Anyone who would write a negative review of any nature about a long time family run business like Frank & Son must be getting paid off by the competition. If any customer ever had a bad experience, the brother and sister owners would make it right without hesitation. Excellent excellent homemade Italian recipes & specialty dishes. I found this restaurant 40 years ago and I am still going there today. The family members and staff are cordial and friendly. Their pizza of any variety is exceptional. Their sandwiches and dinners the same, as well as reasonably priced. Their turnaround time is incredible. Before you ever decide to not try Frank & Son due to a few negative posts on Unilocal, think again. And if you ever are dissatisfied with your meal in any way… just tell Frank and he will make it right. Great pizza, great family, great service!!!

Had a nice couple of slices one evening and enjoyed talking to one of the daughters of the owners. I will be back ;) Thanks!

Definitely would never eat or order from here again.(Sorry!) The food is majorly lacking in quality and flavor, and there is a definite negative vibe/energy from the staff or owners(not sure exactly who they were, but they worked there). Outdated… Much better food in Parsippany. Pizzas and salads — a big No.

They have really slipped in the last three months. They used to have great pizza but now it’s been super overcooked — I mean, hard to chew overcooked. we used to order from them at least every other week but now we are shopping for. New pizzaria. what did me I was the moldy taste on the pizza from today. No one should have to spit out food bc it tastes moldy — just gross. Sorry Frank&sons but you screwed up.

It saddens me to write this review because when I first moved to Parsippany we really liked this place(easily four stars had Unilocal been around then)-even though it was all the way across town. If you’ve read my reviews you know I love pizza, I consider it the perfect food(bread, veggies/fruit, meat, oil, dairy), so I am pretty picky-some would say snobby-about my pizza. The pizza here has always had a bit of a thicker crust than I usually prefer, but when it was cooked well done it was delicious. I also liked the sauce on their pies-not too sweet and pretty flavorful. However, something happened over the years. I don’t know if they are using the same ingredients or they are just not putting the same effort into it that they used to, but the food just isn’t the same. Recent visits over the past 1 ½ years have brought us unevenly cooked/doughy pizza, what seems to be a difference in their sauce, meatball parm sandwiches where the meatballs seemed very bready, and sausage that always seems to be mushy and overcooked. The service here has also slipped in recent years-not mean, not surly(if it were I wouldn’t go back), but almost robotic and like they have no interest in engaging you in conversation. Very odd for a family run place. Look, all I want for ANY pizza place is to be successful and to provide great pizza and service with a smile. I really, really hope Frank & Son can get back to what made them a very good pizza place. I’ll stop in once in a while to see if they’re back on track, but if not there are other places all over town, including two pizza places within ½ a mile… Please go back to what made you guys great… I WANT to give you more stars…

Sorry, but if this was the state of the art 40 years ago when they opened, it’s been blown out of the water by what you can get now. This pizza is unevenly cooked, crust is too thick, ingredients are a little too sparse and haphazard. Plus the price is too high. Considering all these elements put together, and with other places so close by, try again. Tradition only gets you so far.
