THe place is upscale, and very clean… What i like is that they don’t put a HUGE ball of rice on a THIN piece of fish… they proportion it well, and its always clean and being looked after. Something else, is the sushi chefs are very nice, as is the help. what was pretty cool was that they were playing BONJOVI album on the whole time i was there… Pretty cool and makes it a bit cooler than most of the buffets out there. Lunch is 9.99 not including drink… It sits back in a shopping center, so make sure you have your GPS with you and enjoy!

Sadly, I have to re-review this once wonderful restaurant. While the restaurant used to be clean, and the food fresh and of good quality, now that the original owner has sold the place, everything has gone downhill. Way downhill! We tried it more than once, thinking maybe we just had a bad experience, but not so. Our good friends who used to go there agree, and do not go to Edo anymore either. We are so disappointed as this was a restaurant we regularly frequented. The décor has changed and now looks cheap and dirty. On one visit, we sat in a booth and there was something all over the wall next to us. We should have got up and left just then, but didn’t. Also, they replaced many of their better quality dishes with cheaper/lower quality items. Anytime a restaurant does this to try to increase revenue, I notice they are out of business within months. So sad this once great restaurant has failed so badly.

Stopped by here with colleagues for a business lunch during a weekday and had the buffet. My star rating is reflective of the buffet only and the place itself. The venue was clean and the waitress very pleasant who took us to our seats, a little cluttered around the entrance we sat in the front. Good selection of buffet food but it wasn’t good. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour, I’ve had way better and the buffet selection did seem to have sat for too long and some wasn’t hot anymore. Dumplings were soggy, beef and broccoli was a little tough and tasteless, noodles were soggy and stuck together and the rice was just OK. Normally sweet and sour pork/chicken are supposed to be in a crispy batter, so why do they put it in the sauce and let it stand for an hour to go soggy — I don’t get it? Put the sauce in a jug at the side and problem solved. The chicken and beef selections were cheap cuts and therefore chewy or dry, the veggies were soft from standing around for too long. I didn’t try the sushi and I’ll never eat seafood that’s been standing around. All in all, I’ve had better. It was certainly not worthy of «upscale» I guess they are trying to use words to convince people rather than let the food do the talking. Maybe dinner or a la carte is better, but I wouldn’t waste my money on the Buffet.

Hands down… on of the best sushi buffets in this area. No joke– we’ve traveled over an HOUR to eat here! The sushi is fresh, and the selection is fantastic! The sushi chefs will cut sashimi special for the customers if you ask. The rolls are«fancy» and delightful. I can’t attest to the other food to be honest because when we come here we only eat sushi/rolls; however, my family members have eaten the hibachi and have all said very good things. The price is reasonable, but personally I believe it is a better deal to go for lunch. This place is definitely worth trying!

Came here since I was nearby and had quite the apatite as did my friend. It looks like your average Asian Buffet, but the food wasn’t good. I stuck with the typical and familiar foods before going for the sushi. The dumplings were gross, as were the crab ragoons. The pepper steak was fine, as were most of the other meat dishes. Unlike most buffets, this place has the food in smaller quantities than you’d expect and in glass cooking dishes that they set in the stainless steel buffet area. Now, at first I thought this to be a good thing: by having smaller portions out at any given time, there’s less waste and chances are that the food would be fresher here than at the standard buffet — that was until I had to wait 30 mins for my favorite dish to be replenished. The gentleman at the front was very polite and friendly. Overall, the quality and taste of the food just was not what I expected, so I will probably try elsewhere next time.

Just OK. If you have a groupon or other«deal» it might be OK. but. just OK The servers are friendly, there are lots of them, but not terribly efficient. It is not really that comfortable to sit there… kind of noisy even when not crowded The sushi was OK… just OK the other food was OK a lot of the Chinese dishes tasted alike Oddly they were very skimpy on all the food displayed, like 3 wontons sitting there to put in soup 4 pieces of vegetable tempura sitting in a small dish The soup may have been the best tasting thing there both the miso soup and the wonton soup(when they had won tons out) The crab legs were horrible… mushy, bad tasting. Desserts did not look good, the green tea and red bean ice creams were pretty tasty tho The décor seems nice until you look around… very messy the front counter, bar area is a mess, lots of flyers, junk around. A large jug of water on a shelf, lots of paperwork and mess very strange I think that Santo’s buffet nearby is a much much better choice and blows Edo out of the water JMO

This was the second time we had gone to Edo. The second time there was certainly not as good as the first — crab was mushy — chicken dishes were heavy with sauces — sushi was just okay Lots of Krab but NEVER any crab in the sushi. Server brought our check — we presented a $ 5.00 coupon — server took the check back to recalculate. Keep in mind there were two of us, not 6 people. A 15% gratuity was then added which resulted in the total charges being higher than without the coupon. Or calculated at 20% not on tax. They had no right to add a tip. THISDIDNOTGOOVERVERYWELLFOREITHEROFUS. This along with the mediocre food and food not worth the higher than average prices, has lead US to the conclusion that this will be our last visit there. After research this I found that what they did was illegal since proper notice was not given. Fl Statutes: 509.214Notification of automatic gratuity charge. – Every public food service establishment which includes an automatic gratuity or service charge in the price of the meal shall include on the food menu and on the face of the bill provided to the customer notice that an automatic gratuity is included.

By seeing the other reviews, it seems like I’m the minority. That’s great for Edo because apparently people like terrible quality food. I have been eating at Edo Sushi Buffet for a little over a year now and have only seen a sharp decline in quality since what I believe is the taking over by new owners. If you go there for lunch, you can’t argue with the selection and quality for the price that you’re paying. However, if you go there for dinner things are completely different. Why pay the price of Edo Sushi Buffet when you can easily go to Shinju Sushi Buffet located on Glades Road/Turnpike. I’m a Coconut Creek resident and will happily drive a bit farther for a far better selection and quality in food. I enjoyed Edo and was saddened by it’s sharp decline in quality. I even went out of my way to express my concerns to the business on facebook. Apparently my concerns weren’t heard. I used to go with friends for lunch, now they refuse to go. Sadly, I no longer have a local sushi spot and will not be returning to Edo. I had also spoken to sushi chefs that once worked there about what was going on. The group I spoke to told me that there were new owners and that they were trying to cut costs with everything and in doing so were cutting quality. Edo went from being a great sushi buffet to just another diner quality asian buffet. They are now a dime a dozen. Goodbye Edo. I’m done.

I went here for the first time last week. I went with a friend for lunch. She is not a sushi lover so she was very pleased with the non-sushi selections. I loved everything, sushi, non-sushi, desert. I had never been to a sushi buffet place and I really enjoyed looking at my sushi before choosing. Can’t wait to go there again.

I NEVER one to complain. However I thought you should know about this. I bought a certificate for Edo Sushi Buffet in Parkland. It was an awful experience from beginning to end. The hostess, who as it turns out was also the owner, was extremely rude. She was rushing around and hassled because she had a big party coming in. She first sat us in the front room and we were surrounded by young screaming children. We asked to be moved. She was not happy. She left us on the line and kept taking people after us. When we were finally seated it was in the back, not a room, but more like a storage area. We were given no attention back there. Our plates were accumulating back there and the waiter only came once to clean up. The food was sub par– slop! What we had originally thought was going to be a lovely evening at a great price was a horrendous experience. We have been happy to try your recomendations of restaurants in the past but this one was disastrous. They also added a 15% gratuity! An unhappy customer.

Nice buffet that is refreshingly clean. They also have a few items that most buffets scale back on, like tuna sushi that isn’t just chopped bits, green-lip New Zealand mussels, and a nice cold peel-and-eat shrimp. The hot bar is okay, nothing to write home about, but the sushi selection is great. Good selection of beers and some sake. Calling it «upscale»? It’s better than some, about the same as others. If clean counts though, it’s UPSCALE.

We have been here several times & consistently like the sushi, salads, bar-b-q– pork & the Mongolian grill. the tempura was the only disappointing thing– too cold. oysters on the weekend were nice & cold tho just like they are supposed to be! having leechee for dessert is nice too & the duck wraps were full of meat _tho the wrapper was not so great. We keep trying different things & like most of them. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Good tea also.

Ehhhhh… I went enthused after reading how great this place was… I left feeling disappointed. This place is okay. I went for lunch on a weekend. The staff is nice and there is a decent variety of sushi rolls and food. there’s even a hibachi grill, however the food wasn’t fresh. When I ate there everything seemed to have been sitting there for a while. It was disappointing… and I left feeling queasy. I probably won’t go back there again.

This isn’t a super buffet with a hundred different items but the food is fresh. They have a few Thai dishes along with the Japanese and Chinese items which is kinda different. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have green tea ice cream that day but they did have the red bean so I settled. Good service, good price and good food. Will be back.

Trying to find this place is sort of like trying to find the train to Hogwarts. It doesn’t show up on any navigation system or on Google maps. But once you do find it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially for a buffet. Lunch for 4 cost under $ 60 and the service is great. A lot of sushi and different rolls, along with bits of Chinese and Thai food. They also have kimchee sauce which is pretty interesting. And they have my favorite shrimp dish. I think it’s called walnut shrimp minus the walnut. It’s like a sweet mayo dressing that covered deep fried shrimp. SOGOOD!

Had lunch with several coworkers here. Expecting the usual buffet, I was very surprised by the quality of food, freshness and variety. I will definitely be back.

I went here for my birthday I thought it was a great sushi buffet, they had every roll that you could think of and they had a great selection of soups and Asian food such as Lo mien, fried shrimp, chicken wings, mu shu pork, ribs and so on. The service was very good the only thing i had problem with was the temperature of the food, It wasn’t warm and the tempura roll was cold. But I will go there again,

Solid sushi buffet! I went here the other night with the fam for a sushi filled Christmas Eve and was very impressed(the fact they had ESPN on made the experience all more enjoyable) They easily have over 20 different types of rolls to offer plus the sushi chefs will make something for you if you don’t see it on the line. When I am around sushi, I have my blinders on so I really didn’t check any of the other hot items out too much but looked like the standard chinese buffet items you’ll find plus some American meals. I visited the hibachi grill so I could eat at least one cooked thing during my meal. They offer a variety on the hibachi grill as well like the standard steak, chicken and shrimp but when we went they offer a fresh piece of Chilean sea bass plus they are quick with making it right in front of you. The have veggies they cook up for you with your meat like shroomies, peppers, sprouts, onions, etc. The dessert line had ice cream but who ever has room for ice cream afterwards? I thought it was pretty cool they offered sugar free along with fresh fruit and other standard niblets of dessert. I think it was only $ 16.95 for all you can eat dinner and I heard they have a $ 10 lunch buffet which pretty much offers the same as dinner. If I lived here, I would definitely be back for more along with their $ 4.95 glasses of wine.

My wife and I decided to give this Pan Asian Buffet a try after they dropped the price of their buffet by a couple of bucks to draw in customers. Overall we were pretty satisfied with our experience. The restaurant is well appointed, with faux Shoji screens and blue Japanese roof tiles adorning the top of the sitting areas, it almost gives you the impression you are sitting in a Japanese house. Now to the food. Great hibachi. Shimp, beef, chicken and even fish can be cooked with your choice of vegetables. Very flavorful and definitely one of the better hibachi. Also served from the hibachi area is Peking duck, served in traditional pancake, scallion slices and Hoisen sauce. Unfortunately, the sushi and sashimi was uneven, with some tasting very good(salmon) and others not so hot(white tuna). The Thai choices were pretty good and included skewered curry chicken, pad thai, and panang curry. The Chinese and Japanese regular food items were good, but not exactly great — specifically as it applies to fried foods. It is essential that fried food should be served hot and unfortunately it appears the servers forgot this element of cooking as the tempura, dumplings and egg rolls were cold. At some point, I am sure they were delicious, but you can’t help but feel you are biting into something slightly past its«best served by» date. However, given the wide variety of items(and the huge amount of seafood offered) they have, there are plenty of other things to choose from that still make this place worth coming to.
