Dashing Dogs and Cats Mobile Salon

We have spent many years searching for a proper groomer that does not upset our dogs, harsh them physically, and who knows how to cut their hair properly. It has been a frustrating search. After trying many competing services, I strongly feel Julia of Dashing Dogs and Cats Mobile Salon is as good as it gets in my area (NELA/​SGV).
Try this service out, you will not be disappointed and your dogs will thank you.
As mentioned above, we have 2 dogs that hate grooming. One is a feisty terrier that is hard to groom because she NEVER strops trying to escape. The other is a shy guy who was abused as a puppy. They are both challenging and usually come back poorly groomed, sometimes hurt, and always visibly shaken from all previous groomers. We have used Julia a few times now, and both dogs like her, have 0 signs of being shaken, and are always impeccably groomed.

Julia is the absolute best!!! My 6 yr old long hair cat had some pretty bad mats and I was looking for someone in my area with great reviews. I couldn’t find anyone close but I came across her page and she has THE BEST reviews, so I traveled a bit to meet up with her and see if she could help Rocky out. She returned my email with a call that same day and we booked an appointment the following weekend.
The second I met her, I knew she was going to be great! She was so sweet to Rocky and handled him great. She determined a lion cut would be best for him and OMG he loves it. He seems so much happier and more playful. He looks great and I can just tell he is proud of his new look.
Overall, Julia is amazing! She texted me pictures during the grooming so I knew everything was going great. That was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture. It made me feel less nervous and at ease that I knew Rocky was behaving and loving it. She is TERRIFIC and I highly recommend her if you have a little fur baby who needs grooming! :)

I never write a review, but this time I just had to «shout my joy!» I have a feisty, very fat, 15 year old cat who needed grooming… I took him to a place for a bath and cut. needless to say, I was called to pick him up… because he was behaving so badly… at my wits end I called Dashing Dogs and Cats! I spoke with Julia and we set up an appointment! Here’s what happened. OMG…the BEST service I have ever had.
1) She texted to confirm and texted to remind me a couple of days before appointment
2) She was on time!!! In a mobile trailer that is immaculate!
3) She finished when she said she would…
4) She was friendly to me, but more importantly, she was gentle and kind to «Chester» my cat
5) Chester looks like a milion bucks… he’s clean, clipped in a lion cut and came back in the house happy!
I can’t sing Julia’s praises with enough gusto! Bravo!

We have a six year old, 20 lb dog that we rescued when she was about one year old. Wonderful dog but when it comes to grooming, something must have happened to her during that first year that makes her almost impossible to groom. Sedatives help a little but she still needs to be muzzled. The end result she has never really had a complete grooming even with a very experienced groomer. Ears not done, tail not trimmed etc. I guess they just sort of give up.
I started using Julia, owner/​operator of Dashing Dogs and Cats, a few months ago and last week she found a combination of muzzle and eye shades (like used on horses) as a way of keeping her under control. Success! I was so happy. This is the first time she has had a complete grooming and I owe a debt of gratitude to Julie.

I have a 16 year old Mainecoon with many medical problems and he had never been bathed or groomed before. He is a very touchy cat and not easily handled by anyone and the vet said he should not be stressed out. My cat was covered with mats from head to toe. Julia, gave him a partial lion cut while leaving as much hair as possible. The hair was thinned and he was bathed, nails trimmed and ears cleaned. The complete job was an hour and a half and he looked absolutely beautiful. How Julia did this was beyond me. She was wonderful, quick and efficient. Her mobile trailer was so adorable and clean. My cat, after a day or so, felt great. He walked better and acted younger too. Julia is the best and although it was a bit pricey, she was worth ever cent. I will use her over and over.

Julia is the consummate professional in every way! Her adorable, immaculate trailer always pulls onto
my street right on time and after about an hour my dog comes trotting out looking like a million bucks! The only downside to the wonderful service is that it’s a bit pricey, but it is worth it to me for the convenience and an untraumatized dog. I would highly recommend Dashing Dogs!

This is the best service ever! I absolutely loved the way my cat looked. Her mobile salon is clean and very well kept and my cat was so calm afterwards. She’s the best. Worth every cent!!!

We continue to love DDaCMS! After I move I will still continue to work with Julia. She is the most kind, sincere and lovely professional I have had the pleasure to work with. I can’t say enough amazing things about her and how great Daisy looks every time. Just book early! She is worth the wait!

Amazing amazing amazing! If you go somewhere else you’re doing your four legged kid a disservice. Julia is phenomenal at what she does. She shows so much compassion, professionalism and an attention to detail that is second to none. I have three pooches that I would do anything for.
First of all, her mobile grooming rig is wonderful. It’s very spacious inside and extremely clean, like too, clean considering the amount of pets she grooms. She is very gentle and carrying when she was bathing my pets. Also she was very aware that my 14 year old chihuahua needed to be handled like a delicate little flower.
You get what you pay for that’s for sure! She does get booked up quick, so my advice to you is try to schedule as soon as you know a grooming is coming due. She is the real deal and I could not see my four legged kids being groomed by anyone other than Julia.

Julia was so sweet with my dogs, even my super timid dog Moose. When I walked my dogs after the groom, he actually tried to get back in her trailer, so that is a great endorsement! He also really warmed up to her and was very confident around her by the end of the visit. She clearly has a way with dogs and makes it very clear that she won’t do anything that will over-​stress your dog.
Dashing Dogs is super convenient – I set up the appointment via e-​mail, Julia made sure to confirm the day before, and she takes credit card which is great.
It’s a great alternative to dropping your dogs off at a place where they sit in a crate until you’re able to pick them up and I found the price to be comparable. I’ll definitely use her again.

Julia did a great job.
Pros:
+ My dog, a hyper terrier, looked great.
+ She provided very good feedback about his behavior, what he allowed her to do and when/​where he resisted her grooming efforts.
+ She gave me some good advice about using contact lens solution to break up the terrier «tear stains.»
+ She was right on time.
+ Her grooming trailer was roomy, modern and well-​equipped.
Cons:
— None I can think of.
Overall, great work, and we will be using her services again!

This is the best grooming service ever! Her prices are comparative to PetSmart but I don’t have to leave my dog all day!
My boys are always happy and beaming when they are done being groomed. Julie is great with handling our 2 German Shepherds and it is such a wonderful experience!

Julia is the best and is worth every penny! She is very professional and does a great job. The best part is that my Yorkie-​Poo is at ease with her and not traumatized by the grooming experience. Lula HATED going to Petco or Petsmart and would immediately scratch at the door when we entered the grooming salon. With Julia, it’s one-​on-​one care and attention.

julia is great! my first time using a mobile groomer for my long haired cat. she was on time, thorough, gentle and personable. she skillfully removed a few mats, bathed, dried, did his nails and brushed him out. his fur is so white and soft now. my cat is very timid and other than hiding under the bed for a couple of hours afterwards he did well. i would highly recommend julia. make sure to call a few weeks in advance as she is busy! see my before and after photos.

Julia came over today and gave my 17 year old cat, Oatmeal, a wash and cut. She also trimmed the nails of my other two female cats. Overall, this was an entirely wonderful experience. Julia is totally pleasant, skilled at what she does and her mobile salon is clean and professional. I had no reservations whatsoever leaving my babies in her careful hands. She has a cheerful demeanor and made the whole process easy and fun. She sent me photos during and after — all of which had me giggling. So cute. What a great extra-​special thing to do for her clients. I loved it. She did an amazing job and we will definitely be calling on her again.

It’s no secret that I have the WORST DOG EVER when it comes to bath time. I dread it. She dreads it. The WORLD DREADS IT.
When I found Julia after my last groomer went out of business (I think the lady went to vet asst school? So it’s a happy ending) I was over the moon.
Julia’s efficient and gentle and patient. She takes pictures during the process so you can feel better about being the devil that made you dog get washed.
She gives treats at the end and puts bows on even the orneriest of dogs (speaking of mine mostly)
She’s awesome. Highly recommend.

I searched mobile groomers and Ms. Julia was the only one with so many stars! She also does both dogs and cats which was an added bonus since we have both. My puppies are not toy dogs at 45 and 60 pounds so I was concerned but was quickly put at ease after discussing my concerns with Ms. Julia. My puppies have never been professionally groomed and despite their first-​time anxieties, they did well because of Ms. Julia’s demeanor. We will definitely be using Dashing Dogs and Cats Mobile Salon on a regular basis.

Used them to groom our extremely sweet but fearful large dog. Julia was outstanding, patient, and very understanding with our dog. She showed us the grooming area (which was sparkling clean) before she started and explained the process thoroughly. Will use her regularly from now on. Update: A week and a half later or so she’d emailed us a picture along with a thoughtful note. Five stars and worth every penny.

Julia is great with my Yorkie and Sheltie. She’s kind and gentle with my dogs and very thorough with their individual grooming needs. I’ve been using her for a while now and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants the very best for their pets!
