Mayas’ Restaurant & Sports Cantina

Stopped in this afternoon for lunch. I have been here before and was always pleased with the food and service. Today it was a different story. I ordered their enchilada plate and was disappointed in the meal. The food was bland and to be honest not very good. The service was slow and it took us a while to get chips and salsa and then when we were finished, we sat for 10 minutes waiting for a check… not sure I will try this place again…

Decided to stop in on our way out of Parker. Building is in need of repair as is entrance to the restaurant. Service was horrible with just two servers on Valentine’s Day. Both servers running around like crazy. How can a Mexican Restaurant mess up Huevos Rancheros? Well, it was the most bland meal. Two cold corn tortillas with two fried eggs on top, sprinkled with cheese and what tasted like canned sauce poured on top. My husband never received his eggs with his breakfast. Save your money and go to a different restaurant.

My wife and I decided to go to Parker to find a restaurant that we have not eaten at. This restaurant had many people and we decided to eat at this restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and the workers were working diligently to help the customers. As we walked in we were greeted by a hostess which took us to our table right away. My wife and I did not have to wait at all. The hostess was very friendly and guided us at a table and asked us what we wanted to drink. She passed out the menu and informed us of their special. Although the restaurant was busy, the staff had a positive attitude that made us feel welcome. The waitress brought us our drinks and took our order. As our waitress finished taking our order another waitress brought us some chips to snack on. The wait was not long. We received our food with in 20 minutes. My wife had the chicken enchilada dinner and I had the beef enchilada dinner. The food was piping hot. The cheese melting over the sauce and enchiladas. The rice was cooked to perfection and one can taste the Mexican spices used to make the rice. The beans had an authentic Mexican flavor that brought to mind our trip to San Luis Mexico. The enchiladas had plenty of meat and flavor. The spices and sauce used for the enchiladas was fantastic. I would highly recommend anyone that goes to Parker Arizona, should stop by Maya’s Restaurant and have a wonderful experience eating their wonderful food.

Only had lunch there once, it was pretty busy. Always a good sign. Service was great. Seating was uncomfortable. Meal was okay, we’ve had better.

Tacky décor and a bit run down. Perfect! The food is very good and the staff is very friendly. Recommend!
Also got superbowl party food. It was great and there was tons of ot.

Very disappointed in the food and service last night. The taste was fair but we waited over an hour for it to be served. They did discount our meals because of the issues but they will soon be out of business if this situation continues. Blaming it on a new chef doesn’t excuse bring incorrect food to the table or forgetting to being ordered items.

The food and service are superb here! We had the taco salad and a combo platter… both were huge servings as well as incredibly tasty. Mary was our waitress and she was super nice and efficient. This will definitely be our go to restaurant when we’re in Parker!

Not a place we will stop at again. Better choices in the area. Service was poor, food was average.

Second evening in a row and very good both times. Great service and food, even with our large table this evening. A regular stop for us.

I am only rating Maya’s with 4 stars because we have not tried their Mexican food as of yet. But we have been twice within the past week, having breakfast at 9:30 P.M. once and hamburgers the other time and their hamburgers are to die for. Breakfast was very good as well.
We had no problem with a long wait and it was packed our first night there. We found the serving staff to be friendly & eager to please while not hovering. We plan to return Saturday evening for dinner and to hear their singer. We have have heard that she is fabulous.
My husband & I both highly recommend this for dining.

Went to Maya’s with my wife, and 4 other people. The service was excellent, and the food was awesome. The chicken fried steak stole the show!

All my classmates for our 30^th reunion had dinner here and everyone of us really enjoyed our meal!

We read some reviews and honestly I don’t know what people are talking about! The food was cold, the flavor was so bland and the salsa was twangy like it was going bad. I guess no one around here knows what good Mexican food is. The only thing I recommend is the beer it was nice and cold and it came out of a bottle so they can’t get it wrong! Next time stick to Roberto’s
across the street now that is some Great Mexican food!

Party of four on a Saturday at the river without a wait. Good or bad thing? Raspberry margarita was only ok, but it was happy hour so not to expensive. Service was slow on orders and kitchen was not quick given the number of people.
The Asada dish I got was cover in a salsa that I thought for sure I was not going to like. Wrong, very tasty with carmelized onions and other decent spices. Home made?, tasted good. One tortilla shell… they brought more after I asked. Rice was nasty and over cooked. Order only beans. Three types of beans, I will go again and try other styles. Speed up servers and work on the décor.

We were looking for a different Mexican food place here in Parker and I think we found it. The staff was very attentive and the food was very tasty.

Don’t waste your time or money. It took more than and hour for tacos that were small and weren’t even good. The beer wasn’t cold. There seemed to be a lot of staff but they just ran around with out direction. We should have known to leave right away when we saw a dozen tables and no one had any food. They have a host counter when you walk in but no one is there to direct you where to go. This place should just be a bar and forget the dining. Well a bar that serves warm beer. Go if you like that kind of thing. Drive the extra 45 minutes to Lake Havasu.

My new go-​to place for Mexican food! I just wish I could take them with me as I travel.
Our waiter was Nick and he was personable and knowledgable and very attentive to our needs, which was primarily more salsa :) I ordered the taco and enchilada plate with a beef, a chicken and a fish taco and a cheese enchilada, along with their charro beans and rice as sides. My friend ordered the carne asada chile relleno plate. Both were excellent! The charro beans were super tasty, the rice perfectly cooked. Each of the tacos were also tasty as well as the enchilada. My friend said her food as delicious, too. The chips are very thin and the salsa scrumptious! The house-​made horchata was the best I’ve ever had.
I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Parker. Thank you!
