I absolutely love europane but only this location. I have no idea how the two of their cafes can be so drastically different. This one is clean, modern, inviting and the pastries always look fresh, whereas the other one looks dirty, stuffy, slow and super outdated. I first went to the old one and left without buying anything because the pastries looked so dry and bready. Second time I ordered coffee and didn’t like it. After that I stopped going until I discovered this location across the street from Paseo Colorado. Now it’s my favorite café in Pasadena. My husband and I always come here with our pooch and stay for hours just reading and enjoying ourselves. Their food is great, and so is their coffee. I only wish they made matcha drinks. Super nice place in perfect location with great atmosphere.

I am in love with the egg salad at Euro Pane! The eggs are fluffy and delicious, and overall it’s a fairly healthy meal. The presentation of the food is nice and the portions are pretty filling here, but I love that it doesn’t make you feel disgustingly full afterwards. I haven’t really ventured out to try anything else on the menu, but why fix something when it’s not broken? Depending on how crowded it is, it can get a little difficult to find a table. Also, I recommend finding street parking, or you can also park in Paseo’s parking lot and then hang out at the shopping center after your meal.

I don’t know what the magic is but this place has the best egg salad sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’m not even trying to exaggerate a thing. Every time I’m in the area this is where I come for breakfast. I don’t mind eating this egg salad sandwich every day. Definitely worth a try.

My favorite 5 star food has been completely tarnished by the sexist language of the staff. I’m 55. Please don’t call me sweetie or sweetheart or darling or dear unless you are extending the same infantilizing endearments to everyone in line.

Although most of the people in line wanted coffee, we came for baked goods where the pastries were better than the cookies. The puff pastry fruit tart with poached pear had a firm bottom(insert your own body part joke here) yet still flakey pastry crust and the apple bread pudding was wonderfully wet and eggy. The sticky nut cookie was better than the burnt tasting mocha cookie due to a heavy dose of coffee(clearly designed for the coffee drinking customers) and the snickerdoodle lacking the traditional cinnamon spice.

This place is so good I find myself often craving a good open faced egg salad sandwich like the one that they have here. Definitely famous for a reason. I always get mine on Sourdough and it’s so delicious. The eggs are perfectly cooked and the tomato paste on the bread is the perfect amount of tangy-ness needed for this sandwich. It always ends up being much too heavy for me though and I can’t finish the other half. That’s okay though-leftovers for me later! Don’t have much to say about the other sandwiches but my friend liked the Monte Cristo and I would definitely recommend the egg salad sandwich. The macarons are also humongous and delicious.

Long overdue review for Euro Pane. My mom and I have been loyal customers for at least the past 3 years… yet we both still don’t know how to accurately pronounce their store name. I actually just visited today and inhaled their Sea Salt Caramel & Earl Gray macaroons while waiting for their ever popular open egg sandwich. Turns out that their earl gray macaroon is a brand new item– earl gray shells and chocolate inside filling – DONOTIGNORETHIS. Both macaroons were phenomenal, but I will definitely come back for the earl gray. Another must item for me are their english muffins. Or basically just fat dough. A heads up that their english muffins will most certainly sell out by noon on the weekends. I advise to call in the morning and reserve them if you won’t survive ’til the end of the day without them. Overall atmosphere is calm, casual, and most importantly not tacky. Parking can get difficult and the reality is… you likely will have to pay some dollars. One con is that it is not the cheapest bakery. I’m not even going to complain hard about this because everything I’ve had here has never disappointed me(and my mom).

Got me some open egg faced sandwich! It had simple tomato paste spread onto the multigrain, with dark green salad sprinkled on top. And the cholesterol ladden egg salad sits on it all. Very tasty. And I got the strawberry macaron since the salted caramel was unavailable. It’s about the size of my palm. They put a generous amount of filling and it tasted so fresh+creamy. I’m more than willing to come back!

The Arnold Palmer is addictive. I had one Thursday and came back for another today. Is there a 12 Step Program for Arnold Palmer addicts? Who knew that berry tea with lemonade could tempt me daily? The mixed greens salad was so good that I forgot to ask for butter or olive oil to go with my bread. But who cares when the salad is that good? One thing that must be mentioned is the service. I’ve never seen prompt service during the busy lunch period. And that’s why I keep coming back! Up next: the sweets and coffee …

I tried their open faced egg salad sandwich, which is quite popular and for someone that loathes mayonnaise, i really enjoyed it. I also had fresh squeezed OJ, very good and some macarons. Although fairly larger than your average macaron, the taste and texture are spot on. They have great flavors, not too sweet and nice and chewy. Great customer service. Street parking and seating inside and outdoors. I really wanted to try their brioche, which my sister raved about but they were all out. I guess its that good. Ill have to come earlier next time!

This is my second time for get café . Yesterday I got just one macaroon before I go to the work. That was really huge and perfect sweet! It is $ 1.85 /each !!! And I was really happy to try out. then I come back — just … Little disappointed. Café latte? First time try –Just like Starbucks. Nothing special . and bread? This is way too much Sugar. I got 3 bits and drinks full of small latte. Still I cant taste my latte… Ah. Just like American food. Too much sugar and rich sauce. If you care about health, this place is not good enough for you. Maybe I will get macaroon sometimes, not food anymore.

My wife and I were hanging out at the Pacific Asia Museum down the street and decided to grab a bite to eat here. t’s a clean and modern space with a big community table in the middle. Line up at the counter on the right, place your order then find a seat at that table or one of the smaller tables throughout. We decided to share the Monte Cristo and a few macarons for our snack and it turned out to be a full-on early lunch. The Monte Cristo was huge, rich, and filling. I loved the interesting take on the sandwich, with the cheese on top instead of in the middle. One of our table mates ordered the egg salad sandwich and it looked ginormous. Note to self: try that next time. We tried the sea salt caramel macaron and it was outstanding. Not only was it bigger than most macarons, but it was also cheaper(less than two bucks each). A sweet and salty treat that was the perfect size after our impromptu lunch. Our first visit to Euro Pane Bakery was a pleasant surprise and we’ll come back when we’re in the area again, whether for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet snack.

I stopped in while perusing old town because I saw that this place had been on best thing I ever ate on food network. The featured item in that episode was the egg salad sandwich and the caramel macaroon. Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of egg salad sandwiches but I gave it a shot because how could I turn away from something that was considered the best thing [adam gertler] ever ate??? The sandwich was very good, all things considered, and wasn’t as egg-y or mayo-y as most other sandwiches, which I enjoyed. I got mine on an olive bread but apparently the rosemary currant is also a popular choice. The sandwich comes with arugula(?) and a tomato pesto which goes GREAT with the olive bread. I also got a pistachio macaroon because they were out of the caramel and it was very yummy. Water is available self-serve at the utensil/condiment bar and I helped myself to that but apparently the arnold palmer beverage is very popular there as well. Anyway, the reason for only three stars was because I didn’t think the service was all that great. It was hard for me to catch someone’s attention to ask a question before placing my order and the entire time that I was there, the adjacent table had dirty dishes on it that weren’t cleared despite about half a dozen people on staff chatting behind the counter. The pastries all looked really yummy but I didn’t indulge today — worth a shot if you’re with a group though! Parking is metered street parking and I don’t think they have their own lot(I walked there so I can’t be sure though). tl;dr — This place is worth a shot but I probably won’t be returning.

In the area and decided to grab lunch. Parked a block away at a meter. Placed my order at register and was told they would bring it to me. Clerks were Friendly. They have tables for 2 and a large communal table. Grabbed a seat at the communal table. Ordered the Open Faced Egg Salad on Multigrain. The Egg Salad is fresh, fluffy and plenty of eggs. BUT I DISLIKED the sun dried tomato spread combined with the Egg Salad; not pleasing to my taste buds. However, the Multigrain bread was toasted and fresh, too. So I basically ate the Egg Salad separate from the sun dried tomato Toast. Overall, service friendly and items are fresh. Would return to try other items.

Saturday noon, came here for brunch. Their service is good, although they were busy at the peak time. Drinks came with low or no sugar. The portion of the food was big enough with a reasonable price. Love their egg salad, the dressing of the tuna salad was good too.

A Pasadena favorite now with two locations! The prices are on the higher side but the quality is there. One gripe is that the server didn’t ask us if we wanted our pastries heated up. As I was eating next to the pastry case, I overheard the server asking if another customer wanted there item warmed… ugh. We had the almond croissant, bread pudding cake, gruyère cheese puff and a few other yummys. Tasty as always, the bakers have it down and they are consistently putting out great goods. However, I would only go here to get their specialty items you can’t find elsewhere. For me, Cream Pan is better and more affordable… and closer :)

Two things that kicked this up to a 5 star for me? 1. Sweet sweet(and pretty good-looking, too, if I do say so!) staff. 2. The biggest macarons I’ve ever seen. I came for a late breakfast snack and coffee with a client out in Pasadena, from her recommendation. They had tons of unique(and normal) french breads and pastries — fruity, nutty, and sugary all available. The coffee(I had a mocha) was expertly made. I didn’t get to try the quiches or other savories this time, but they looked perfect; and I’ll be back!

I was actually a little disappointed. Everything was lovely when we walked in — the café space seemed comfortable, the workers were so welcoming and sweet, and the pastries in the window looked so good! But alas, their food most certainly needs improvement. I picked the almond chicken sandwich over their famous open faced egg sandwich per my cashier’s preference/recommendation. The almond-crusted chicken was actually quite rubbery and unflavorful to the point that I got a little worried(but luckily no food poisoning today! \o/). The cranberry walnut bread I chose was also too dry for my taste. My friends had more traditional breakfast/brunch options — eggs benedict and french toast. I didn’t get to try the eggs benedict but it looked delicious, though it was fairly little for a high price. The french toast was fantastic, complete with blueberry preserve and sweet mascarpone. ITWASSOGOOOD. Definitely worth getting if you’re feeling something sweet rather than savory. We also bought a few of their HUGE macarons! I tried the blackberry flavored one and though I didn’t really taste much of the blackberry in it the macaron itself was still a treat! The shell’s interior was wonderfully moist and chewy with filling that wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. Excellent macarons. I just can’t get over how large they are! I’ll be getting my macarons here from now on fufufu~ Tl;dr the almond chicken is funky but the french toast is yummy and their macarons are GIGANTIC.

The egg salad on olive loaf is very good. It’s open faced. There must be a half dozen eggs on the sandwich. They are not in diced chunks like a typical egg salad. Rather they seem randomly cut and smushed and there is no chopped celery. Some of the yolk is slightly soft, which is awesome. It is really heavy, and can easily feed two people. It’s the best egg salad I’ve ever had, so if you’re a fan of egg salad, this is a must try. The lady who might be one of the owners was really nice. It took a long time for the sandwich to come out, and the lady was so apologetic, she gave me several free pastries. Among these, the chocolate croissant was very good as well. There’s a good mount of indoor and outdoor seating. Paid parking is available on the street.

Tried their raspberry macaron today — so good! Nice creamy filling and larger than the average macaron. It was just the right amount of sweet(I’ve had macarons before that were too sweet and made my teeth hurt). It paired nicely with my black coffee from copa vida. An array of breakfast and other sweets available — will be back to check them out! Located across from the Paseo Colorado shopping mall/theater. Street and garage parking available.

Is there such thing as too much egg? Pause for effect. ABSOLUTELYNOT. I mean, I suppose if you’re considering small matters like your health and your cholesterol, the argument can sometimes be made that there is, in fact, such a thing as too much egg. But if, like me, you are a little selfish/blissfully reckless and choose to indulge your body and soul in some choice vices, the answer is always more egg. Cue Euro Pane Bakery with the most awesome Egg Salad Sandwich I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. A not-so-small mountain of egg salad is served open-faced on such wonderful bread choices as Olive and Rosemary Currant. I’d heard stories of this sandwich and expected it to stand up to its reputation, but I was not expecting to love it quite as much as I did. The eggs in the salad are perfectly medium-boiled– truly textbook, with whites that are just set and yolks that take on a creamy, almost jelled consistency. It’s yolk porn for any egg slut. Mix a whole lot of that good stuff with some greens, a delicious sun-dried tomato spread, and some freshly baked rosemary currant bread and you have the makings of a truly spectacular sandwich. I’d eat this daily if I was confident it wouldn’t contribute to a shortened life. I wish I’d stopped it at the sandwich because if I had, Euro Pane would warrant a full 5 stars, no doubt. But I just had to get the Cobb Salad w/chicken, which was lackluster. Not terrible, but supremely forgettable and way too expensive. I immediately regretted getting the salad over some of the amazing pastry options on display– that’s what I get for willfully ignoring my sweet tooth :( No matter, I will, without a doubt, be back for the Egg Salad Sandwich of my dreams and will be sure to stock up on some of the truly gargantuan pastries/macarons. Stay tuned.
