Founded in 1950, Chandler School offers classes from grades kindergarten though eight. The school enrolls more than 420 students and has more than 45 teachers. It provides a curriculum with thematic plans and activities, which is staff developed with input from faculty, parents and children and offers a cultural enrichment opportunity for children to explore and use their imagination. Chandler School s after school program gives children the chance to make choices to work alone, in small groups, or in large groups engaged in either active or quiet activities that are adult supervised. The school provides students an opportunity to participate in various sports, such as football, volleyball, track, golf, swimming and soccer. Its Summer @ Chandler Camp offers an extensive selection of educational and entertaining activities for children entering grades kindergarten through six. Chandler School is located in Pasadena, Calif.

History

Established in 1950.

Chandler School wass founded by Thomas and Katherine Chandler. 14 students, grade four through eight were enrolled in the school’s first year. The school thrived from the start. Since that time, Chandler has become one of the premier schools in the San Gabriel Valley, enrolling 450 students in kindergarten through eighth grade on the Pasadena campus overlooking the Rose Bowl.
