History

Established in 2009.

Beyond the Olive opened for business back in 2009 just off of Colorado Boulevard in Old Pasadena. In June of 2014, we had to close our flagship location when our lease expired.

In November of 2014, Beyond the Olive opened for business inside «The Bea’s Knees» (which is a boutique gourmet food store nestled inside the «Stat’s» building). The Bea’s Knees is located two blocks South of our previous location at 120 South Raymond Avenue (still in Pasadena). Unlike our previous location, there is a TON of free parking available behind the Stat’s building. In addition to the traditional Beyond the Olive products that our customers have become accustomed to, The Bea’s Knees also has gourmet cheeses, wines and sandwiches available.

Beyond the Olive was created in 2009 by husband and wife team, Chip and Crystal Reibel. Many years before starting their business, Chip and Crystal learned to understand and appreciate the positive attributes and aspects of high-​quality extra virgin olive oil. In addition to the terrific taste, they learned of the countless health benefits that also come from this tasty treat. As Chip and Crystal shared their new love for high-​quality extra virgin olive oil with their friends and family, it became apparent that most consumers have not had the opportunity to experience a premium quality extra virgin olive oil nor are they aware of the tremendous health benefits.
