Ugh awful. They sent a burnt pizza, they did end up sending a new one but it was still nasty. Thumbs down for greasy pizza. Wish I had ordered dominos instead.

FOOD: Philly cheesesteak supreme($ 10.99 before tax): Good flavor for the sliced steak + soft roll = good philly. The steak fries were pretty good. My pickiness wants all the steak fries to be crispy(my order had some). OVERALL: Gotta come back for some of the pizza & other entrees.

Mexican pizza is yummy and the wings are pretty good. They cook quick and the value is fair. Definitely coming back and trying other pizzas. The handful of times we’ve ordered from here the pizzas have been pretty consistent. Cool spot, and the pasadena location is right next to a bar, seemingly all too perfect.

We stopped here for a bite, ordered the Philly sandwich and I ordered the chicken wrap cause it had avocado, which I love. Ordered it with no onions. Took 20 minutes for them to make even though we were the only customers there. Out came our order and my wrap was chock full of onions and the most unripe, rock hard avos I’ve ever seen. What was he thinking as he cubed these hard, unforgiving green cubes of disappointment? I mean it took some elbow grease to cut through that thing. I watched him do it, as slow as Mr. Bean in Love Actually, spending 20 minutes to sprinkle bits of chicken, tomato and unripe avocado into a lackluster little wrap. Would not recommend. Received two stars only because my hubby’s sandwich was OK.

I hate this place. Seriously. I cannot fathom why anyone who has a car or access to a metro station would come here. I’ve been here at about ten times out of the 6 years I’ve lived in Pasadena because it’s within walking distance and laziness or munchies will often result in the foolish mistake of thinking that I’ll actually receive decent pizza. It’s always either burned badly or meagerly topped. The last time I came here I chose cheese as a topping and got a slice with LESS cheese that I have when I get two vegetable toppings. Go figure! They even screwed up my coworker’s garden salad. Never again.

Have to say this is the best pizza place I’ve came across in Pasadena. Ordered buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, and a XL pizza, oh and we had to try the meatball sandwich. Everything was great, the food was super hot when it arrived(we did delivery) and it arrived in less time than they said which was awesome. Pizza crust wasn’t flavorless, the pizza itself was the bomb. Wings were nice and crispy on the outside, and the meatball sandwich was probably the best thing, especially the steak fries! Can’t complain about anything we got, only thing was trying to call the actual order in, they guy on the phone didn’t speak really good English, I had to repeat things like 20 times. But the only thing that mattered was that my order was right! This will be my new pizza place!
Ordered 2 pizzas here, a large 1 topping and an extra large 3 topping — $ 50 worth of pizza — to be delivered on 6⁄5. It took an hour to arrive. I called 30 minutes in and they said the guy was on his way. 25 minutes later, still no pizza for my 4 hungry kids so I call again. Guy is on his way they say. 5 minutes later, he arrives with apologies and cold pizza. At this point my kids just want to eat, no way can I send it back and wait another hour. I call again to express my frustration and the man who answers the phone really couldn’t give a crap. Even when I shared the experience of the night with his restaurant and said I’d never eat their pizza again. He just said Okay and hung up. In February we had ordered from here online for delivery for my mother in law’s birthday. The order processed and funds pulled from my account yet the pizza never came. We called several times no answer. So we drove down the street to see what was going on. It was closed — on a Friday night!!! Better just to go pick up a pizza from Domenico’s or order delivery from Pasadena Company.

The food is amazing here. Every time i’m in Pasadena, I always have to stop by here and try new things. I love the Ajarakan they have at big mama and papas pizza, its the best out of all the places I have tried. The service is also excellent.

Really bad experience! 1 hour and 35minutes late. 80+ bucks for two cold pizzas and cold wings and really cold garlic bread. I’m really disappointed. Momma and papas failed. Lial was our delivery man and Art was the cook. I was informed that there is no manager on duty on Sunday after i called to tell them how the wings were cold, the garlic bread was cold, and the pizza was obviously sitting under the warmer or something! And now dry and cold! He bluntly said that AFTER i was charged the full amouhaving been hung up on, I called back to complain, And was told that I was charged and that he will talk to the manager tomorrow, and that only the manager who will be in tomorrow morning can reverse the charges.

I will never go to or order anything from this place again just because of their poor customer service! Some people working there are straight up prejudiced assholes! I was craving khachapouri, and Armenian bakery that makes them and is located not far from my house was closed today(Sunday), so I decided to try Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria which also makes khachapouri but under«egg gondola pizza»(wth?!) I remembered that I had their pizza before when I went to Pasadena City College(someone in class ordered it a few times), and it was OK. I went on Eat24 and ordered two khachapouris(one regular, one with veggies) and a caprese salad. First, they called me and asked if they can use feta cheese instead of mozzarella in my caprese salad. I said OK because I understand that stuff happens, maybe they have run out of mozzarella cheese but I guess my salad was not caprese anymore. Second, my order got delivered within 20 – 25 minutes which is surprisingly fast especially considering other reviews here. But then the delivery guy asked me, «Are you from Russia?» and added, «It’s noticeable. They(Russians) never tip. Have a good day!» And he left. You know what? I am glad I didn’t tip because this guy doesn’t deserve my money. Simple as that. This kind of comment is unacceptable! To everyone who think I am a jerk for not tipping a delivery guy, hear me out. I’ve worked in service industry for many years, and I wasn’t on commission or got tips but I have developed a tremendous respect for everyone who works in the service industry. Normally, I tip 18−20% when I dine-in at the restaurants, and 10% for take out when I am a regular. I tip on deliveries, too but I invented my own rule based on my experiences. If I order for the first time from the place I’ve never ordered or been to before, I don’t tip unless I order from a huge chain like Domino’s or Papa John’s. I evaluate my first delivery experience on whether my order was correct or not messed up, whether the food was fresh and well-made, whether it was delivered within a reasonable time period or not, whether I received pleasant service, etc. If I have a positive experience, I’ll order for the same place again and leave a tip of at least 10% or more depending on conditions(if the weather is bad or there’s traffic or long distance, I will tip more) Someone may argue with me that my personal rule is wrong but it worked very well for me so far, plus, don’t forget that tipping is essentially optional; no-one should expect it. As for my food, it was just ok. Nothing spectacular or to die for or go there again.

I’ve been a customer since 2007. The food is good for sure. I normally get a big slice of pizza with a coke. I’ve recommended this place to many friends and they all liked the food, and now I’m recommending it to you too. Enjoy. :)

I can’t believe what just happened. I’m sitting here as the man behind the counter is being stubborn with my friends who are paying customers. The story: 3 friends and I walked in at and only 2 ordered at 4:45p. I sat down facing the counter so I watched as the another big older man trained another young man at the register right after my friends ordered. 30 minutes pass and still no pizza. Keep in mind we are the ONLY people here. One goes up to ask about his order and then the next goes up. I see the man look up and give me and my friend next to me a very dirty judging look. He goes out around the counter and looks inside the trash bin as if to see if they were lying about getting the order. Awkward. He goes around the corner and gives us that look again and says«you’re smart». We looked at him confused. He says again«you’re smart. Want to know why?» *still confused* «I know what you’re doing» he Accused my friends of having already received their order and trying to scheme for free food. WHAT? Oh AND he reeked of alcohol! He refused to give them their money back for their paid for pizza slices. I’m sitting here in disbelief of what’s happening. After about 5 minutes of arguing and just asking for the money back he’s realized he made a mistake and tells us he’s sorry-he gets a lot of college students in that try to steal from him. So I guess he just goes through life that way? Good luck running a business with that attitude and accusations. He offered to give my friends money but they just wanted their food. So he tried to make good by offering a free order of wings for the trouble and to me, «the lady». Good try but I’m still very upset over this and how he drunkenly accused us of being thieves. I work in the food & beverage industry and would never ever accuse such things so quickly.

Way overprice. We got 210″ pizzas for $ 40 that were way overpriced. Definitely not worth it. Also, their website was not user friendly and couldn’t get my address right. I probably won’t order from here again.

Pizza today was not to par. Won’t be here for awhile. Burnt and although they made it fresh(took 10 mins for our slices) still seemed to not have any taste. Pepper and cheese didn’t help either lol Sitting next door at Lucky’s and people tried to go in, but their doors were locked! It’s 430. Where are they? One couple went across the street. Two others got in their cars and left. Is this the way you run a business? Crazy.

The guy who was working behind the counter was a total jerk. I had a couple questions about the menu, toppings, etc., and he acted like I was asking him to perform quantum calculus while riding a unicycle. No one was behind me in line, and yet he became so impatient he asked«are you going to order or not?» Easy answer: Not.

My friends & I ordered a one-topping Big Papa 36″ pizza with salami on it. It was such a big pizza, the guy that carried it out to our truck had to get it through the doorway of Big Mama’s diagonally. It was a huge pizza… Ha! This particular massive pizza cost about $ 51… I cant remember how many slices you end up with but it fed about 20 of us that watched a pay-per-view boxing match one Saturday. The pizza was decent, the crust was good and the cheese/topping was tasty. Service was quite friendly and helpful, on the account of them carrying the pie to the truck. Good thing my friend had a lifted pickup truck. We put the pizza in the bed of his Chevy… It took up half the bed. Told you the pizza was huge. Perfect for big parties.
