobby place I used to go to on the Westside in Westwood. I’m glad I tried this place out even though it doesn’t look that nice from the outside. Kelly is the owner and she’s the best at gel manicures! I always ask for her when I walk in or book an appointment. Lisa and Kelly’s mom is great at pedicures! If you aren’t happy they will gladly correct their mistakes to make sure you leave a happy customer.

I’m back! I went again today to get my nails done by the best of the best. I called ahead and when I got there there was no one. Yay! She, I didn’t get her name but she must be new because I hadn’t seen her before, was very thorough and the shape of my nails are amazing. I have no complaints about the service at all!
One main concern I have is being overcharged. I had a full set and gel done. $ 20 for the full set and $ 15 for the gel should have been $ 35. Instead this lady charged me $ 37. I mean its $ 2 extra. Come on not a big deal. But there was honestly no reason for the extra $ 2 charge. She gave me a bullshit reason saying that it was because she had to shape my nail. Are you really gonna do acrylic and not shape the nail? This reason was totally absurd and unnecessary.
I ended up paying $ 40 which I’m pretty sure her $ 2 extra charge was for a mandatory tip and so her totally tip was $ 5. I was gonna give her a $ 5 tip anyway because I really liked the work she did but this kind of action really ends up discouraging me from paying a courteous tip if they force it on me anyways. This had never happened to me before and I wish this doesn’t continue because it would be heart breaking for me to stop coming here. I really love the work they do.
Please make sure this doesn’t happen again!

I was so excited to come here today for the first time. Unilocal says this location opens at 9 and no one is even here. Also the time at the shop says open at 9 am.

DO NOT go here for gel French tips as a walk in! I don’t write very many reviews. That is because it is very hard to upset me. I have had many sub par manicures and normally just deal with it until they grow out and try a new place. This was terrible though and I just want to warn people. I went back in to ask them to remove it because as I sat in my car I decided this was a level that I couldn’t just deal with. The lines were sloppy, the gel was uneven and all over my hands, and there were purple fibers stuck in the gel. I tried saying something during the manicure and was pretty much ignored. When I went back in another lady told me «not a big deal»! I wouldn’t have even written this but for that comment. They do poor work and think that an unhappy customer is no big deal. Never again. Even after they «fixed» them, my nails look disgusting. How sad.

First time trying this nail salon and only because they CLAIMED to do ombré nails.
One star for their fill job and that’s about the only thing they know how to do.
I called ahead of time to ask if they do the ombré nails with regular nail polish and that I’d also need a fill. They said they did.
I get there and I show them what I want. They then act like I didn’t call before hand. So they asked me to wait and I did for about 20 mins. While waiting, I see an elderly lady waiting as well and she’s complaining how her nail tech was running late. The nail tech she was waiting on ended up being the owner *shaking my head*
Owner was late and then she said she forgot about the appointment.
I got my fill job which was great. Prob the best I’ve ever had. Then the nail tech I had which was very nice asked how I wanted my nails. It must have been the 7^th time I was asked that question after I made it clear what I wanted so I was already annoyed. Once I tell my nail tech I want ombré nails and show her the pic, she begins to speak in her language with all the other nail techs including the owner. I HATE THAT. BEYOND RUDE. So the owner then tells me it can only be done in gel. I told her that I called ahead of time to make sure 1. the service can be done 2. to be sure it’s with regular polish and not gel.
She then tries to bullshit me that it can only b done in gel. And I told her that I refuse to pay for gel and asked her what kind of business she runs based off lies. She then said okay she could do it with regular nail polish. So there they were already trying to rip me off with the gel service.
The owner then goes to do my nails which consisted of the color nude and black. My nails ended up looking like a tire ran over them. Even the lady next to me was disgusted by their service towards me and how my nails came out. I ended up telling the owner that my nails look NOTHING like the pic I brought which she had said she could do. I had her remove her attempt of ombré nails and asked for a refund. She was noticeably upset and began speaking in her language once again and as she took of my polish, she was also rough.
POOR SERVICE, TRIES TO SELL GEL WHEN YOU DON’T WANT IT, LIE ABOUT SERVICES THEY CAN PROVIDE, RUN LATE AND ARE RUDE.

very disappointed –came in on a Sunday afternoon was looking for some time to relax. Came in to have pedicure done. While the lady w glasses began cutting my cuticles I felt she was rushing. She was rushing so much that instead of cutting the bit of cuticle on my big toe she pulled n yanked instead! It was the worse pain I hade ever experience — when she noticed how uncomfortable I was she applied a blue solution which stung like heck. once everyone in the salon noticed how uncomfortable I was — the other staff came over looked at it and said there was nothing wrong because it wasn’t bleeding. what they didn’t realize was that the blue solution stops bleeding!!! it was so painful and they still charged full price for my pedicure!!! Talk about terrible customer service. My got swollen and bruised up quite a bit. At 2 weeks later my toe is still sore and bruised.
I called them to ask if they could finish the pedicure since I rushed out of the salon half way through. I asked if they could polish my nails without an additional and they agreed but then went on to lecture me and try to prove their innocence by reminding me that since my toe didn’t bleed I was too sensitive!!! Terrible customer service here — I’m going back to Inail plus — the ladies there are gentle and careful

2^nd time around. Not busy again. Which is such a great feeling. Just knowing they will not just rush their work. Brought my bf along for a little R&R.
The gentleman did _​alright_​work on my first time ‘Coffin’ nails. I didn’t mind spending the money for me. I can’t help think they charged me extra for my bf Mani and pedi. Anywho, the guy who worked on my nails cut me til I started bleeding. Told me cause my nails were too small? Idk. And had him color the bottom of my nails black BEFORE he started anything. BUT apparently I told him «too late» — and told me he would have done a better job if he did them before…
Anywho, they’re pleasant enough to still tip. And tipped them well. (10 $/​person)

I love this place! Kelly does the best nails! This place is not expensive either. My nails are always beautiful and flawless. The best part is that if you show Kelly what you want she can do it! That’s how I got my amazing fish nails. I will never go to another nail salon again: D

I read so many good reviews, so I decided to try it out. Thanks to Unilocal,I have found my new favorite Nail Salon. I absolutely fell in love with my finished nail work. All the workers were extremely nice to my sister’s and I. I do recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Thanks to Unilocal I found this spot. I had to make a stop in pasadena and I live a little futher down towards the 10 east. But I found this location as it was on the way, and I called and made an appointment and they were able to take me in the same day.
I was greeted instantly and a gentleman started working on me. They have a good selection of colors for nail polish. So I picked one for my toes… and then I was debating on either acrylic or my usual, gel nails. They have a great amount of selections for gel color. Truthfully speaking, not often do nail technicians tell you your best interest on what you should get for your nails… they usually just do their job and whatever you request. However this man. knowing I was debating gave me his insight on what he thinks I should get. He noticed I usually get gel manicures and my nails are healthy and strong (I havent had acrylic in over 5 years but I felt spontaneous) he gave me his opinion and said… u should keep your nails nice and healthy.
And about 10 mins later when they had a techncian ready for my pedi, they moved me over to the spa chair. The employees here are realllyyy nice. Since I speak Cantonese, and so do they, they made funny jokes and conversations. The shop is owned by a mother and daughter… and its so cute when the mom is telling the daughter to be careful. and dont drink. hehehe so cute.
The gel manicure was 25 and the pedicure was 17. I used the Unilocal coupon for first time visit which is free manicure with a purchased pedi. So she knocked off 10 bucks from the manicure. gel is 15. My total was 32. :)
I like my nails to look clean and cuticles nice and fresh. I hate when they leave bubbles or make it too thick on the nail polish. But they both did a great job!
Ive been bouncing back and forth trying to find a steady good nail salon. some of my favorite spots are in costa mesa. Buttttt I think ive found my home! :) tjey gave me a stamp card so my 10^th visit is complimentary on mani or something. I forgot lol. :)

Scratch everything below– I came back (twice) thinking it would be the same experience but it was far from it. Senseless, careless cuticle trimming and rapid filing have left my nails janky and ugly. Very disappointed. Won’t be coming back.
I am writing this review as I sit and get a pedicure. This is probably some of the best service I’ve had in a while. I don’t know the last time I was asked by someone providing me a service if there was anyway to make it better– that’s worth mentioning. When I told her about a pervious gel manicure I had (that I wasn’t happy with) she asked about it. She was inquisitive– asking what it was I didn’t like and how she can make sure she doesn’t do that same thing. The young woman who did my gel manicure was gentle and sweet. She asked me sweet questions and took a genuine interest in our conversation. She is a young new business owner and I think she’s one of the few who actually gets it. The business is family owned and operated and it is very apparent that they take a good sense of price in what they do. I will continue to come back here. I am very pleased.
Come here for great service at a reasonable cost. $ 48 for gel manicure and pedicure with callous removal! Perfect!!!
And they have a stamp card. 10^th visit is free!

I finally found a great nail shop in SGV and its mins away from my store! The new owner Kelly is great! I have eczema so she’s real gentle when doing my nails! The décor is so modern and not like your typical nail shop with hands all over the wall.
Kelly will do any nail style just show her a picture and she’ll do it! They also have new spa chairs that are just so comfortable!
Come visit my friend Kelly and tell her Barbie sent you! You will not be disappointed
