I went to see Raymond at EFS about 2 – 3 years ago to get my credit repaired as my relationship was approaching the next level and I didn’t want to go into a marriage without my finances in order. I had a student loan that I ignored for yrs and credit cards in delinquency. He counseled me and gave me step by step instructions on what to do and also did what he could on his end to clean up my credit and get me ready for «grown up» financial decision making. Within 1 yr my score skyrocketed and I began receiving credit approvals left and right. And all this was accomplished without breaking the bank! Raymond from Excellent Financial literally saved me over $ 1,000 dollars in debt! He is very knowledgeable and will take you step by step through any returns you need to file, and his preparation prices are extremely reasonable. If you are a small business owner or independent contracter (1099) I HIGHLY recommend you to see him! It will save you money in the end.
I’m a massage therapist, and previously used Turbotax for my returns, which did not end well (they estimated I owed much more than I did). I finally decided to see a tax preparer to help me, and Raymond was the first one to actually answer my call from a slew of calls to various companies. He helped me go through a various years I needed to file or amend for, which resulted in me saving a lot of money. All my IRS tax related anxiety is gone! The amount of customer service and know-​how he runs his business makes me confident that whatever comes up taxwise in the future will be taken care of the in the best way possible.

raymond assisted me today on an overdue return i had to file. i am a 1099 freelance filmmaker and photograper.
first, he responded within minutes to a phone message i had left. (VERY rare in this world, definitely took notice of this).
second, he was straightforward, courteous and professional. his advice made sense every step along the way. i had the return prepped by an accountant beforehand, and pretty meticulously so. but there were lots of iffy things as to specific numbers, and raymond navigated through them and filled me in as to technical IRS details i didn’t know about.
third, my accountant had given me an estimate as to my probable tax liability. raymond was able to reduce that amount to one fifth of that estimate. not by one fifth, TO one fifth. my accountant really knows what she is doing, but i have to say, quite obviously, she pales in comparison.
fourth, his fee was reasonable to say the least. i got an estimate by HR block earlier today, which was around 3 times what raymond charged me.
needless to say, i will be back with future returns. great service, much appreciated!

This review is long overdue! This is the second year Raymond has prepared our taxes, and on both occasions he has done an amazing job. In addition to being very reasonable with pricing, the service he provides is well above average.
Last year I did a lot of research and made a lot of calls to find a good tax preparer because we needed something specific and I wanted to make sure we had someone who (1) knew how to do it, and (2) would actually do it right. The majority of the tax professionals I spoke with fell short of convincing me that we were going to be in good hands. Sadly, my research revealed these folks (I suppose you could call them the «run-​of-​the-​mill» tax preparers) reflect the majority (my estimate is 80%) of what’s out there (I called about 20 professionals).
On our first contact, Raymond’s knowledge and expertise stood out pretty quickly and noticeably (he’s a very professional, sharp, and honest financial expert who knows what he is doing), so I felt confident he would be able to provide us with what we needed. It was the best decision we made because he’s done a terrific job twice and we plan to use his services for all of our financial advisory needs in the years to come.

Had my taxes done with Armando Lopez and was very satisfied with my overall experience. Not only are they very knowledgable there but they’re friendly and professional. There’re services were very reasonably priced and got back one of my biggest returns.

I have been doing my taxes with these guys for a two years now, and they are great! I dont know much about taxes besides getting charged a ridiculous amount at other tax preparation places, but they were very good at explaining how my taxes were prepared and how my refund was calculated. Not only are they friendly which is needed in the customer service aspect of it; something a lot of businesses lack, they are fast effective and efficient.
