I felt compelled to write a review since I’ve been a customer of Jon’s for a few years now and have had the exact opposite experience of Cheri P.
I have found Jon to be extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy, which is frankly a rarity among people who sell video and pinball machines (and I’ve dealt with a lot of them). He is up-​front and honest and I’ve always been happy with any transactions I’ve had with him. If there was ever anything wrong, Jon has gone above and beyond to make sure I’m happy. Furthermore, his prices are MUCH better than what you will find at any retail store. What more can you ask for?
I find it amusing that anyone would come down so maliciously on a small business for not taking a check. Small businesses have to protect themselves from dishonest people — and sometimes that means paying cash. If you don’t like it, go to a retail store where you are going to pay 2−3x more than Jon’s prices (and they’re probably still not going to take a check). There’s a reason his prices are so much lower than retail storefronts. You can’t have it both ways.
