Clarke Farms Community Association

I like Clarke Farms. We just moved here a few months ago, but the community is great. I am just now trying to set up a meetup group for the neighborhood.

It was the first day that the pool was open, and I went with a friend and his son. As a former resident of this neighborhood, I had been to this pool in the past. The pool is pretty straightforward (lap lanes, deep end, low board, slide like you might see in a McDonald’s play area, kiddie pool, sun chairs, picnic tables, and concession area).
My primary complaints about the pool would be:
1) They are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The weather in Colorado is such that the pool should really be open at least a month longer on either end of the season. This seems to be tied to an old-​fashioned model of cheap summer labor. But, with most teens having to go back to school in mid-​August these days, why follow this model?
2) They kick all the kiddies out of the pool once an hour. I assume this is for safety reasons (to check for dead bodies, etc), and that is all well and good. But, they do not just kick them out for 5 minutes, or even 10, but for a full 15 minutes. This is an eternity to an 8-​year old who just wants to get back in the water.
