Bruce Porter was a master! He was professional, friendly, and highly skilled. Brand new leather couch from a designer store made like new. I would trust him with my most valuable items. Bruce, you saved the day!

Bruce did a fantastic job fixing the driver’s side car seat in my Mercedes. The seat got a tear in the leather but when Bruce was done it got all patched up and you have to look carefully to notice where the repair is. He was very helpful when explaining the best maintenance care of the leather seats. I recommend him highly to anyone with car seats or furniture that needs repair. You’ll be in safe hands and you’ll be very happy with the result.

I recently had a student of mine take his nails to my lovely couch and Bruce not only fixed them, but they looked so much better that I decided to have my entire couch, life seat, and ottoman conditioned as well. He really cares about his clients and the overall product. He even stopped to share some of his techniques so in the future I can condition myself. Th couches look so great and I’m super happy that he was able to fit us in his busy schedule.

OK, I don’t write reviews! I read them and then go on with my search until today.
I had 5 cushions scratched by my 70 lbs dog jumping on this beautiful sofa/​chairs when he had been taught better. Nothing major but damaged enough to bother me. These are expensive Spanish leather pieces we paid a fortune for, many years ago.
I finally had it and couldn’t look at these scratches any longer. I made a few phone calls, and from one vendor to another, I was told to call Bruce at Fibrenew. He was closest to where I live and would probably be able to help.
I left a message and an hour later he was telling me what needed to be done and what his cost was going to be. He said he could pop by later that day and pick up the cushions and have a look at the entire sofa and chairs.
He promised them back a few days later and here I am writing this review. He was true to his word, very friendly, fast and most importantly did a tremendous job.
I will use him again in a heart beat should I ever need any leather or vinyl piece fixed.

AMAZING! They practically saved our production! A couch that we are featuring for a commercial was damaged during delivery. All our art department contacts were unavailable, then we found Fibrenew. They helped us on extremely short notice and we are very pleased with the repair work! Grateful for their professionalism and service.

Some of my reviews on Unilocal are about having a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Mitsubishi put this car out as a stripped down rally car but basically it is your mom’s Lancer besides the things that make the car special (i.e. the motor/​trans/​drivetrain/​suspension…). These cars are kind of tricky and like all Mitsubishis, they are pretty much junk (…and I have owned 3 Mitsubishis with 2 more in the family). In addition, Mitsubishi never warrantied EVOs properly, so when your car starts to fall apart, you have to get creative if you want to keep it looking nice (e.g. the CF wing, the Brembo brakes, and the steering wheel have all been issues for most owners). One big weak spot on these cars is the Momo steering wheel.
One other thing is that I am married and there is no chance my wife would allow me to drive around without an airbag. If I was single, I would just pop a non OEM, non airbag steering wheel on my car and call it a day. However, most people who have common sense would want to retain an airbag in case of an accident that would warrant one.
As a result, I have this 2004 EVO and the steering wheel looks like a 10 year old steering wheel. It was worn down from daily use and there was a big tear in the leather on the bottom. I went around to some shops that do upholstery on cars and household items but no one felt like they could restore the damage and wear on my steering wheel. Most businesses told me I should get a new steering wheel. One day, while driving home from work, I saw the Fibrenew van and decided to call them up. Bruce responded right away and knew exactly what I wanted. In fact, he had worked on some pretty serious cars in the past (specifically that of a certain celebrity who wins at the collecting cars competition that you may have heard of).
Within a couple days, Bruce came out and picked up my steering wheel. In a couple more days he brought it back looking like new BUT feeling better than new. Don’t pass that last comment up. The wheel before was leather but it was never soft and supple. Now the wheel feels much more soft and supple more deserving of an M3 or some other fancy car that my EVO will never be. So, not only does the wheel look perfect but it feels better than perfect!
I am really really happy with the result. I will use Fibrenew for my future repairs to my upholstery of any kind.

I also added before an after pics of the main damage to my steering wheel. Basically, the bottom seam tore out. Bruce made it look as if it had never happened. Really good work!
I will also post updates after some daily driving and a couple track days to review wear and tear.

I have a 15 year old sleeper sofa that was dirty and stained and I was ready to throw away until I found Fibrenew Pasadena. Bruce Porter completely restored and changed the color of my sleeper sofa and now it looks like a new piece of furniture. Bruce is an artist, a professional and a really great contractor that you can depend on. He shows up on time, does exactly what he tells you he can do and is honest. I am so happy that I discovered this fantastic service. Bruce saved me thousands of dollars that I would have paid for a new sofa that probably wouldn’t have been built as well as my old one. Bruce was friendly and courteous! A real «find»!!!

I wholeheartedly concur with Richard L’s review of Fibrenew Pasadena. We had a 13 year-​old sofa and chair that we had managed to practically destroy. It had sun damage, deep scratch marks, discoloration from aggressive cleaning… it was a mess! We really should have thrown out this furniture, but we really liked the style and knew that we would never find another top grain sofa of similar quality at an affordable price.
I Googled leather refurbishing and found Bruce. Bruce is a magician! He brought our furniture back to life. It looks brand new! Our friends can’t get over the difference. While the process wasn’t cheap (you get what you pay for), it cost far less than what I would have paid for a new sofa and chair of inferior quality.
Since repairing this furniture, Bruce has worked on an ottoman, some CHANEL/​Prada/​Fendi handbags and the seat on my Audi. I recommend him ALL the time. He has a client for life!
