Diamond Vision Optometry

I was nervous about finding a new eye doctor after moving to CA but the staff at diamond vision put that worry to rest. Also my eyes have been dialated. Hopefully no errors in this message

I have been coming here for several years and couldn’t be happier. The doctors are wonderful as is the staff. They have a versatile selection of glasses for men and women, and the staff is really great at helping you find a frame to suit your face. They have always been so kind and warm to me, especially with my schedule, they always find a time to see me, have helped me with getting contacts when I ran out and needed them for weekend away and they have a candy bowl that makes my son super happy too.

Diamond Vision is one of those places that makes me glad to be a resident of Pasadena. They make me feel extremely comfortable and put my needs and wants first. They are quick and efficient. The staff is as kind as they are beautiful. They have a extraordinary selection of frames when picking out a new face. These girls know style and they have only the frames that will make the ladies scream «who is that guy and how to I get to know him.» I am so happy that I found Diamond Vision and will keep coming back to them for all my eye needs!

Was visiting and needed my glasses adjusted. They did a splendid job and were nice about it. Cool people to chat with. Also picked up a bottle of lens spray. It’s only proper. Don’t be a freeloader

Diamond Vision is a great store to visit for anyone who is looking for a satisfying experience no matter what they are looking for in eyewear. This review is long overdue. I visited the store about a month ago. It was my first time experience at the optical and I was looking for my first pair of reading glasses. Everyone at the store was super friendly and helpful. Dr. Kao was very friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived I was instantly welcomed and I chat with basically everyone at the store before the exam, getting my new patient info and we breezed through the eye exam. I was very relaxed and comfortable. I was worried about my vision and dryness that I’ve had for a while but turned out that I have very slight vision change and my eye dryness can go away by constantly using lubricant eyedrops. They gave me the drops for free which I thought was a very nice thing to do specially for a new customer. :) I looked at their frames and glasses and they have a great selection of choices and styles. Price was moderate I’d say. And they will help you to pick the best ones that suits you fits you in every way.
Everyone that I’ve talked to seemed very honest and professional about what they do which is a HUGE deal for me. Everywhere you go no matter where, you wanna go to places where they know about what they do and make you feel like you can trust them and are in good hands. To me Diamond Vision was a best experience in customer service and friendly professional atmosphere. I’d recommend this place to everyone who needs the best help in optical.

I have had my eyes checked with various eye Dr.‘s over the years and Dr. Tran at Diamond Vision in Pasadena is the best Dr. I have ever seen. She is so very smart and and very informative. I don’t particularly like going to the eye Dr. but Dr. Tran and all all the staff caused me to feel very comfortable and relaxed. The eye exam was thorough with the best equipment which also caused much ease. I have never had better vision since getting my new contacts as well. Dr. Tran was very wise in her prescription and understands the whole eye very well. The location is perfect is well. On Lake Avenue right across the street from Macy’s and there is free parking behind the building. There office is right on Lake Avenue inside a very lovely boutique area. I recommend Dr. Tran and the entire office to anyone that has eye care needs. I am very grateful for meeting them.

They are so nice and welcoming and have a wide variety of glasses to choose from!

Dr. Jacqueline Kao is great! She’s personable, accommodating, and thorough. She took her time with me, discussed my needs, and helped me find good solutions for my vision needs. I really like her and highly recommend her! =)

Pros:
— Dr. Tran is quite friendly and knowledgeable (also the latina office assistant)
— Verified my insurance coverage by calling my insurance provider directly with my provider after I didn’t initially show up in the insurance database.
— Clean and organized office
— No pressure in buying their glasses or contact lenses

— Clerical error in rescheduling my first appointment
I received a DMV License renewal notice in the mail which states that I must take a required eye exam. My family has pretty good vision and I have taken an eye exam only twice since college (i’m 29). I took a an eye exam for contact lenses about 2 – 3 years ago where my prescription was just –0.5 and –0.25. Prior to that exam, my vision 6 years ago, only required contacts in one eye. Since I do a lot more reading in my new position the past two years I was worried about passing the DMV eye exam. I went online, looked up my vision provider locator and found Diamond Vision Optometry. Their offices was within my insurance network and conveniently located 2 – 3 blocks from my office.
I called 3 weeks before my DMV appointment to schedule an appointment. At the time, Will was kind enough to verify my Vision Insurance directly with my provider since my name did not automatically come up in the online database. After confirming my vision insurance, I scheduled a Friday appointment. Due to an unexpected deadline at the office, I had to work over time the rest of the week. I called Diamond Vision on Wednesday to reschedule my Friday appointment to the following week. I lost the post-​it I wrote my rescheduled appointment on, so I called back Vision Optometry Monday or Tuesday to confirm the date and time of my rescheduled appointment. I show up later that week a little past 10:00 am for my appointment, filled out about 3 pages of new patient forms, and scanned a copy of my vision insurance card. Once that was all completed the gentleman in the front explains to me a scheduling issue in which my appointment was not for today but for Friday at 10:00 am. The gentleman asked who did I speak to over the phone and other specifics regarding the scheduling mix-​up. After my explanation, the the gentleman explained that I can wait about an hour or so due to two patients who have already arrived for their appointments. Out of respect for the two patients that rightfully have an appointment, I told the gentlemen that I will just return on Friday morning. The gentlemen kindly apologized and provided several solutions for the mistake such as having lunch a coming back in an hour.
In all honesty, I was initially upset about the scheduling mix up but I understand that life happens and so does simple human error. I decided to give them a chance at first my appointment and reserved my review until after my second follow-​up appointment for dilation and contact lens fit. Diamond Optometry was sincerely apologetic for the rescheduling error and treated me with nothing but kindness by Dr. Tran and the office staff for both appointments. For that, they earned a positive review tilting them towards 4 stars instead of 3.

Pretty nice place. Stuff is attentive, great selection — I would say a little more on the pricey side (I have a great insurance but the price was still higher than I expected). Overall — clean, professional and accessible.

Good people, good selection of frames. Very professional service. The one shop for all my needs. Highly recommend asking for Vince, made me real conformable through the whole process.

Diamond Vision was a great place to get my eyes checked for several reasons. They answered every question I had and put no pressure on me to buy glasses or contact lenses like other places. They helped me try on a variety of contact lenses which is important to me because I have very dry eyes and astigmatism that makes most contacts unbearable for me. The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I can’t speak much on the frames because I was only there for contacts but they appeared to have a large selection and there were many people trying on glasses while I was there. My wife especially loves the place because they helped her fix her current frames (which were loose and bent) at no charge. I hope to bring my kids there next and will update my review once I do.

Diamond vision optometry provides a very comfortable experience. When dealing with the eye you want someone trust worthy. Dr. kao does just that and is super friendly to answer all the questions you have. DVO is the première choice !!

I only buy my glasses at diamond optometry. I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years and everything about this store is wonderful– the optometrists, the customer service, the selection of glasses, quality and price. Stop looking at other places and come here.

Most kind and patient and inexpensive and no wait, even with 2 (free) contact lens follow-​ups, no hard sell — after dealing with a miserable experience elsewhere (Linden), I’m thrilled with this one. I only went for a contact lens appointment and eye exam, so I can’t speak to the frames.

Really great service from a knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Quach was really nice and very patient. She spent a great deal of time with me trying to find the right set of contacts that would address my dry eyes issue and I never felt like I was being rushed.
Very impressed with the service overall. I don’t have an opinion on eyeglass frame selection but for contacts fitting, eye glass fitting and for a general exam, I left feeling very satisfied.

Diamond Vision Optometry is top notch. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed by friendly and attentive staff. We came here to get our daughters’ eyes checked before school started. Dr. Huang was very friendly to them and made them feel at ease during the exam. Jessica was also very helpful in helping the girls pick out frames they liked and also to explain what our insurance covered and did not cover.
My wife and I were so pleased with our initial visit, we decided to get our eyes checked as well a few weeks afterwards. Again, a pleasant experience for us all. We just picked up our prescription glasses and we are all very pleased with how well the frames fit and the correct lenses help us to see better and no more eye strain.
We highly recommend Diamond Vision Optometry. This will be our go to place for our eye care needs from now on.

I had to use Unilocal to find the right optometry for me, and I did not regret it. I was given excellent service and some friendly, happy smiles from staff who are obviously skilled and not in a hurry to help you just to move on to the next patient.
Dr. Katee Quach is a caring doctor who really works hard to get you your right prescription and checks your eyes thoroughly. Vince was very helpful in the front office helping me make the right choices on my selections and catering to all my needs and so were the other staff there. My orders for contacts arrived on time when they said they will and I was happy they even installed my sunglasses nose pieces for free.
I work in the medical field customer service and I’ve been to a lot of optometry clinics that were so packed, the docs are too busy to even do a thorough eye exam and its disappointing. I am impressed at this clinic for the great customer service they have and the professionalism they practice.
The clinic is also very clean and neat and its located at the heart of Pasadena so its easily very accessible.
