Enchanted Florist

History

Established in 1982.

Debbie Wright, AAF, TMFA opened Enchanted Florist with her cousin Linda Haltom in 1982 and it has remained a family business since then. The store moved from it’s original location (Burke & Southmore) in 1989 to where it is today on Strawberry.

After Linda retired in the late 90s, Debbie’s mother Marcella Silva came on board to help out until 2001, but not before teaching Debbie’s daughter Tarrah the ropes in book keeping for the store. Tarrah still works in the shop with her mom today, bringing with her her own child.

Debbie believes stongly in education. She works closely with Texas State Floral Associaion in continuing education of current florist as well as certification of high school students. She has also taught classes in Pasadena ISD’s continuing education classes for teachers.
