decent rates, sometimes it takes awhile to get out depending on how slow the cashier is moving or how dumb the person that is trying to get out is (see people scrambling to find the ticket all the time)

The line is long! The cashier is slow! I waited for like 5 mins to get out only to know that I am ONE MINUTE late! Come on, if the cashier sees how crowded and how long the line is, she should’ve ticket overwrite! She only said, «we are crowded, you should’ve given more time». Well, I won’t be one minute late if you move faster! Seriously, it’s not even about the few bucks! It’s so frustrating that you were told leaving almost 10 mins before the free parking expires is still not enough because I should’ve known that I would encounter a cashier who is not as fast as the other lane!!! What an attitude!

If you need to know just two parking structures in Old Town Pasadena, this is one of them (the other is the Schoolhouse one a block east at Fair Oaks Ave. and Green St.). This structure is conveniently located in the heart of Old Town on S. De Lacey Ave. between Colorado Blvd. and Green St.
Parking is free for 90 minutes before 10pm, which is usually sufficient enough for a meal, a trip to the Apple Store for your broken iPhone, or some shopping on Colorado Blvd. After 90 minutes, it is $ 2 every 30 minutes until $ 6. It is a $ 5 flat fee if you enter after 10pm. Always plan enough time to exit as there are a lot of cars, allocating at least 10 – 15 minutes especially on the weekends.
Some parking spaces are tight, so use your own discretion. The structure is generally clean and pretty well-​lighted at night. Be patient and good luck — you’ll find a spot!

I never even try to park on the street because you get 90 minutes free here. After that’s it’s only $ 2. When was the last time you going something for $ 2? It’s close to many shops and restaurants so the location is great. It can get a little congested sometimes but you just got to be patient and you’ll find a spot. It seems as secure as any parking structure. It’s generally fairly clean. Offers both stairs and elevators depending on your preference.

Old Town Pasadena has a plethora of things to do for the whole family; eat, shop, hang out and park FREE for 90 minutes. Woo hoo!!! Granted there are a couple other parking structures in Old Town that have this same deal, It is centrally located to everything on Colorado Blvd.
Here’s the breakdown:
Parking is free for the first 90 minutes, plus $ 2 an additional hour.
Daytime, cost is $ 6 from 5 am to 10 pm
$ 5.00 flat rate from 10 pm — 5 am.
Remember, this is a maximum of 90 mins. There is absolutely no grace period, even if the line to get out is long. If you want to avoid the extra $ 2.00 for being over the 90 by one minute, allow yourself ample time to get to your car and exit the structure.

Its a parking structure that is well lit, has security makes the rounds, centrally located in old town Pasadena and I gotta tell you… Its smells nice too. What smell has to do with a parking structure I have no freakin’ clue but it was worth mentioning. Oh… you also get 2 free hours with no validation needed so thats great if your having lunch or a quick shopping trip.
Stairs and an elevator are also provided. Its the only place I want to park in Pasadena!

Almost all parking structures in Pasadena are owned by the mysterious Universal Valet.
That cookie cutter mission statement obviously means that their parking structures are clearly built on a Lovecraftian vortex. Whenever you exit one of their insidious structures, it’s invariably in a dead end alley that faces the pentagonal Parson’s building.
Even more eerie are the perversely inspirational quotes that greet you as you enter and exit. Has anyone actually seen the person place them? I thought not.

And the «Eco-​Wash» that is in the bowels of each of these Dunwich horrors are clearly coating your vehicle with some Cthulhu’an protoplasmic gel.
Descend past the Eco-​wash, and you’ll find the last remaining parking spaces «Reserved for Patrons of Forever Living Products.»
Now then, are those first 90 minutes of parking truly free???

Parking in Old Town Pasadena is an absolute nightmare! Unless you know about the Delacey Parking Structure that is! Why is it so cool? Well, you get a free initial 90 minutes of parking. 90 MINUTES FREE!!! Wow! It’s a mere $ 2 an hour after that. In all honesty, you don’t really need more than 90 minutes to hang out in Old Town. Old Town isn’t really that great. The structure has several levels and also has elevators. I never liked coming to Old Town before I found out about this structure. I can thank my BF for the knowledge of this place! What’s even better is that it is near Kenneth Cole and 21 Choices. Two of my favorite places!

I park at this structure sometimes when I am visiting Old Town. I really like that the first 90 minutes are free here (Why does Pasadena have to charge for parking? Totally hate that, don’t you?). And if I happen to stay a bit longer, then I have no shame in driving my car out of the structure and right back in for another free 90 minutes (yep, that’s right).
Anyways, I have always been fortunate to find a space here every time I’ve been here (both on weekends and week day evenings).
Overall, good place to park, as it is nearby a lot of great eateries and stores (Bird Pick, Cheesecake Factory, etc) and will keep parking here.

I park here due to location and the fact that you get 90 minutes free… can’t complain about that!
Why 1 star? Because of their dumb dumb dumb nonexistence «grace period» policy. Anyone who has parked here knows that on your way to the exit, if there’s a car waiting for a spot in front of you… there’s really no way to go around it. Not if that car is an idiot who takes up the entire lane.
Anyways, I swear… I was 3 minutes pass the ticket stub time stamp because 1. I was stuck behind that dumb vehicle on the way out 2. There was a line of cars waiting to exit ahead of me and the car at the pay booth was holding up the line.
3 minutes passed the timestamp, and I had to pay $ 2. BOY WAS I PISSED! I’ve been in similar situations before, and they’ll usually just let me slide. But nope, not here.
So plan on some extra time to get out of the lot if you’re cutting it close.
Sigh. I could’ve done more shopping if I knew I was going to pay $ 2 and get another hour.
This lot seriously needs to get some of those pre-​paid ticket machines.

This parking structure is my go-​to whenever I’m in Old Town Pasadena.
WHY I RECOMMEND THIS STRUCTURE:
PROS:
— First 90 minutes free! Freaking awesome! I generally don’t take that long to shop so it’s right up my alley. The other day, I had Noodle World with my aunt and cousins, and I was out for 2.5−3hrs, and I paid $ 2 for parking. I don’t mind… beats looking out for meter maids.
— I’ve always found a space, even if the space is for a compact car.
— The location of this parking structure is incredibly convenient! Its nearby all the shops and restaurants!
CONS:
— The elevator almost never works, so if you have a stroller, beware!
— The stairs is a little cramped, but they’re not horrible. On the plus side, these stairs don’t smell like urine! WOO HOO!
I def recommend this garage — don’t lose your ticket though, leave it in the car, or else its $ 20! And parking here at night is a flat rate of $ 5.
