Came for the NBA game 7. Good selection :) Ordered Big Daddy burger and sweet potato fries. Huge portions for both. Had lite BD beer– really good. Big screens to watch game. Service was a little slow but place was busy and we were offered a free 2nd beer. Would gladly come back…

Love the food here. The classic burger is one of the best burgers I have ever had. Delicious fries too. I want to try everything on their menu.

First time here and the guy recommended the«Daddy Burger» It hit the spot! Sooooo DELICIOUS! I was walking to go to In-N-Out next door and I saw this spot that also sold burgers so I decided to give them a try and I’m so glad I did! I also got a side of fries which by the way it seems to easily be shared between 2 – 3 people! Fries were awesome as well Staff was pleasant and the price was right.

If you’re going to the In-N-Out next door, you’re really missing out on this gem. And I love In-N-Out Burgers. But Big Daddy’s Fire Grill is the real deal. The burgers taste like homemade Gourmet Burgers. They are the perfectly cooked and the meat is much higher quality than in n outs. The onion rings are exactly what you dream onion rings are supposed to taste like. Everything ive tried has been excellent, and to top it off they show the games on tv. This place may be the best-kept secret in Pasadena.

Ordered a Big Daddy Burger, chili cheese fries and a beer. The burger was okay, nothing special, the chili fries were smothered with a bland cheese sauce which was not very appetizing and the beer was flat. Will not go back.

Well. its our very 1st visit. NO sausages on memorial weekend Sat at 3 pm… no apologies just a blank look, even though that’s what we came for. No smile or welcoming greeting. FOODWASAWFULTHEWORST $ 20bucks spent. We couldn’t finish our food and left hungry. HOTDOG buns were burnt they didn’t care. The onion rings were so crispy you couldn’t even bite into them. They were a total waste of our money. Ambiance is one thing but when you go somewhere to eat and you can’t even eat — you should be reaching out to your customers. My husband said I guess that’s why there’s only 2 tables of people at this place and In &OUT next door is packed! Maybe they should have refunded us our money and paid for us to eat next door because we left hungry and will never forget this nasty experience. NOCEILINGFANS on in the patio, which seemed to be half shut down. I wanted to sit in the back section with 5 tables with shade from sun and street but to no avail… No tvs turned on, cupboards closed .

I’ve eaten here quite a few times, and decided to finally write a review. This place has the potential to make a great hamburger. Everything’s there, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and the quality of the meat, but I wish they had squeeze bottles of mustard, ketchup and mayo, and self serve containers for onions and pickles. It seems no matter how hard you try to convey just how you like it, it gets lost in translation from the clerk to the chef. I like to dress my hamburger myself so I can get just the right balance of everything. I don’t think that’s asking too much when your paying $ 8.00 for a half pounder. Where they really fall short is if you order three or four other items you run the risk of your hamburger being served lukewarm or even cold and worse yet over cooked. There’s nothing worse than a cold over done dry hamburger. I have no qualm paying good money for a really great hamburger put it kind of hurts when your let down. So it is really disappointing when a hamburger joint has everything going for it to make a great hamburger then screws it up. What a shame. My friend liked their crisp chicken wings, but the fried onion rings were as tough as shoe leather. I must admit I only come here when Super Burger a couple miles away is closed. Big Daddy should take lessons from their competition.

First of all, we go in with a Groupon and try to use it. The owner denies us using it, saying that the location is under a different manager and there’s another one that accepts it. He was really rude and wasn’t will to working with us. We drive over there and the place is closed. No longer exists. Never going there again. Pissed the mgr told us this other place was open and sent us out the door if we wanted to use our Groupon. Who does that??? Then they also were out of half of the things on the menu. It’s memorial day weekend?! Who is out of anything on a weekend like this??? Poor mgmt planning. Terrible atmosphere and customer service. Hope they rot.

I ate here once and the burger was good. But I came back today and had chicken tenders and the chicken tasted acidic(probably spoiled). I got another batch and same thing only less acidic. Smh Had I not been on a lunch break, I definitely would’ve asked for my money back. Not coming back at all

Not very friendly service. Tried to order takeout by the phone, some lady answered the phone but she hanged up on me twice. If it was not because of my daughter wanting to eat the food there, I would never have gone there. I visited the bathroom when I picked up my food, and it needed some cleaning. The toilet paper dispenser was not working. It has been like that since my first visit a few weeks ago. The food, however, was not bad. I enjoyed the mushroom burger and my daughter liked her classic burger. The garlic fries were delicious. If they can improve the service, it definitely has potential. Their burgers are definitely better than the In And Out next door.

First time going here and we tried their signature hamburger and garlic fries. Their beef is decent quality and their fries were good but a bit oily. Their wood smoked hamburger is definitely worth coming back for.

The hamburger is almost perfect. The bun was nicely toasted. My only complaint was the bun to meat ratio. The bun seemed to swallow the patty. If I had ordered a double it probably would have been perfect. Is it impossible to use 2 sizes of buns? The onion rings were divine. The fries were good as well. The décor was very dated. Compared to in n’ out it was pricey.(I hate to compare small businesses to large corporations), but the quality of the food doesn’t justify the cost. In and out is a better burger at half the price.

Caveat: this is a review for the turkey burger and fries only. Sorry Big Daddy but something needs to change here. I’ve been here 3 or 4 times and I think I’m in denial because I want it to be good so badly. But the turkey burger is mushy like a veggie burger and the fries are just meh. Believe me it breaks my heart to write this. Big daddy’s is next door to In and Out, and I always thought I was making out since the lines at the in and out were super long and there’s never a line at big daddy’s. Then they have the wood fire grill. And the smell like they are serious about burgers. And In and out doesn’t have turkey burgers. So youd think they might be able to compete at least on turkey burger front. But this is not a viable substitute. It would be so cool if it was. Consider this an open letter to big daddy management. I would be glad to send you my turkey burger recipe if you need it. Let us know when you’ve changed your recipe. I’ll be the first in line to try it.

Terrible service. No greeting or acknowledgement when we walked in. We will never come back. There are plenty of other burger places. The In and Out next door was way more inviting and actually provided customer service!

Must get the garlic fries! BESTEVER! I came here because my friend recommended the place. The burgers here are very juicy and are like classic backyard burgers if that makes any sense. Straight from the grill. BUT they are on the pricier side. My boyfriend and I spent around $ 32 and we ended up getting two 1⁄3 classic burgers, onion rings, garlic fries, and a medium drink. All the portions are pretty big and the sides are big enough to share. It’s right next to In n out and while I was eating, it made me think how much money I could’ve saved eating there. LOLOL. By the way, I recommend sitting outside because the inside is VERY hot. This place is one of those where you want to stop by once in a while.

Ordered a classic burger with cheese, no onions and pickles, with regular mayo instead of the dijon mayo(yes, I’m an extremely picky eater) and they served me a burger of course with pickles and onions. So I let the server know and he was like ohh they must have gotten it confused and read me back my correct order off the receipt. I was okay because they said they would remake my burger, except for they brought me out the same burger just with the onions and pickles picked out. I hate pickles so much so the fact that I could taste the pickle juice was disgusting, not to mention I bit into a left over piece of onion. And as much as I love my meat well done it was a little on the burnt side. The only reason we came here was because in n out had a long line and there was no one here. Needless to say next time I’ll stick with in n out like I originally planned. There’s a reason they have long lines and big daddy’s doesn’t.

Pricey but you get what you pay for. The burgers and chicken sandwich are pretty epic. They taste amazing thanks to their meat prep and the garlic aioli. Downside would be that you have to pay extra for cheese on a burger which is already priced pretty high. I’m a chili cheese fry addict and I can say that these are kinda in the middle of the pack. The fries and chili are great, but they put nacho cheese on it which kind of kills it. Some shredded chedddddda would be much better. If you want a great burger, check it out. You’ll have no trouble finding parking. It’s the huge lot next to In n Out.

This is my go to place for a good burger and a nice lunch! My usual order consists of: CLASSICBURGER — sometimes with cheese other times with avocado — Always BOMBBBB — their burgers always have that smoky taste fro their grill that makes their food taste good! GARLICFRIES — beware you will smell like garlic for a little bit but so worth it *___* — IT’S MYFAVORITESIDE Other items I have enjoyed: FILETMIGNONSANDWICH — pretty good — comes with grilled onions that make the sandwich a little sweet — I honestly prefer the burger over this sandwich but I just had to try this SALMONSANDWICH — sooooo good! — the sauce and the fish go together perfectly! — a good alternative to a burger when you want something different ONIONRINGS — Super crunchy! — Made with red onions so they’re sweet but salty! — dip them in ranch for the best combination ever It’s everything you would want in a good burger joint! 5 stars for the food but 4 stars for the service/portions(I once only got 4 onion rings with my meal even though I paid extra to get them) But overall, my normal experiences here have made me leave completely satisfied!

If you like charred burgers, then this is your place. Not charbroiled burgers, CHARREDBURGERS. Like carcinogenic. To Hell and back. You get the idea. It’s a real damn shame because I was really looking forward to this place too. At least we know they utilize a real fire grill in the back… I got a 1⁄3 lb Classic Daddy with cheddar cheese($ 5.95) whereas my friend got a ½ lb Big Daddy Burger($ 7.95). Both of our burgers were completely blackened. I kept eating because I didn’t feel like creating a fuss there, kept eating hoping that only a small portion of it would be burnt. NOPE. Completely burnt all around. Same for my friend’s Big Daddy Burger. My pictures say it all. Even if the burgers weren’t burned to a crisp, I have a hard time justifying the prices; it was more bun than anything. What kills me is the fact they had the nerve to even serve this to us; any fool can see that the patties were sizzled to a crisp. We were still so hungry that we ended up at In-N-Out, which is right next door, and chowed down on 3x3s animal style. Don’t believe me? Look at my very next check-in after I checked into Big Daddy’s. Very reluctant to give this place another chance… maybe one day… but the 1-star stays for now.
